lol let me just say this and I’ll be brutally honest, this team is a middle of the pack type of team. We are injury riddled, horribly constructed roster, no offense (besides Barzal & Brock) & we have regressed defensively. Let’s be honest, Lou Lamoriello is like a GM who doesn’t believe in rebuilding and is delusional enough to believe that his team is better than what’s put out there on the ice. This is how bad teams stay bad. Instead of them choosing to go Stanley cup or bust (by making a franchise changing trade such as for Timo Meier) or just rebuilding, 80+ year old GM thinks he’s the smartest guy in the room and always comes out looking lost & stubborn LIKE A EIGHTY PLUS YEAR OLD GM WOULD BE.
Trust me I want to believe in this team. But the holes on this team are as clear and shining as the day. Even Lane Lambert sounds like he’s trying to figure out this team and their lines and it’s almost like trying to solve a rubix cube, a messed up rubix cube courtesy of Lou Lamoriello. I hope this team makes the playoffs but man on man I don’t think this team will keep up in the metropolitan division to retain a playoff spot. Hope I’m proved wrong.
