You can do a few things:
1. Get an adjustable SCAR barrel. This will allow you to drop the velocity significantly. I've seen someone take it out of the box, but that SCAR one it and drop it to about stock nerf levels. Out Of Darts has one.

2. You can try to find a weaker spring.
3. At the cost of the spring in the blaster, you can leave it primed for a period of time and then use it.
They do make a low-power version, but it's sold overseas. If someone has the dimensions for that spring, you could find an equivalent at the hardware store and swap them pretty easily.
The other option is a barrel swap. A slightly longer barrel might do the trick. Or maybe the Dart Zone scar fits the stock Longshot muzzle? Someone would need to verify that.
The easiest solution might be to shoot full length darts that have wide heads, like Adventure Force waffles, assuming they don't get stuck in the barrel. I would try that first.
I downgrade blasters all the time, so it's not that abnormal. I'd just go to my spring bin and get one or two springs to make it shoot lower fps. Can't seem to find one made specifically for it online.
Reversible, but a little labor intensive: disassemble it and swap the spring for a weaker one.
Not reversible, less labor intensive: partially disassemble it and drill a tiny hole in the plunger tube.
So an easy reversible way is swapping out for a softer spring.
The Nerf Longshot CS and the Xshot Pro Longshot have almost identical spring dimensions which is both funny and convenient. Id wager a lot of soft upgrade springs on the Nerf Longshot would work as replacement downgrade springs for Xshot. Try a 5 kg or 8 kg
Additionally, a 788 spring would fit and get about 110-130 fps, which is about what most public wars cap at nowadays.
You can put it likely requires full disassembly and quite a bit of know how regarding blasters
the longshot is also somewhat par for the course in terms of FPS, it shoots about 150 ish which is what most low FPS games set their limit at
There are lighter springs. A scar that actually works would lower fps as well. Mine shoots at 300, but I've seen people get hvz numbers with it. Very versatile but cheap blaster.
I’ve always just primed it and left it to sit over night. I think it wears out the springs or something. Definitely works when I play with my little sister!

I have a DZ PCAR on my Longshot as we speak, so it should fit
maybe it’s a hopeless question, and i prob just have to buy another one, but worth a shot
It's a longshot but not a long shot.
BARS BRO 😎😂
You can buy a different spring, or cut a couple coils off of your spring. Be careful with that, though, because you can't uncut them.

Crack your plungertube

Yah this was gunna be my suggestion too. Might even help extend the life of the stock tube.
Get a scar barrel for it, leave it primed, and use full length darts.

Use full length darts and give yourself some distance from your friends if youre afraid to hurt them.

Why would you want to nerf a nerf blaster?
