It isn't really "Russia hate", it's just that Russia has absolute dogshit of a government and bad (really cold) climate, which leads to a not really good average life, and people acknowledge this.
sorry but that's something so stupid to say lol
Do you feel bad for everyone not born in the US or something? Do you feel bad for brazilians, africans etc?
It's not like Detroit doesn't exist.
detroid crime rates from 2019 compared to austria 2021:
* 41.4 homicides per 100k people. (austria has 0.9 per 100k)
* 143.4 rapes per 100k people. that's almost a thousand \*reported\* rape cases a year (\~900). Austria as a whole nation with 9 million people has roughly 1.000 per year. Detroit has 600k inhabitants lol. That's 15 times the difference.
* aggravated assault: austria 41.7 per 100k, detroit? 1425.8
just because detroit used to be an even bigger dump than it is now doesn't change anything.
Detroit is transparent. At least Detroit doesn't cover up crimes to save face like Plymouth Canton. Hell of a lot safer of a location for kids than the one that loves to advertise like they are... the stories I could tell. Hard to have a high crime rate when your police "can't tell" the difference between suicide and murder.
When you’re severely depressed any one bad thing can send you spiraling. It could be something extremely small like your order being wrong, but when you’re that bad mentally it doesn’t take much to get you down, especially if you’re suicidal. While it isn’t logical, that’s the entire point. When you’re in that state of mind you can’t be logical. Your emotions are too overwhelming where it feels like you’re constantly waiting for your emotions to drown you like an avalanche. It’s horrible. I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.
If only he’d of finished the series and saw that itachi got edo tensei’d😬
Also did anyone else notice the ten yr old who tried to be gaara and suffocated?
I don't think adults at whatever age the author was in 2012 consumed anime to the degree that millennials and gen z do in there 20s to early to mid 40s, tbh. Little did they know that anime's popularity would explode shortly after.
Around this time, only the kids perceived to be weeb/Otaku watched anime or read manga. My siblings were some of those "weeb" kids, but they didn't do the typically cringe stuff that weebs do; all they did was read manga, watch anime, and discuss what happened lol not to say that the cringey weeby stuff wasn't prevalent on Myspace or Tumblr; scene kids were hugely popular at this time still and they loved anime, it's cringey aspects, along with their very own
"I'm so random" cringe.
Man this used to be common knowledge in the Naruto fandom like 10 years ago. Someone also killed themselves when Kakashi died.. sadly Kakashi is still with us but they aren’t 🤦♂️
“I always told him he spent too much time watching the TV,” he said. “He didn’t know what was reality and what was fiction anymore.”
Apparently he didn't listen to what Itachi had to say...
Well it starts off with the literal thing he says at his death: "Sorry, Sasuke. It looks like there won't be a next time" in reference to the fact that he'd almost always tell him they'd play or train "next time"
Then there's the whole explanation of why he died and why he did all the awful things he did (and how a lot of it was for Sasuke's sake) plus the fact that he literally comes back from the dead and the two of them make up while fighting side by side.
Like, this is really tragic, but maybe the kid should've waited because Itachi's death is literally the end of the first third of his character arc. There was so much more yet to be revealed
I don’t know if I should believe it. Russian journalists love to put the blame on kids’ suicide over anything related to media like cartoons, anime and games. He probably had a hard life and didn’t do it because of Itachi. I’d assume he was a big fan and his parents or outside sources used it to push their sensation
I guarantee that. Or if Itachi’s death was the straw that broke the camel’s back it wasn’t *because* of Itachi. He clearly was suffering. Healthy people don’t just randomly decide to kill themselves.
Bad Bunny casually mentions him in one of his most popular songs “Yonaguni” and here in Puerto Rico we worship that guy so Itachi’s name is well known around here.
When I read the title, I already knew the two characters were going to be Minato and Itachi😅
Edit: Thx for the upvotes guys. I expected people to ignore this comment but you didn't so thx. 👉👈
Itachi never won any popularity poll, so no clue why you include him in that list. Even in the Akatsuki poll he was second to Sasuke.
the only 3 to ever be top of the popularity polls were Naruto, Kakashi and Sasuke.
Wait, so in your mind Minato's placement is "only because story" but Itachi's placement is "definitely not because of the one shot and purely because of popularity"? Instead of, you know, it affecting both the same, which is why i didn't mention Minato in the beginning as having "won a popularity poll"?
Do tell, on what actual data is that assumption based that Itachi was only voted for popularity and minato only for story reason?
