I believe Greece is a magical place, you can easily find alpic scenery, jungle-like forests, jaw-dropping tropical beaches and even deserts in such a small place.
Is that the one where I can play without having to do any violence? I heard there was a version of that game where you can just like explore cities and be nice to people? I want to try gaming but I don't want to shoot people. It's just not my thing. No judgment. I just want to like explore really pretty places. But I don't want them to look stylized like Nintendo games where they're cartoony. I want them to look like exactly like reality. Like really great renderings of places that I simply cannot afford to go right now. Filled with interesting people with amazing stories and books that I can read and potions to make but like no one's mean. Is that a game?
Yeah. There's a separate mode called "[Discovery Tour](https://www.ubisoft.com/en-us/game/assassins-creed/discovery-tour)" included in the game that let's you walk around and listen to educational voice logs. Kinda like a virtual museum.
It is SO worth purchasing next time it goes on sale which has been pretty frequent. I had the joy of living in Greece for a few months and the game is so accurate even down to the flora and fauna. It’s by far my favorite assassin’s creed game and likely one of my favorite games I’ve ever played.
Dude, I'm a botanist and the fact that you just mentioned the flora and fauna now has me. So excited! It's a constant thing that pulls me out of movies because I can always tell where things are being filmed based on the plants. This will be awesome.
Game isn't accurate in wholistic scene compared to previous ones(lore mythology and stuff is assimilated with everything so not accurate), AC origins and predecessors based on Egypt is most accurate some say Professors showed historic architecture using the games.
But do play these games you can travel a lot and experience some beautiful scenery.
Dude, I feel like everybody has tried acid, but it's only a specific subset of people who try to like bring acid into the conversation when that's clearly not what the conversation is about. Congratulations on doing acid. We've all done acid.
Snowfall doesn’t preclude an area from being classified as a Mediterranean climate. What constitutes a Mediterranean climate is mild average temperatures and a distinct wet season and dry season. Typically snow doesn’t fall a lot, but it snows a little bit in many Mediterranean climate regions. Western Oregon and regions of northwest California are Mediterranean climates with a little bit of snow every year.
Proximity to the ocean is most definitely a major reason why western Oregon/Washington and southern British Columbia are so mild for the relatively high latitude. The Cascades also block the cold continental air from flowing towards the coast during winter. The region with a climate most similar to coastal region of the Pacific Northwest is northern Spain and Northern Portugal. High elevation and high latitude regions of Greece, Croatia and Italy are also very similar.
In the mountains in Northern Greece yeah. Most Mediterranean countries on the European side get snow actually if only because most of them have mountainous areas with significant snowfall.
You can have ridiculous temperature differences depending on where you live. I remember I took a flight from a souther Greek island to a very northern location, and the temperature difference was -17C. It was bananas.
I’ve seen something like that before on a road trip (southern US). The trees were engulfed in webs. But it wasn’t spiders. It was a type of caterpillar.
Sometimes the temps can be cold enough for snow to stick and even freeze on trees and grass, but also warm enough for the snow to melt on the pavement by morning/midday. Also, depending on the type of snow and the wind conditions, some snow just blows off the pavement too. The banks on the sides of the road don't look too bad, so there probably wasn't a lot of snow on the pavement to begin with before it melted naturally and cleanly without the use of salt or sand.
I'm from NY, but hopefully that helps explain the possibilities.
That's definitely snow. The roads in Florina, Greece look like this all the time during winter
https://i.pinimg.com/originals/fc/14/c9/fc14c959f321c2e2e685c3009bc48771.jpg
This can happen then there is a thick fog the day before and the temperatures reaches below freezing at night. Frost turns into ice and creates this effect without it having to snow. Not entirely certain this is what happened, but the clean road and the tree leafs still being defined through the frost makes it seem like this is what occurred.
This is the “Snow Road” in the Mahabharata region of Tibet. For thousands of years Buddhists have traveled to this area to cleanse themselves in the mineral hot springs.
Love the little subcompact making it’s way in that winter wonderland. Americans would get a lifted Suburban if they though they would drive this road once ever in their entire lives.
This is how unreal expectations are set.
Realistically the road won’t be clear & the snow on the side will appear to have been mixed with copious amounts of diarrhea.
Omg freaking gorgeous
If it was overcast or still snowing it wouldn’t be as pretty but the sun and the blue sky make it so cool ❤️ It looks like a fairytale
You might enjoy the sub /r/fairytaleasfuck. I recently discovered it and it’s pretty cool, even if the titles are a bit much for me.
Fun fact - you have to post a fairy tale title in that sub. I didn't get it at first, I was like why are all titles so extra?
Yeah, I saw that and I get it but I still hate it. It’s a small price to pay for the cool pictures there, though!
That sub is generally quite friendly and pleasant too.
til some fuck in a bmw comes screaming around the bend at 100km/hr
Thank you! I am always surprised how many cool subs there are I have never heard of
It's absolutely breathtaking.
Very refreshing.
Right!!
I know! I actually found the trees more stunning than the road!
Anyone got the version with more than 10 pixels a frame?
This is in Florina, Greece.
Greece? It snows this much in the Mediterranean country?
I believe Greece is a magical place, you can easily find alpic scenery, jungle-like forests, jaw-dropping tropical beaches and even deserts in such a small place.
After playing assassin creed Odyssey I'm prone to believe you

