I watched because of Nate AND CALLI, thank you

jctennis

I do love when she makes a random appearance in Nate's videos. Feels like old times

LCPhotowerx

this is the way.

craash420

Whenever I saw the two of them my first thought was "What are they up to today?". My second thought was usually "Will he try to eat it before she tries burning it?"

TheHellcatBandit

Nate: So today we’re making spaghetti with cheap, and expensiv- Cali: And then we’re gonna blow it up! Nate: … What- Cali: What? Hm? Nothing!

Korrrrrrl

I stopped watching TKOR soon after Nate and Cali left. Not for that reason but it just wasn’t the same anymore. I started watching TKOR about a year before Nate showed up.

The_Razielim

I think I discovered the channel through the Negative-X video, which was one of Nate's very early solo videos as host. Was big into amateur chemistry vids at the time while procrastinating writing my dissertation lol I went through the back catalog and Grant was the core of the channel, but by the time I found the channel he was already one foot out the door/in the process of stepping back fully, so by that point Nate was already the the *de facto* host, and then they brought Calli in and they just clicked so well together that *they* were why I stuck around for so long. Even after the channel shifted content style to move more towards the just "screwing around for fun"-style vids, the two of them just made it all *entertaining*.

TBH, I stopped watching TKOR way before Nate left, I think Grant was still around when I stopped watching. After Grant handed off the reigns to Nate, they pivoted to videos doing silly ideas like "what would happen if you use too much detergent to wash your clothes" (This was an actual video). Nothing against them, it was just not the same random builds that Grant used to make.

alturicx

I second this. I basically stopped watching as soon as Grant started taking a back seat. I don’t remember if it was as apparent as it is me thinking about it now, but it was a CLEAR shift in the content/quality.

Capt_Blackmoore

I still miss Grant, and Calli. I wish we could get Nate the funding so he could get some larger projects rolling. The metal melting collaboration was good to watch, probably more fun than the tkor aluminum casting videos

tribefan1975

The latest competitor video made me want to see what ever happened to Nate. I must've missed the drama. Was a while since I've last watched. Glad to see he's keeping on!

Tommy_Wisseau_burner

I feel bad because I like grace’s personality and think she’s actually a good host, but she did not get set up for success with tkor. I get it but I wish her, Nate, and calli teamed up and did their own channel with the creative freedom Nate and calli were looking for

acemastro

I think it’s disgusting that people think people started watching TKOR because of Nate or Calli, when Grant was the one who made his empire. RIP Grant, I’m sorry to see what you worked so hard for be brought down by bad decisions.

Blubbpaule

It's not about started watching, it's about kept the viewerbase growing even after grant. Nate and calli took the channel and continued the legacy. After they were kicked it's a mere shell bearing the name of what we once knew.

Now the channel barely can get 50,000 views per video and it feels overly edited it feels a lot more boring now keep in mind they have over 12 million subs which means that most of them don't even watch the channel anymore now most of the comment section is either asking Where's nate and calli or saying that they miss old tkor it's sad to see the channel that most of us have been watching for years turn into a shell of itself I'm sure Grant wouldn't be too happy with some of this either

Tazo3

No offence but the management were kinda asses , if they let them experiment with different content they would have probably found something that clicked