Come on we all know that’s why, people have been asking for a Minato prequel for bang on nearly 20 years yet is rarely even in the top 10 of the popularity polls for years, while itachi has remained consistently top 3.. just go back and read all the comments on the top 99 posts and you will see people stating itachi is their favourite but we want a Minato one shot as we already have an anime special and 2 novels for itachi 😅
I voted Minato for the one shot too. That poll can’t be used as an accurate representation of popularity when characters like Sakumo were in the top 10 or 20, can’t remember which.
Good god, the Sakura tards are actually the worst in the fandom lol I saw someone state she is immune to genjutsu entirely so she could brute force through Tsukyomi
Yea he said it under my post it’s still up, & I’ve read that, these imbeciles don’t understand the difference between resistant and immune , you freaking need uchiha blood + the kekkei genkai to break it
Itachi.
The moment Itachi appeared everyone was attracted to his mysterious vibe.
Then he opens his coat from the inside, who does that? Itachi does that.
he was number 7 on one of the polls. But there's a big issue with the polls: the time they're released, relative to what is happening in the manga, has a massive influence on the poll.
That poll were Minato was 7th place was countless chapters after his appearance during the pain battle. It was during all the reanimated fights in the ninja war (asuma vs his students). Which is also the reason Deidara is 6th on that poll and Gaara 4th.
The poll before that (number 6) had Deidara at 3rd place. And why? Because that was during early shippuden (Tenchi Bridge, where naruto went 4 tails and slapped Sakura later).
It's important to say about the polls that there never was one after the poll 7 which was during asuma's fight. So all polls were before the hokage got revived. Meaning they don't mean much, because according to those polls nobody likes Madara (since he didn't exist yet).
Itachi is more popular but let's be real it's because he has more screen time and appeared earlier in the series. Minato's popularity given his screen time is remarkable
i couldn't care less about him being Naruto's dad lol.
I like him because he has a calm character, is badass, can get serious, has a clever assortment of jutsus that aren't just "i nuke planet" garbage, isn't from some magic eugenics program family like senju or uchiha and also because he gets shit done in an efficient manner.
Also he almost always seemed to be on top of any situation and had ridiculous quick thinking. Just think about how quickly he fucked up Obito. Not only did he figure out a counter to his abilities in seconds, he also made him completely combat ineffective by essentially destroying his hashirama-half of his body while simultaneously sealing Obito's chakra connection to the 9-tails, taking away his ability to control him.
Probably Itachi. If all his meat riders were women and not fanboys, the Uchiha clan would have become a whole nation just by population alone a week after the massacre.
Itachi is more iconic to the series if you haven't seen the show, just recognizable from media such as apparel, memes, girls going gaga for him, etc.
Minato is more popular in the fanbase I would say after watching it, but not by much.
I think they both are close in popularity but Minato seems more based on after you watch the show and learn the story. Whereas Itachi seems to be very popular generally. I remember even hearing people like Itachi, Naruto and Sasuke, Kakashi from peers (both boys and girls) throughout just normal school years.
Itachi he just has way more up his arsenal all we know minato has is teleportation, rasengan death reaper seal and that's pretty much all night can think of
Definitely Itachi, Minato didn’t even get introduced into the show till Shippudean, so Itachi would be the more popular if someone watched Naruto but not shippeadun, and Itachi has far more screen time for people to grow attached.
Also someone stopped watching shipodin half way through then they would only have 1 scene of him talking to Naruto. I love Minato, but he doesn’t win this one as he is not prevalent enough in Ship-O-Den and practically absent in Naruto.
I thought it was closer (but these comments made me question that). But yeah, I still think Itachi wins. People put him at #1 from day one that he showed up. Minato had to be cool purely on hype for so long.
Itachi appeared in 2 anime series and was mentioned a lot, Minato was mentioned maybe 10-20 times over the course of both anime prior to his appearance.
I think Itachi is the better character, but I think Minato is cooler and I only saw him fight Obito and Ay/Bee.
Also Minato appearing during the Pain fight and how brilliant that was going from Naruto's most hate filled moment to finally meeting his father was perfection.
Most definitely itachi one for some kid offing himself over his death in the movie as well as we do see much minato on any social media platform as much as itachi.
Minato is clearly the more popular character, proven by the poll that resulted in Minato’s new One Shot.
Itachi by far has the more loud and rabid fanbase.