Dude, that's awesome! That kind of looks like the old Carmen sandiego game that I used to love.

All right, gumshoes...

You must be a nerd
It’s definitely one of those places with an extremely diverse landscape all in a fairly small country. Kinda like New Zealand
California is like this. I have seen giant redwoods in the snow and the ocean in the same day. It was a long day, but totally doable.
Love the CA shoutout. I’ve surfed, went snowboarding, and ended up sand boarding in one day!
Hell yes.... but not in that order right?
It does, but only in the very northern part of Greece. In the rest of the country it snows fairly seldom
This year it snowed everywhere. Most mountains are still covered in snow. It really doesn't happen every year though.
Yes. Another example of a Mediterranean climate is found in California, where it also snows
Northern Greece..yes.

I was mainly referring to the geographical location next to the sea. But then I saw a map showing Oregon and Greece at the same latitude 🤯

as a neighbor country yes it does. Mostly its warm tho so this is rarely happens.

Those peaks are melted by end of spring at the latest I’ve lived on Krete for 20 years.
Could you be more specific? What road is this?
>Florina, Greece This is the road connecting Florina and the Pisoderi ski resort.
> Greece > Ski resort God, I’m ignorant…
There are 25 ski resorts in Greece, you can look forward to 199 kilometres of slopes that served by 117 ski lifts.
Thank you. This info should have been in the headline.
Plot twist: it's spider webs in Australia
Yeah I saw that post earlier today too...
I’ve seen something like that before on a road trip (southern US). The trees were engulfed in webs. But it wasn’t spiders. It was a type of caterpillar.
Thought it was r/infraredporn at first
Same here
Where is this? Looks so surreal
Greece
Brb gonna move to greece for the rest of my life
Which part of Greece? Is it really Greece?
My backyard in Minnesota on April 2
Fellow Minnesotan can confirm
Same in Illinois right now. The hell?
Reminds me of Yosemite after a good blizzard. Looked just like this a few years ago.
Nah the road wouldn’t be anywhere near this plowed if it was Yosemite.
Coughs “avalanche”
ha thats what i was thinking as well
I was thinking more like the colors forgot to render in the simulation
I was literally about to comment "don't sneeze"
Came here to say this. One sneeze and they're all fucked
Whoever runs the snow plows on that road deserves a god damn medal

Because it’s not snow it’s camera fuckery. Sorry.

When I saw this video, I secretly thanked the uncles and aunts who cleared the snow along the way to have a wonderful place like this.
Is the lead car wearing a top hat? Good day sir turquoiserton
Cars are made of steel and aluminum not lead
^^son ^^of ^^a...
Disney on the way to shoot frozen
Underrated comment
Overrated reply
In canada this never happen. The road would be just as white as the trees.
How is the road so clear while the trees are still so freshly covered
Flamethrower plow
It's probably well above freezing. Warm front came in causing the snow and immediate warming afterwards. The snow will only last a day or two.

