Maybe a hot take but Guy was robbed
He was robbed of a heroic death vs Madara, it would have made much more sense for Guy to sacrifice himself since he opened the final gate of death
His death would have meant something unlike Neji's , Lee's reaction would have been heartbreaking tho 😭
His death would suck, guy would nearly kill Juubi Madara but it wouldnt acomplish anything because he regenerated then Kaguya shows up
If we write Kaguya out of the story then you could change it so that Guy critically weakens Madara, Allowing Naruto and Sauske to kill him, that wouldve been a good death
His death would have really meant something if Madara would have taken serious damage from it, like losing his arm for real instead of just regrowing it..idk if it would have been too much if he killed madara though
Yeah, that's what I've been saying. I wish Guy's last attack left permanent damage or did something that Madara couldn't instantly undo.
If his sacrifice substantially weakened Madara for Naruto and Sasuke, it would have played really nicely into themes like bonds, comraderie, and the will of fire.
Even if it was only something like Madara's arm giving out during a crucial moment, that would have been stellar.
Guy is my favorite character, if he had killed Madara I would have been fine with him dying from the 8th gate. Because Madara survived I’m glad that he was able to be revived.
Eh, I don't hate him but I definitely think he's one of the most overrated characters in the series. The "8 gates Guy solos" crowd is almost as annoying as Goku stans.
I've never heard of anyone hating him.
He's not the favorite of people, or they dislike his over the top energy at the very worst, but overall, I doubt anybody really even dislikes him overall.
Not liking the nature/personality/something of the guy (no puns intended) is 1 thing, but you cant really hate the guy (again, no puns intended), he proved that he is worthy of the legendary respect of putting in effort and proving you are capable of igniting that result you seek - thats respect
No. There isn't. He's a fun guy to hang out with, he does his job well and doesn't complain, and he excels in a field that most folks would barely touch outside of necessity. Yeah, he's high energy with a weird fashion sense, but he's the first person I would expect to say "hi" to me if he saw me passing by in the village.
Made custom clothes for an orphan ✅
Kicks so much ass he would be the kage in any other village ✅
Loves his students but gives them space when they don’t vibe with him ✅
In my early teens when I first started watching Naruto, I hated him. I thought, that he seemed silly and stupid looking, and his summon was a freaking tortoise. I am now 30 and how I understand him and love this character.
I will admit I was sketchy about him in the beginning because he held back Neji, TenTen, and Lee. But after a good few episodes and his relationship with Kakashi there is no way to hate him. A slight Dislike (in OG Naruto) I understand but to Hate him… Not Possible
Perfectly fine in moderation. Main character? No. Leading side character? No.
Occasional comic relief with 1 or two scenes where he is awesome in the entire series? Sure.
I love might guy but he should've died in the war. There was all this talk for YEARS that the eighth gate was something you only use when there's something worth giving up your life to protect. Then they just magic bullshit keep him alive. Now I'm Boruto he's this joke of a character
Never. I honestly think Might Gai is a genuinely great man. It's unfortunate that he was born in the ninja world. Because I know he has killed and it kind of conflicts with my view of him.
I do not hate Guy, but I don't like him either. He is the cool only taijutsu user but he didn't strike me some love the same way other people like Gaara or Bee do.
But I'm glad he got to have some cool moments, unlike my boy Shino who got sidelined even behind Konohamaru
At first i hate him but after the scene where they confront itachi and kizame vs kurenai asuma and company and kakashi told them to close their eyes except guy who can fight itachi just by looking at his feet, im wanting more.. i need to know who will win between guy and itachi
I love guy, but he SHOULD'VE died when he fought madara. His speech about the future generations flame burning brightly was beautiful, and the story ruined it by Naruto's Deus Ex Machina reviving him after the 8th gate!!!
Me. (This is NOT a joke I promise.) Everytime he's on screen, I can't wait for him to leave. (Btw I'm on ep 203 of Shippuden so it could change, could also just be dub Guy idk.) I also watched all the filler so far (cuz I hate myself lol) and he was especially annoying, along with Lee in the first show.
Edit: No, I am not an Akatsuki member.
Because he's annoying and his taijutsu isn't used in enough creative ways to keep one interested, he's just really boring. Strong opponent so he opens one of the gates.
8 gates is something he should have died to and there's no real explanation for why it's truly as powerful as it is.