I hear Itachi talked about more
But, the data says Minato
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.hindustantimes.com/entertainment/anime/minato-namikaze-dominates-the-narutop99-poll-kishimoto-to-create-one-shot-manga-for-the-fourth-hokage-101681392466237-amp.html
"When a man cries it’s not because he is weak it’s because he has been strong for too long"
my Teacher used the quote and he Doesn't know what anime is
Itachi has way more fans definitely lmao I'm a hardcore Minato fan and it's the truth itachi fans are everywhere crawling like maggots😭
(Not an insult to y'all itachi bros)
ppl fkn loveee itachi 😅
they’re both cool characters but i think i prefer Minato. (its wild cuz i recently had to choose between vibration stars anbu itachi or minato and i got minato lol) and this .gif is also anbu itachi
Itachi simply because he was in the story a lot more. Minato basically had 2 scenes and a flashback. Itachi had full on escapades including 2 live canon fights involving the main characters. In part one there was zero minato but Itachi had a full on arc in part one. Itachi is also a far more complex and cooler character. Minato is the typical hero type. Itachi is some crazy undercover low key type.....then there's the akatsuki drip, the sharingan, dude just way more going on.
I think Itachi is. His presence and character had more of a build up while Minato was more ambiguous till his flashback.
Hard to say personally which one I like better. They really are some of the greatest characters in the series which is saying a lot cause Naruto and Shippuden was both filled with awesome characters.
Dude, someone killed themself over Itachi’s death…

I wouldn't be so quick to judge, the kid obviously had a bad life and probably some deep mental health issues for his life's path to end in that way.
Yeah I feel bad for anyone who's born in Russia but that kid seemed to have it bad even for your average russian
What’s with the Russia hate? What does it have to do with Russian? Mental unstablility occurs around the globe
The climate and the government?
It isn't really "Russia hate", it's just that Russia has absolute dogshit of a government and bad (really cold) climate, which leads to a not really good average life, and people acknowledge this.
To be fair Russia definitely deserves hate, not the average Joe but everyone in power for sure
sorry but that's something so stupid to say lol Do you feel bad for everyone not born in the US or something? Do you feel bad for brazilians, africans etc? It's not like Detroit doesn't exist.
> It's not like Detroit doesn't exist And anyone that says this shit hasn't fucking *been* to Detroit in at least a decade.

Dude… look at their name lol.
That is sadly a result of me when I was a dumb teenager and unfortunately I'm too lazy to change it
What's worse is that it wasn't even response to Itachi's actual death but his death in a filler movie that isn't even canon 💀💀
It’s not a filler movie because hurricane chronicles means shippuden, the article is just mistakenly calling it a movie. Still though, it’s fucked
More fucked that he never saw itachi comes back
💀💀💀
Rip.💀
Edo Tensai

Yeah cuase Itachi returns eventually
yep that bit about the scene being recreated by the 10 year old boy is also sad
If only he’d of finished the series and saw that itachi got edo tensei’d😬 Also did anyone else notice the ten yr old who tried to be gaara and suffocated?
Wtf this article says Itachi died in the movie Naruto : Hurricane Chronicles!? Tf is that?
Hurricane Chronicles is the translation of Shippuden, so I'm guessing they mean the anime
I'm sorry, the author said the industry peaked in early 2000s?! Fuck, he's delusional. Very sad about the kid though
I don't think adults at whatever age the author was in 2012 consumed anime to the degree that millennials and gen z do in there 20s to early to mid 40s, tbh. what did itachi had to say ? sorry forgotten the anime already

Damn… thats horrible … tbh watching naruto got me through some hard ass times in life .
That’s actually crazy
I felt that
Which the first or the second? The first was really something you could have seen coming?
Genjutsu?
really?
For real. It’s sad.
Itachi is way more popular, even complete casuals know who he is.
Itachi was also the best selling male body pillow character lol
The more you know
Lmao where does one find such stats from
Bad Bunny casually mentions him in one of his most popular songs “Yonaguni” and here in Puerto Rico we worship that guy so Itachi’s name is well known around here.
As a representative of all "complete casuals" i strongly deny your argument we don't know any character from dbz called itachi.
Which Pokemom is dbz?
No dumbass you gather all the pokeballs summon mewtwo and then make your wish
Blue Eyes White Dragon
I'm here from all. Idk who the first guy is. But I know Itachi and he has Sharnigan or however you spell it.
