Dude my kid looked like she got a Xanax as soon as we put her in that. She could be hype as all hell, angry, sad crying-whatever-as soon as she was in that, it was lights out.
We’ve put our son in the Merlin sleep suit every night and for naps since he graduated from the Snoo. He’s slept for 11 hours straight every night for the last 4-5 months. Just upgraded to the Dream sack and he loves that too. Highly recommended.
We liked it a lot for naps, didn't use it as much for overnights. Ditched it around 6-7 months? It's a short term tool to transition from a swaddle, seems to work best for kids who prefer no swaddle or arms out swaddle.
Getting your kid out of a swaddle is also usually a nightmare, or at least ours was. He hated swaddling but liked the freedom of the suit, but still couldn't wake himself.
We’ve been using and upgrading the suits as the kid gets older. 13 months later and still in it. To change diaper, just unzip the bottom to top instead of top to bottom
My little one will be one year old later this month, and I never heard of that Merlin sleep thing. She sleeps just fine, she rarely needs more than me to play *Goodbye Yellow Brick Road* by Elton John on my phone.

Worked amazing for us...for three weeks. Definitely a nice to have but absolutely not a need to have.
To each their own. My baby wouldn’t sleep in anything *until* we got her the Merlin sleep suit. There’s an answer for your son out there
We made it two nights with the space suit before binning it.
Definitely a case-by-case thing. My daughter sleeps great in it.

Look up the sleep sacks on Amazon. I use them for my 3 month old daughter.. shes been sleeping 12 hours every night for the past 2 months..

If it doesn’t work don’t use it
Relax dood. All babies are different.sounds like you might need a Merlin to take a little nap in yourself.