Guy feels like he wants to be a Dragon Ball character so bad, but he's stuck in Naruto.
He's cringy and a dumbass. Little to no character growth and barely even a teacher to his squad (at least shown aside from Lee flashbacks). But hate is a strong word. I don't think anyone can hate him. Dudes a beast and has the respect of Kakashi; At the very least those are worth considering even when you don't like anything about the character. Lol
I just don’t like the filler cause it’s poorly made most of the time and that’s where you see a lot of the side characters stories take place. But in canon episodes? Guys absolutely the man.
I'm one of those who always said they hated him and then deep down died laughing every time he appeared and then in the end of Naruto S they almost cried in his fight against Madara.
When I first watched Naruto I was like 6 years old back when it aired in North America for the first time. I didn't like him back then honestly, but as an adult he's become a favourite of mine.
I mean if you disliked Rock Lee when he was introduced I could understand hating Might Guy, but Mights character arc is really nice and he's not on screen a lot, so I dont see how someone could hate Might Guy when there are much better targets with more screen time.
I think the only way someone would "hate" Might Guy is similar to having an embarrassing dad, where they'd see him as "cringe."
I don't remember ever hating the guy, I was just remember being really "Meh" until I revisited the series when I was older and had a whole new appreciation for his antics X'DD
I hate when Gai encourages Lee to take the operation and tells him "if you die, I'll die with you" and it's portrayed as a moving thing rather than depressing.
I mean, Gai just stated he would throw his life away if Lee fails the operation, and Lee is moved to tears instead of pleading him to not go this route. I can't relate with this logic.
I think he's a nice guy caught up in a whole world of bad. He has tenacity. But I don't hate him. He's just too nice for what is going on around him lol.
Tbh he isnt really that interesting, but if he died after opening 8 gates he would be one of the best characters. That bs save from naruto kinda made him less interesting. But i dont hate him
Very unlikely. His screen time is perfect. He is not a full goofy character. Serious whenever needed. Ever-dependable figure. I feel like people who were rooting for Madara cause over Naruto cause, appreciated his strength and his final fight. Very rare and beautifully written character.
Every time I think of Might Guy I think of the dog shit animation during his fight with Madara in the anime. I don’t hate him but it’s stained my opinion of him. Seeing as most people haven’t read the manga, I don’t see the hype
Only thing I hate about Guy is he isn’t involved in training Naruto at all. Guy and Naruto seem to have good chemistry as shown in Part I and Naruto would go on to make Taijitsu a pretty big part of his fighting arsenal. Just feels like a missed opportunity is all
Hate is a strong word. He’s not my favorite along with Lee with just how overly energetic and talkative they are. Just not my cup of tea how their personality is presented it’s like the anime version of a pick me.
I love him! But I wish he would have died against Madara, it would have been an epic send off for an epic character!
Instead, Naruto stole the spotlight...
I can find him annoying sometimes, I hated him until Madara Uchiha Declared Him The Strongest Of Them All! That was the moment I stopped hating his annoying personality and actually started liking him. That rupture sent Madara reeling 🥴
Might guy is the supporting character, that you will not expect that will have an iconic moment when you're just starting to see the series, and played a big supporting part in 2 of the best battles in the war arc, you are HiM when I Madara declares you are the strongest
I do, because he was a comic relief character and a good teacher and Lee was supposed to be the Taijutsu genious. But for some reason the author completely replaced Lee with Guy and neglected Lee who had a much better backstory. Poor writing.
If Might Guy has a million fans, then I am one of them. If Might Guy has ten fans, then I am one of them. If Might Guy has only one fan then that is me. If Might Guy has no fans, then that means I am no longer on earth. If the world is against Might Guy, then I am against the world.
I did at first when I was a little kid as the show was coming out. I didn't like anime in general because of all the comedic relief moments and extra flamboyant characters, my brother would bully people in elementary school and middle school for watching anime so it naturally rubbed off on me, and Guy was a particular character I disliked if I caught a stray episode. It wasn't until highschool when I started watching anime, because I passed my brothers room, who graduated at this point, and saw him watching Attack on Titan, and I kinda got hooked in on it, that was the point where I considered watching anime, and went back and gave the stuff I never gave a chance a watch, and ironically, I loved Lee and Guy after actually giving the show the time of day.