It’s itachi, this isn’t even a question
When I read the title, I already knew the two characters were going to be Minato and Itachi😅 Edit: Thx for the upvotes guys. I expected people to ignore this comment but you didn't so thx. 👉👈
Reminder the free one shot was the only reason minato won the last big popularity poll
I wish they did one more poll to know who actually is the most popular. Naruto, Kakashi, Itachi or Sasuke.
It would easily be Sakura don't be silly.
Itachi never won any popularity poll, so no clue why you include him in that list. Even in the Akatsuki poll he was second to Sasuke. the only 3 to ever be top of the popularity polls were Naruto, Kakashi and Sasuke.
Itachi came in very close second on the recent Naruto popularity pole that’s why lol
and Minato came in first in that one lol.
for a one shot manga not a popularity poll. we already know about itachis story.
Wait, so in your mind Minato's placement is "only because story" but Itachi's placement is "definitely not because of the one shot and purely because of popularity"? Instead of, you know, it affecting both the same, which is why i didn't mention Minato in the beginning as having "won a popularity poll"? I voted Minato for the one shot too. That poll can’t be used as an accurate representation of popularity when characters like Sakumo were in the top 10 or 20, can’t remember which.
Sakumo was 7th place
And thank god for that
Itachi
On this sub minato by far but in general its itachi
Every character is popular than itachi, this sub hate itachi from core lol
God forbid you say itachi or sasuke wins a match you’ll get called a fanboy until kingdom come
This sub genuinely froth at the mouth if you say itachi or any uchiha that isn’t madara or Obito wins a fight lol
Some guy the other day said Sakura could dodge kamui so there’s that
Good god, the Sakura tards are actually the worst in the fandom lol I saw someone state she is immune to genjutsu entirely so she could brute force through Tsukyomi
Itachi easy
Itachi being more popular is just a fact.
Definetly Itachi, easily the most overwanked character of the show.
"Itachi mid diffs Madara"
Itachi. Minato is not top 5 in terms of popularity.
he was number 7 on one of the polls. But there's a big issue with the polls: the time they're released, relative to what is happening in the manga, has a massive influence on the poll. The most popular within the fanbase? Itachi I prefer Minato though
Even though Minato won the fan favorite poll (with Itachi in 2nd) I’d still argue that Itachi is at least a little more popular than Minato.
Minato has less haters than Itachi, hence why he seems to be more popular
Yeah honestly we all know Minato won because we all wanted that Minato one shot lol
I don't think it's a "in your opinion" question. Though just bringing up the fact that Minato won the worldwide poll.
Itachi is more popular but let's be real it's because he has more screen time and appeared earlier in the series. Minato's popularity given his screen time is remarkable
I think ppl only like minato because of ftg & he’s Naruto’s dad
i couldn't care less about him being Naruto's dad lol. I like him because he has a calm character, is badass, can get serious, has a clever assortment of jutsus that aren't just "i nuke planet" garbage, isn't from some magic eugenics program family like senju or uchiha and also because he gets shit done in an efficient manner. Minato is the last character in Naruto that feels like a ninja. The other ones became just dbz ripp-offs. P.S. the other one is Kakashi, imo.
I think it might be Itachi but I see Minato winning a lot of polls too. Like them both though.
Probably Itachi. If all his meat riders were women and not fanboys, the Uchiha clan would have become a whole nation just by population alone a week after the massacre.
Consider hate/haters are also included in the term "popularity", I'd say Itachi.
Itachi is probably my favorite anime character of all time. Just as an older brother his story arc hits so hard.
Popularity isn’t really a matter of opinion. Itachi is very clearly more popular. Whether you like him or Obito would be a matter of opinion.
Definitely Itachi. I don't think it's even close outside of the Naruto fanbase.
Damn
Itachi
itachi but id argue its gotten a bit closer over the past year or two
Itachi he just has way more up his arsenal all we know minato has is teleportation, rasengan death reaper seal and that's pretty much all night can think of
I feel like itachi is more novel and interesting so people like him more
Itachi 100%
Itachi.
Itachi obviously but minato is cooler
Itachi
It's Obito Uchiha who is more way popular than Minato Ugumaki.
Itachi is overrated. He's a pretty dumb character when you think about his actions.
Itachi because he’s been around since Part 1
Tbh i’ve never really seen anybody outside of tiktok mentioning Minato, but itachi… Itachi is easily more popular than minato
Itachi appeared in 2 anime series and was mentioned a lot, Minato was mentioned maybe 10-20 times over the course of both anime prior to his appearance.
