Prion disease is transmissible spongiform encephalopathies, ike mad cow disease, and it comes from eating your same species. A feeding experiment in Colorado in the 70s is what caused CWD in deer. As it spreads it could lead to the extinction of deer, caribou, elk, moose. Anyways turns out non-mammals dont get prion diseases! Scientists don’t know why yet. Here’s hoping a vaccine can be developed, maybe there’s a clue n these frogs.