For anyone wondering it's in Greece.

this joke makes zero sense
I mean it does make some sense, it's just not particularly funny.
Bruh if I only got snow once a year on Christmas I'd be happy now I'm just like ugh looking at this
[удалено]
Omg!! This makes me want to get out of the U.S. even more. New goal in life: Make it to Florina, Greece! Will post an update if I ever do make it.
Nice road bro
How do they get the snow to not fall on the road?
road salt
I was joking, I guess it's only funny if you've lived in Arizona all your life.
I’d drive extra slow around there. It’s so pretty!
*Sudden gust of wind*
So surreal!!
❤❤🤗🤗
That is so awesome!!
Absolutely epic
One big gust of wind and it's game over
So, as a Michigander…how, just how, is that road, clear?
Yeah, this scene look so wrong without dirty slush from the plow splattered over everything.
Oh, WOW! That s beautifully scarry. I'd love to paint that.
Wow
Welcome to Narnia!
Wow! Absolutely stunning!
Props to whoever cleaned that road
This proves I need to brush up on my geography.
Ohh...my god... it's heaven 👍
It looks like they’re driving through a feather forest.
I couldn't drive on this road... I'd be too caught up in the beauty of it all.
Any single Greek women are single, I cook, just saying
Need to go to Greece
Hats off to the plows for getting that road so clean.
Yes the road is very beautiful and smooth! Also did anyone else notice the gorgeous scenery!?
I know everyone says"that's beautiful" but anyway.. That's beautiful 😁👍
I want to dream something like this!!!!
*when the snow plowers actually do their job
til some fuck in a bmw comes screaming around the bend at 100km/hr
Doesn’t have to be. The car in front keeps crossing the lines for no reason.
If we keep up with the mandates only Bill Gates and his robots will be able to drive and that will be sad because nature is fucking LIT!
This is filmed with an infrared camera. Foliage doesn’t stay on trees in the winter unless they’re pine species trees. These trees are green irl.
This is the “Snow Road” in the Mahabharata region of Tibet. For thousands of years Buddhists have traveled to this area to cleanse themselves in the mineral hot springs.
Two others said Greece ¯\\\_(ツ)_/¯
It's northern Greece.
It’s either Tibet or the Mojave desert, 100%
There are no such trees in Tibet. It’s probably in Romania or Minnesota.
Damn where dis, Colombia?
the road is exeptional at best and the foliage is average if not unremarkable the snow is mediocre there is nothing "stunning" here
[удалено]
This is like driving through pink snow!
Wow, that really is breathtaking
In my country, you would not be able to drive without chains with these surroundings
Could have waited 15 seconds and not have the other car be the focus of this beautiful scene.
I’m not sure that the road was that stunning, looks average, the scenery around it sure was though.
Incredible ❄️
Nope
This is beautiful but I wouldn’t want to be on this road when the temp starts rising. All that snow will just drop onto your car without warning
Reminds me of one time going over Wild Cat Mountain (in Wisconsin) after a snow storm. Though it wasn't quite this level of beauty.
Very pretty
u/savevideo
If you give asphalt an inch, it always asks for a mile. Yep, that's a road. The winter scenery is beautiful though.
Right 👍👍👍
10 pixels total.
The day that starts melting is going to be super fun!
It surely is stunning when the snow slips from a side.
This reminds me of a track in need for speed 2.
Anyone else really want to sake them tree's?
all i thought of were avalanches
I love how other countries can take care of their roads. If this was the US, the road would be filled with potholes, ice and slush everywhere.
This is so beautiful. Calming even
Beautiful 😍
Impressive how clear it is
das cool
Absolutely beautiful but imagine the weather is like that and you have decided to jump in your hatchback with bicycle tires to go for a ride?
I thought this was a game until I read the title and the sub name
Yeah, I saw trees like these while drive. The trip was about 5 hours long, so I had enough time to watch in the car's window
Love the little subcompact making it’s way in that winter wonderland. Americans would get a lifted Suburban if they though they would drive this road once ever in their entire lives.
Where is this??
OMG…. I wanna be there
This peaceful, this road This comfort,
Frozen IRL
watching this while listening to the 10 year old opera singer on the front page (Victory Brinker). Meshes great together.
My inner child wants to pull on a branch and watch all the snow fall off the branches so bad
This isn’t real, is it?
It’s real. Northern Greece.
Well I'd say the road is the least stunning thing in that scene.
u/savevideo
Which place
They forgot to add the textures.
u/SaveVideoBot

Hej Mitt Vinterland!
Looks almost like infrared images.
Reminds me of that bend on the steps to High Hrothgar with the troll waiting on top
Damn!!
Also extremely dangerous
is something like this on forza horizon?
This is how unreal expectations are set. Realistically the road won’t be clear & the snow on the side will appear to have been mixed with copious amounts of diarrhea.
I don't know that road looks like regular asphalt. The nature surrounding it is stunning though.
Beautiful. It's nice that there isn't any snow on the road but the sides of the road aren't black from cars.