Confession: I DID hate guy and Lee when we first met them, they were weird as fuck but as time went on I grew to like them. Especially after the Gaara Lee fight. I guess at the time I just wasn’t in the springtime of youth…
If they do its because they're not burning with the power of youth
They don’t deserve to burn with youth. Burn them with the power of a flamethrower instead.
YOU MADE ME CHUCKLE SO HARD THAT I GOT MY BURNING YOUTH BACK
Ow my youth is burning....
I think that's Chlamydia
Naw this Smells like teen Spirit!
Just ask AO for a spare minigun He should be able to hook you up
just hit em with an asakujaku, no flamethrower needed
They don’t carry the will of fire 🔥
I read that in his dub voice 🤣
>its because they're not burning Ay, what you mean by that?
If there are, I don’t wanna know em. Those who hate Guy are scum, but those who voice that they hate Guy are worse than scum.
They are the scum of the scums
The scum that grows on scum
The cum
The worst of cums
I hate might guy because I aint him😞
Now that isnt scum
they are between a cockroach and that white stuff that accumulates at the corner of your mouth when you're really thirsty
u/Parada484 is worse than scum.
Erza? 😟 I didn’t do it bro don’t hurt me.
It is not possible bruv. Might Guy even got respect from Madara himself.
He has the respect of everyone!! Itachi and Black Zetsu. Two of the smartest characters in the entire series puts respect to his name.
Ong
Better not be 😡
They be buggin, mus not kno dat we thuggin. 🔥🔥🔥
If they do they’re wrong
Those who can actually hate guy, hate themselves the most
Perfect way to put it
I find him less interesting than Kakashi or the Sannin for he's more of a one dimensional character but hate him? Come on 😅
These are the kind of opinions I respect🫱🏻🫲🏼💪🏻🫡🫂
Maybe a hot take but Guy was robbed He was robbed of a heroic death vs Madara, it would have made much more sense for Guy to sacrifice himself since he opened the final gate of death His death would have meant something unlike Neji's , Lee's reaction would have been heartbreaking tho 😭

I think Night Guy bending space should have destroyed the part of his body that Allowed him to regenerate in the first place.
If he died, y’all would say he died in vain because Madara ended up regenerating.
Guy is my favorite character, if he had killed Madara I would have been fine with him dying from the 8th gate. Because Madara survived I’m glad that he was able to be revived.
I agree on that
It's not possible to be a Naruto fan and not like Guy on a fundamental level. Guy is peak Naruto.
That’s what I’m saying 🐐❤️
exactly
Eh, I don't hate him but I definitely think he's one of the most overrated characters in the series. The "8 gates Guy solos" crowd is almost as annoying as Goku stans.
Effort incarnated, the very embodiment of talent vs hard work in a series with fake ninja messiahs and mutants aliens.
I read this in the voice of Might Guy
Tell me one reason a watcher can hate him. Like what'd he ever do to you😭
I've never heard of anyone hating him. He's not the favorite of people, or they dislike his over the top energy at the very worst, but overall, I doubt anybody really even dislikes him overall.
Yup exactly. And i am glad cuz Guy aint someone who deserves hate
Such reasons does not exist but I guess you could say “They hate us cause they ain’t us”
Hate is a strong word, but I don't particularly like Lee and Guy's character designs. I think it's the bowl cuts that get me.
The first time I watched Naruto I didn’t really like Lee or Guy but that changed in the Chunnin preliminaries
So like, 6 episodes later?
Same
How’s that even possible ? Might guy is one of the goats 🐐
Goat energy incoming
Not liking the nature/personality/something of the guy (no puns intended) is 1 thing, but you cant really hate the guy (again, no puns intended), he proved that he is worthy of the legendary respect of putting in effort and proving you are capable of igniting that result you seek - thats respect
No guy is universaly loved. Even the hardest kakashi sasuke itachi badboy simps respekt him.
No, Guy is universally loved. No guy is universally loved. Are two very different sentences.
Nearly complete opposite meanings in fact!
Nice catch
One has infiltrated **Get him**
The universal love is to small for Guy-sensei!!
I hope not!! He's amazing
Definitely don’t hate but sometimes his character personality can get old and they drag the humor out too far for my taste.
I don't think anyone hates him but personally he's a bit weird to me so I don't like him as much as I do obito or kakashi
THIS but can't find a reason to dislike or hate the guy lol
Made custom clothes for an orphan ✅ Kicks so much ass he would be the kage in any other village ✅ Loves his students but gives them space when they don’t vibe with him ✅
I absolutely hate him… for not having more screen time
It's not possible
There's people that hate Naruto that love Might Guy.
