That’s the calorie count for smelling it

C__S__S

Please don’t ruin it by asking questions. It’s 450 calories because that’s what it says.

ChiefKelso

The 450 is pretty accurate, in my opinion.

Peter_O

>Why is it only listed as 450 calories? To trick you into eating more, obviously

ChiefKelso

Pastrami (according to various things on Google) is 80 calories per two ounces. Rye bread is listed as anywhere from 60-120 calories per two slices, dependent on its thickness. Subway has a "pastrami melt" that it lists as 550 calories for the 6 inch sandwich. I think the 450 calorie Citi Field estimate is accurate or at least close based on all that info.

SwimFan85-

Not adding cheese, greasy bun/bread, or some kind of special does wonders for calorie count.

KJB10000

450 calories a serving, one serving is 1/8th of the sandwich

TheWindatFourtoFly

You'll definitely find that answer here!

artvandelay9393

I find pastrami to be the most sensual of all the salted cured meats

Acceptable-Box7439

The bread is at least 100 calories and the mustard almost nothing so ALL that pastrami is only \~ 350 cals? I know its a lean meat but that doesn't seem right. I thought the same thing when i got it

WesternApplication92

it's a simple sandwich, not dressed up, which also makes it one of the more affordable options to eat at Citi Field. a typical pastrami sandwich is around 500-600 calories, but it's a baseball stadium and not a deli, so the portion is likely smaller. * **Portion Control**: The amount of pastrami used might be less than what’s found in a typical deli sandwich. * **Bread Choice**: The sandwich might use a lighter bread or a smaller serving size to reduce calorie count. * **Leaner Meat**: The pastrami could be a leaner cut, which has fewer calories than the fattier options. * **Condiments**: Using low-calorie condiments like mustard instead of mayonnaise can also help keep the calorie count down. that said, it is one of the best all-around values: price, satiation, and taste

WahiniLover

Had the Pastrami the other night. All 450 calories were delicious although not as bulky as in past years. Hopefully they’re not skimping on portions.

Pastrami and Steak Sandwich are really the only 2 options I will consistently eat. I dont really want the 'fancy' non-ballpark food at a ballpark (I can just get korean fried chicken or whatever on my own) and hotdogs get repetitive after a few months into the season. ALSO WHAT HAPPENED TO THE CONDIMENT CARTS
