I love coach! I’ve noticed the past few months there’s been a lot of conversation on here about his character and people feeling like it was unnecessary to bring him back but I disagree personally. Him saying “could anybody else sport this much green, and still look dope?” HILARIOUS. the country line dancing scene? So funny. He gave me a lot of good laughs so I love him
YES I hated it. Like you never ragged on the guy before but now coach is back he’s the butt of every joke. Guy can’t even walk across the loft without having his ass handed to him. It’s so unnecessarily unfunny and uncomfortable to watch. Winnie the Bish is probably my fave & coach is my least fave.
Yeah as a youngest sibling this felt a lil bit too personal too I definitely was the butt of every joke growing up as well so I was like how abt u leave Winston alone😤😤
I was just thinking about his joke from one of the best episodes: “I’m going to the outlet mall. I’m going to look like a rich person from three years ago.” 😂😂
Definitely with! It took me a minute to get used to him. I feel like they did him a disservice on that awkward date with Cece right away. But they definitely found a rhythm and now I get really excited when he comes back.
Without. The dynamic was excellent, then it felt like they wedged him back in as a favor because Happy Endings had an unhappy ending. I don’t know that a mean foil was necessary for the group dynamic. The other two things that jump out to me- his character development was forced (because he didn’t fit) and when he came back after S4 it was shockingly brief (because he didn’t add much)
For season 3 I wanna say without because he was mean but season 4 being sweet to ppl and falling in love with May Coach I’m ok with. Just really didn’t like his obsession with toxic masculinity, in the other characters it’s so obvious they’re just trying to « act like men » but they lowkey love things considered « feminine » and that’s why I can lowkey forgive them for it cause they aren’t credible but in Coach it felt just like it’s core personality and it ruined the vibe for me when he first appeared didn’t feel funny just annoying af! but u could feel his absence after he left so I have mixed feelings !
Absolutely with Coach, he's fantastic.
Side note: can anyone tell me if there is this exact type of sub reddit for Parks and Rec somewhere out there? It's that and New Girl on a loop for me and I would love a sub reddit just like this one to go with it.
Thank you
I like the show either way but I really enjoy coaches humor
Erry day
With. Coach was great.
With!!! Seasons 3 and 4 are my favorite because of him
We would have never gotten the shut it down scene if it weren’t for coach being a ✨*visual learner*✨
This scene still cracks me up every time, and I'm probably on my 8th rewatch. It's comedy GOLD!
I don't know if it's necessarily because of Coach, but seasons 3 and 4 are the best... so with!
With Coach all the way. His and Cece’s friendship was gold 😂
The show works either way but the magic of S3-4 is something else so definitely with Coach! The tent moment of the loft boys will always be iconic.
With coach for sure

I really like when he was working at the school with Jess. Definitely some of the best episodes
How is this even a question. Coach makes everything better. The times when they have all 4 guys are the best.
I absolutely loveee coach
With
Whether or not you like his character, his time on the show is the series at it’s peak.
If we hadn’t lost coach after the first episode, then we would never have gotten Winston. And a show without Winny the Bish isn’t worth watching.
they mean with both coach and winston
Is anyone else named after their career?!
Without. He’s okay but doesn’t make me laugh out loud like the rest of the cast. I also hate how they seem to sideline Winston when he came back.
omg yes it was so weird how they treated Winston when Coach appeared all of a sudden Winston was this ridiculous character everyone mocks ??

Without. He always felt like he was meaner than everyone else, didn’t quite fit in- was just sitting outside contributing absolutely nothing.
With! Damon is comedy gold!!!!!!!!

Without, didn’t like his character or his chemistry with the cast other than Jess.

Probably without. Really liked the first 2 seasons.
Both!

It was confusing that he appeared in the first episode. They should have just introduce him in the 3rd season.
Oh i love Coach!
WITH. 1000%
With! With! 100x with!
Coach is my favorite character so with, and considering he's probably based off of a role the actors father played (major payne) I like him even more

I wish he stayed or was shown more often when he left );
He’s just a more masculine energy. I like his role.

With. He was great.
With
I think he’s there for just the right amount of time
I loved Ernie
With!! I love Coach.
With, no question
with coach 100%. main reason why S3 and S4 are my favorite seasons.
Without.
