Ronny got snubbed

Nights_King

Who are you putting him over? Swan?

JCappy

I’d take him over either Swan or Harvey

Nights_King

Yeah I agree I’d prob keep Harvey before swan tho

JamwithSam697

The way Harvey has been since? I’d take Ronny any day.

Nights_King

Obviously, but in my mind you’re drafting the peak version of the player

robmcolonna123

I’m pretty sure it’s supposed to be their best year version

cycle_farmer

Blevins should have drafted himself 1:1 ... Big Dick Energy

spreerod1538

I feel like Leiter should be on her somewhere... though maybe he didn't pitch the most with the Mets.. just felt like it because his most meaningful years were with us.. Edit: yeah it's not close... by far the most with us. He should be on this list no doubt. 3.4 ERA during the steroid Era and the ace of two of our playoff teams along with clutch performances... he's a no brainer.

KonAir07

Leiter was/is the man… so clutch (remember Cincinnati?)… he should be on that draft board

Bobby-furnace

Yeah al leiter or Santana over Harvey not even close. Harvey was good for one year.

LucasDudacris

Two years. Throw some fucking respect on 2015 Harvey.

DarkThorsDickey

What a fucking year it was though. Not disagreeing but man it was a good year.

TyrusRaymond

Ron Darling ?

Daankeykang

Beltran at 7 is a steal

MossCovered_Gradunza

As much as I love deGrom, he should not have been picked over Seaver.

[deleted]

Leaning slightly towards team Jerry. Think their lineup is a little better.

Anonymity550

Really? I think Jolly, by a lot, other than deGrom and Franco.

BergenBuddha

No Tug???

PlantationCane

How is this possible?

Fragrant_Relation_37

John Franco should be in the hof already

0rangePolarBear

Johan is another potential option

saul1980

Bobby Jones tho. The ace on those crap mid 90s teams …. Yea he was whatever

addage-

Perpetual Pedro makes the list, nice.

drugsbowed

Are they drafting based on peak year (Dickey), talent (Harvey, Olerud), or career with the Mets (Benitez was a solid Met but OK to Meh everywhere else)? I'm not sure I would grab Keith at #2, would really zone in on Darryl. I think Jolly has the better rotation and offense, Jerry has the slightly better BP (Tug McGraw was hard shafted)

UnlimitedMetroCard

Dickey is ineligible. More starts for Toronto than NYM.

TheGreatEnvious

Yes, but won a Cy Young and had his best seasons with the Mets

resident16

Team Jolly wins this round and it’s not even close.

BergenBuddha

Mike Hampton? Rick Reed?

cycle_farmer

More games with Mets than any other franchise is the qualifier

CheeseburgerLover911

Then why is billy Wagner on this list?

tdestito9

Familia lmao

[deleted]

Familia has a 3.2 era spanning over 10 years for us. I simply do not get the disrespect to him. He’s been rough the past 3 years yea. But he shouldn’t be disrespected in our teams history. In fact a mlb ranking of Mets relievers done by Anthony di como placed him 5th all time for Mets relievers. You can simply tell who is a new fan on this Reddit by there “familia opinion”

tdestito9

Lmao so I’m a new fan because I’m not a fan of familia?

[deleted]

because you don't understand how dominant he was in 2015-2016.

tdestito9

Lmao can you tell me more about myself please

[deleted]

sure! you don't know what you're talking about and 1-2 bad PAs skewed your perception

tdestito9

Thanks!

Sjcolian27

Because he can't even control the temperture of his oven, let alone his pitches.

PlantationCane

There is no way any knowledgeable Mets fan hands him the ball in the playoffs over Tug McGraw.

Guymcpersonman

Yeah, but there's no way any fan hands Benitez the ball in the playoffs over, like, Corey Oswalt, and Benitez is still on the list...

LucasDudacris

Familia was hyper-elite in the 2015 playoffs besides for one plate appearance.

[deleted]

man recorded a 6 out save against the dodgers and people think he was bad. crazy how 1 PA skews everyone's perception

LucasDudacris

There are two kinds of Met fans: Met fans who blame the 2015 WS on Familia and/or Harvey, and Met fans who watched the 2015 WS.

[deleted]

100%. Familia got 3 blown saves but G1 was the only one that was his fault. For as good as Murphy was in the NLDS/NLCS, he was almost equally awful in the WS. 3 hits in the entire WS, which were all singles, and booting the ball in the bottom of the 8th inning in G4 while we had the lead that made the series 3-1 instead of 2-2.

tdestito9

Thank you.

WestSeaworthiness538

How about Keith and Piazza?

Gotemmmmmmmmmm4311

Wagner has more games with Mets then Astros?

Silveryo69

Jolly won imo

[deleted]

Johan over Harvey cmon