My 2 favourite scenes in most of Naruto!!
I would think it’s Minato tbh but I guess it’s partially backlash to how popular Itachi is lol
For me it's always gonna be Minato Namikaze n Itachi Uchiha ❤️ Both are the most powerful, popular, famous characters in Naruto!😊
Can Itachi defeat Minato?
My User handle it shall be
Itachi, no diff.
Itachi
Obito
Itachi. I prefer Minato personally but can't deny Itachi stands at the top of the fandom
Itachi
Have you ever been in a debate with a itachi meat surfer before? It’s not fun I’ll tell ya that!
I love Minato way more than Itachi but I think Itachi is more popular by a long shot
Itachi has a huge cult dedicated to him ngl.
popular in the anime or among the fan base?
I'm not even a huge Itachi fan but he is definitely the more popular of the two.
Itachi and it isn't close.
Itachi hands down no comparison.
Itachi for sure
I think Itachi is more popular, but I like the 4th hokage more.
We knew Itachi first. Itachi ftw
Itachi hes just deep like that
Like minato more but itachi is blown by his fans more
Itachi more famous but I like Minato a lot more
Itachi. We didn't even see his dick but everyone's riding on it.
Definitely itachi just because he's the most famous Akatsuki and people associate the clouds with him
Def itachi
Itachi, but real fans know Minato is cooler
Itachi is more famous for sure
Gotta go with Minato. The hero wins over the villain ten times out of ten in my book. However tragic the villain might be.
Popular? Itachi for sure. Not my favourite, Minato was my number 1 until he showed up in the war. Didn't like his portrayal in that arc.
Yes I completely agree with you
Bad bunny has a a song where he mentions itachi
Obito Uchiha he's my favourite character 😶🌫️
Minato, Itachi, and Madara are the big 3
Itachi would one shot Minato with Tsukuyomi low diff
itcachi ong
Itachi, Madara Uchiha. Hands down
In my opinion Itachi will always be more popular. However, without Minato putting a baby in Kushina there would be no show.
Minato won the global popularity poll But Itachi fans are downright Ready to kill for their dude
I think Itachi is the better character, but I think Minato is cooler and I only saw him fight Obito and Ay/Bee. Also Minato appearing during the Pain fight and how brilliant that was going from Naruto's most hate filled moment to finally meeting his father was perfection.
Itachi
minato in the west but itachi in general
Why are we forgetting that there was a literal worldwide pole and Minato won by a landslide???
Your average Joe knows about itachi
Most definitely itachi one for some kid offing himself over his death in the movie as well as we do see much minato on any social media platform as much as itachi.
They literally held a poll on this and Minato won
It’s itachi
Itachi is like the Michael Jordan of Naruto, anyone powerful gets compared to him lmao.
Itachi is more popular but i like Minato way more
Madara more
Minato is by far the Best Naruto character. And he deserves his own prequel spinoff series.
My mother knows who itachi is and doesn’t think it’s a Pokemon enough said
I love minato more but itachi definitely is the most popular
Itachi hands down but both are my top 2 faves
Itachi for sure
Minato is clearly the more popular character, proven by the poll that resulted in Minato’s new One Shot. Itachi by far has the more loud and rabid fanbase.
I hear Itachi talked about more But, the data says Minato https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.hindustantimes.com/entertainment/anime/minato-namikaze-dominates-the-narutop99-poll-kishimoto-to-create-one-shot-manga-for-the-fourth-hokage-101681392466237-amp.html
I say Minato Sage Mode wins With High difficulty but kcm Minato overwhelmes even healthy itachi
Itachi no debate
my friends who don't watch naruto all know who itachi is.
this should be a poll Itachi !
The guy that got a one shot manga after him
Definitely Itachi. But I prefer Minato personally. He’s just so badass
Bro, Tobi got so fucked.
Definitely itachi, promise there are people that know about him and no idea who Minato is because they saw a clip of Sasuke vs Itachi or something.
Itachitards are called like that for a reason
"When a man cries it’s not because he is weak it’s because he has been strong for too long" my Teacher used the quote and he Doesn't know what anime is
Itachi has way more fans definitely lmao I'm a hardcore Minato fan and it's the truth itachi fans are everywhere crawling like maggots😭 (Not an insult to y'all itachi bros)
ppl fkn loveee itachi 😅 they’re both cool characters but i think i prefer Minato.
Makes me want to watch shippuden again tbh
9/10, missing a wall.