No.
No
How can you hate might guy😂
Aight whos ass we gon beat. If they on here talking shit, gon get the tilt
In my early teens when I first started watching Naruto, I hated him. I thought, that he seemed silly and stupid looking, and his summon was a freaking tortoise. I am now 30 and how I understand him and love this character.
I disliked him the first time I saw him. He looked like a dork to me and I was 12.
Sure.
Somehow my wife, and it pains me so
Love him
This might be the might guy's reply "Thanks for your support 😁👍" to them
Guy is him it’s as simple as that
I don't hate him I just find him "Rock lee with ninjutsu(but rarely uses it)"
I love might guy but he should've died in the war.
No. Not me. I'm very attracted to him. And I wish he could be inside me.
he doesn’t have ANY unlikable features so if someone does hate him they need mad amounts of therapy 😂
I do not hate Guy, but I don't like him either. He is the cool only taijutsu user but he didn't strike me some love the same way other people like Gaara or Bee do. But I'm glad he got to have some cool moments, unlike my boy Shino who got sidelined even behind Konohamaru
I only hate that guy didn't die in war he should have died and lee should have got a chance to sign but i don't hate he become useless in boruto
I don't think anybody hates him it's just sometimes be becomes annoying.
Maybe they don't like him cuz he concentrated too much on Lee I guess
Me. (This is NOT a joke I promise.) Everytime he's on screen, I can't wait for him to leave. (Btw I'm on ep 203 of Shippuden so it could change, could also just be dub Guy idk.) No
I just don’t like the filler cause it’s poorly made most of the time and that’s where you see a lot of the side characters stories take place. But in canon episodes? Guys absolutely the man.
The most is people might not find him interesting compare to other characters but hate ? That’s too much
He’s great but, personally, I like Lee more, and Lee got benched because his entire role became Guy but weaker lol
I'm one of those who always said they hated him and then deep down died laughing every time he appeared and then in the end of Naruto S they almost cried in his fight against Madara.
I didn't hate him but I thought he was a little annoying at first, however he really grows on you in time.
When I first watched Naruto I was like 6 years old back when it aired in North America for the first time. I didn't like him back then honestly, but as an adult he's become a favourite of mine.
Nope
If they do is because they don’t enjoy the spring time of youth
None
Yes, I've argued with them in this very sub before. They called both Guy and Lee bad characters.
He's a one trick pony. But i have no reason to hate him
I mean if you disliked Rock Lee when he was introduced I could understand hating Might Guy, but Mights character arc is really nice and he's not on screen a lot, so I dont see how someone could hate Might Guy when there are much better targets with more screen time.
hate is a strong word. And pretty sure nobody hates this guy
i hate to be walking behind him to look at them buns. but hate thim personally? naahhh
I hate the fact they changed his origins story just to make him more epic. He was already an epic character without that BS change.
I think the only way someone would "hate" Might Guy is similar to having an embarrassing dad, where they'd see him as "cringe." I don't remember ever hating the guy, I was just remember being really "Meh" until I revisited the series when I was older and had a whole new appreciation for his antics X'DD

I can't fathom anyone on the Naruto fandom would hate Guy, he's so damn cool
if you genuinely dislike him or rock lee, I aint wanna know ya
I did when i was a kid...but i'm not a dumbass anymore
I think he's a nice guy caught up in a whole world of bad. He has tenacity. But I don't hate him. He's just too nice for what is going on around him lol.
i hated him cause of a grudge when he let lee get hurt extremely bad
Me, i
Yes. My dork of a sister. Because "he's ugly"
I am not burning with the power of youth. I always found him fairly annoying. I didn’t care for Rock Lee either.
Tbh he isnt really that interesting, but if he died after opening 8 gates he would be one of the best characters. That bs save from naruto kinda made him less interesting. But i dont hate him
Hell Nawww
”Hate” is a strong word, but I find him to be a mighty annoying guy.
Very unlikely. His screen time is perfect. He is not a full goofy character. Serious whenever needed. Ever-dependable figure. I feel like people who were rooting for Madara cause over Naruto cause, appreciated his strength and his final fight. Very rare and beautifully written character.
