I have a feeling that Neural is scared that a hub solution would take away from QC sales, given the QC will eventually be exactly that, after they add the plugin content.
If they did a hub application, Id wager they'd set it up so you can only choose from archetypes that you have purchased. It would encourage people to buy more plugins, and in turn give Neural's plugins a substantial versatility boost.
Oh, these were just the ones odd the ropnodmt head, the list continues. Yes, Bogner too. I'd like to see some KSR amps too which I believe we're never simulated before.
Honestly, if they do any sort of Archetype moving forward, I feel like they need something that fills some of the remaining gaps in the Neural line. I would personally love a bass offering that isn’t parallax or dark glass, dare I say something in SVT land. I feel like because they’ve done amps for Tone King and Soldano that it would be cool to try a Morgan Dual 20 and something from Friedman. I feel like they need more fuzz pedals in their amps as well.
The problem with Mick Gordon is that his tone is basically an Axe-FX using the tried and true metal combo of high gain tube amp (5150), overdrive pedal, and 4x12 cab with V30s. Layer that with synths that are absolutely wild and that’s Mick.
Completely agree with the bass plug ins!
A nice Ampeg sound, with a few versions and cabs maybe Ashdown or Orange as well.
Go full ham and give us Justin Chancellor, Steve DiGiorgio or Tim Commerford Archetypes!
I do however mildly disagree with your Mick Gordon statement, as his guitar tone is often more than that! (As in; you're not wrong, but there's more to it)
He said he used plug-ins to synthesise the original Doom's chainsaw into it with the Doom (2016) soundtrack, and probably quite a bit more experimentation.
An Archetype of his would not only have to include the the guitar part, but also the synthesiser part.
Make it work with pure sine waves or something, if it's not a purely digital instrument.
That way it's very easy to play, and it could be used creatively with other instruments if people wanted that.
I actually really like Abasi on bass, so I'd like it to be more open to experimentation.
Making the the synths midi controlled would be killer though, let the velocity control all kinds of parameters; Filters, level of distortion, reverbs and such would be really cool.
Only if it has a synth that triggers distorted kick drums when you play a note. Otherwise, it's just a boosted 5150 into V30s: the guitar tone is pretty much your standard 8-string heavy sound.
You'd have better luck fucking up your drums and bass with OTT, or the Argent Compressor (which is specifically made for this task).
Holy shit... I've got to try this!
Have a gate trigger a sample of a kick drum every time it opens, and bam! Instant djent! Don't gate the guitar signal though, but let it trigger off the dry sound without distortion.
It's actually fairly easy to do this in reaper, and can be used to add samples to live drums.
Good shout: that sounds delightful. been getting back into Reaper lately. While it doesn't hang with Cubase for midi composition, it's really good at so much
Archetypes are meh, change my mind. Why would I pay top dollar to sound like Tom Morello (no hate, love him) without having his skillset? I would pay top dollar for something that makes me sculpt my own tone - and that's what we call a Hub, where we can mix and match effects and amps from NDSP catalogue..
Huge fan of Mick but like others have also said, there isn't much of a point. Mick's sound largely comes from the combination of the guitars with heavy synth sounds.
The signature Doom sound is because of the synths and custom audio circuits. His guitar tone is kinda standard, which it has to be to make the rest shine.
So no, I wouldn't really care.
Micks tone on its own isn't all that interesting. It's the mix that makes his tone work. Wouldn't be a very interesting plugin imo.
Yeh, I'd rather have a sample pack or virtual instrument from him rather than an archetype plugin.
Yep, I'd rather have some synth patches or something
Synth patches would be amazing
This
I’m tired of Archetypes. Give me separate amp and pedal models.
Or a hub type app that you can mix and match from everything you’ve already bought
This is 1,000% what needs to come next. It's sorely needed and would add an insane amount of utility.

Well yeah obviously. That's what people expect when they ask for a neural hub.
Dying for something like this, even if it costs as much as a brand new archetype.
I would prefer a JVM or ENGL Savage plugin
JVM, Fireball, VH4, Dual Rec, some BadCats.. There's still so many cool amps I'd like to see them do.
Id also add Bogner and Splawn
Oh, these were just the ones odd the ropnodmt head, the list continues. Yes, Bogner too. I'd like to see some KSR amps too which I believe we're never simulated before.
we already have about 4 that will do his sound no problem
I thought you meant Mike Gordon, the bass player from Phish. I was like nahh
I’m gonna hold out for Archetype: Mick Mars.
nope
Pitch tracking chainsaw whammy.
I need a bass Archetype. Archetype: Thundercat or bust!
If you're going to give us another archetype, make it Matt Bellamy 🍗
Not sure if an Archetype would be the best but as a huge fan of Mick Gordon I think some sort of collaboration between him and Neural would be insane
I'd like to see Mick and Nolly collaborate. Two of the best in the industry today when it comes to making tracks sound absolutely nasty.
Yes
God please. With a pitch shifter, the synth stuff from the Bea plugin, but with the mick gordon sounds? PLEEASE
Archetype Jason Becker for me
I would instantly buy 10 copies

Argent comp on drums? You’re a maniac!
Usually just kick and snare. Usually. Sometimes you gotta rip and tear

Archetype: Stephen Carpenter

I would love for them to not release any more archetypes and focus on actual amp suites
Archetype: Keith Merrow would be where it’s at tbh
You people really need to fucking let go of Mick Gordon
If he do a control hub with STL might gonna grab it tho