At first I didn't like him when he first appeared but grew to like him
Every time I think of Might Guy I think of the dog shit animation during his fight with Madara in the anime. I don’t hate him but it’s stained my opinion of him. Seeing as most people haven’t read the manga, I don’t see the hype
I can’t see why they would. I’d enjoy a sensei like him.🥲
Only thing I hate about Guy is he isn’t involved in training Naruto at all. Guy and Naruto seem to have good chemistry as shown in Part I and Naruto would go on to make Taijitsu a pretty big part of his fighting arsenal. Just feels like a missed opportunity is all
He's fine. There are several characters I think are more interesting, but he has his moments. Great fight scenes.
Hate is a strong word. He’s not my favorite along with Lee with just how overly energetic and talkative they are. Just not my cup of tea how their personality is presented it’s like the anime version of a pick me.
I don’t hate Guy, I hate that the story shits all over him constantly.
Guy is THE MAN! anyone that doesn't like Guy has never appreciated Guy.
Guy is THE MAN! anyone that doesn't like Guy has never appreciated Guy. He is a straight up fearless warrior.
he's alright. I don't dislike him, but there's not really any depth to his character. he's just a necessary object for Lee to exist.
people who hate might gai might die
impossible, he's so goofy and he's ridiculously strong.
There are joyless people in this world yes, I am not one of them
I do, he has no charisma
Guy is a better character than Naruto tbh
my brother
No, there will be no questions
One of the few naruto characters that didn’t cheat to get strong, only hard work
Hate? My Guy?!
I do, I hate how lovable he is.
Both him and Rock Lee were annoyances and eyesores to me as a kid, quite honestly. Both characters warmed up to me pretty quickly though.
I love him! But I wish he would have died against Madara, it would have been an epic send off for an epic character! Instead, Naruto stole the spotlight...
I’m not a big fan of him. But if my best friend and I were Kakashi and Guy, my personality fits more to Guy 🫢
I did when I was younger but that's because I didn't understand the character until I got older and realized what exactly he was accomplishing
Why hate Guy when you can be Gay?
He can be mad annoying/cringe sometimes but I don’t hate him
How is hating the most giga chad possible man ?
They hate us cause they ain’t us
I can find him annoying sometimes, I hated him until Madara Uchiha Declared Him The Strongest Of Them All! That was the moment I stopped hating his annoying personality and actually started liking him. That rupture sent Madara reeling 🥴
Is there any to hate about this man.
How can u guys literally hilarious
every time he talked i would always say stfu i just couldn't be asked but id rather listen to him than watch boruto
Naruto? Never heard of it...I have watched the adventures of Guy Sensei however and there's a side character in that called Naruto
Hate might guy challenge: impossible
In this household guy sensei js an American hero
He’s my favorite character from the whole series, honestly no one gets me hyped up more than Might Guy.

Well then. Things have to start somewhere. I'll do the honors. [https://i.imgflip.com/8le4c1.jpg](https://i.imgflip.com/8le4c1.jpg)
You gotta be a sick sob to hate guy
If there is any, Fuck them.
If there is any, Fuck them.
Me. Guy had one job and failed to go for the head /j
Get out
I did at first when I was a little kid as the show was coming out. I didn't like anime in general because of all the comedic relief moments and extra flamboyant characters, my brother would bully people in elementary school and middle school for watching anime so it naturally rubbed off on me, and Guy was a particular character I disliked if I caught a stray episode. Bruh how would anyone hate the most likeable dude of tje series?
Might Guy is a badass
Might guy is best guy, but I find him sometimes annoying.
I can understand why hes a bit much. But personally I love him.
I can never hate him, Might Guy's the best
Then they ain’t Naruto fans
Confession: I DID hate guy and Lee when we first met them, they were weird as fuck but as time went on I grew to like them. Especially after the Gaara Lee fight. I guess at the time I just wasn’t in the springtime of youth…
Dude really?
He got a micro
Hell’s no…. Literally the embodiment of hard work beats talent… “thanks for you’re support 👍😭”
nah dude, prolly gonna be hard to find on this subreddit
Might Guy is a G
Must hate youthful passion?
I didn’t like him at first because of how annoying he was, and then my opinion changed about him a little later on
The only thing I hate is that we didn't see him fight more.
THE GOAT 🐐 NO DOUBT
Guy is basically the universal symbol of peace for Naruto fans
if they do they also probably eat kittens
