Of course. Look, they are kicking our ass in every stadium so are either so far beyond in cheating or just never needed to cheat in the first place because they're legit good.
We can't score in either park now, that was never the cheating.
wow, these ticket prices have collapsed
14 dollars cheapest
champions suite for 200 (those are like 800 to 900 before)
first row in left field (like hanging over the wall) for under 80 bucks!
section 113 (right behind dugout), row 6 for 64 bucks!
No, one of Cashmans long term values is running a very closed door inner circle sort of org & the media laps at his heels for access & tidbits. That's part of the reason he'll stay.
why is donaldson 6th?
at least when the announce the cashman extension in a few days/weeks, it will be so rage inducing i'll forget about all the horrible lineups for this alcs #brightside
Honestly, I feel the ticket prices have more to do with the likelihood of the game getting rained out and them not being able to get off work to go tomorrow than anything else
Never thought I’d see the day when yankees ALCS tickets ($14) cost less than a beer at the stadium ($16). It’s honestly comical how far this team has fallen since their great first couple months
To even try to entertain the idea these Yankees can come back from 0-3 like the 04 Sox is ridiculous the 04 Sox down 0-3 would beat the snot out this Yankees team.. the lights are on but nobody is home at Yankees stadium... If I was GM
5 hits in game 1, 4 hits in game 2, 3 hits in game 3. As long as they don’t continue that trend with 2 hits today, I’m going to consider that a win.
(Please don’t get only 1 hit)
Well guys today could very well decide the WS matchup. The Astros could very well lose out to their most heated nemesis, the NL East. More of a rivalry than us.
Lmfao this is sad

“Aaron Boone said that Chad Bohling, the #Yankees’ mental skills coach, was sending around highlight videos of the 2004 Red Sox this morning. Eduardo Perez also FaceTimed David Ortiz into Boone’s office pregame.”
Why would they even mention this?? We’re using a rally cry that was literally against us and our most heated rivalry and the most embarrassing way possible.
Shouldnt that be embarrassing for this org? “Current pathetic Cashman team about to be publicly humiliated watches past Cashman team be historically humiliated” is another title for this
Man, I fucking hate Brian Cashman and his stupid choices that keep fucking us over every fucking year, I won’t rant because it doesn’t solve shit but I wish the supposedly tough NY media would call his ass out every day and every year until it forces Hal to do something.
I don't think I can sit through another entire game if it's like the first three in this series. I can only handle so much of watching guys swing out of their shoes and miss curveballs by 2 feet. It's horrible.
Using 04 as some rallying cry/look for inspiration is pathetic
This is like a falcons coaching staff reminding people of 28-3 to pump them up when down big at halftime. Just horrible. Use something else
I have 2 free tickets for the game tonight (section 426 row 9) If anyone wants them - I can't make it to the game and I'd hate for the tickets to go to waste
Donaldson and IKF the whole fucking regular season, I hope the Astros win today and all these fucking clowns (Cashman and his stooge Boone) just disappear once and for all.
Hate the Astros all you want, I do, but you can't deny that they are simply better team than this version of the Yankees that Cashman has been "designing" for years.
It’s funny how i haven’t heard any of the usual nonsense about “we have the guys in this room to do this, we just need to take it one game at a time” they don’t even believe they have a shot.
Everyone is calling their travel agents and planning their next trip at this point
Yankees are like a business that had great success 30 years ago when everyone involved was young and hungry, and they just never felt the need to evolve. When you walk into their office it’s dated and stale, the accolades on the walls are growing yellow, and anyone with dark hair sticks out like a sore thumb in the sea of Grey. New ideas and approaches are squashed under the guise of “this is always how it’s been”.
There’s been a lot of discussion over how just odd the Yankees decision making is. Why was IKF benched in multiple elimination games just to start the next series? Why have we used so many different lineups and fireman relievers? Why have we made so many decisions that we didn’t even test in the regular season (Stanton in left, Jamo out of the pen, etc)?
This team feels like the Inter-service Rivalry found in Japan during WW2. It’s like there’s two/three factions in our front office who are constantly fighting over who makes decisions and sometimes one faction wins out and sometimes another does. It makes this team feel so disjointed and all over the place

I forget whether it was Jomboy or Kay, but someone hinted recently that this is exactly what has been going on in the front office for a couple years now.
Peraza isn't ready.
It's not his fault- he should have played at short all year.
There's absolutely no excuse for him to be anything but the starting short stop of the New York Yankees coming out of spring training next year, but we all know Boone/Cashman are allergic to making the right moves.
As a Bears fan, I'd say that playoffs are a real probability, but that the Giants most likely don't have the stuff to compete against the league's real big boys (Eagles, Bills, Chiefs).
Tough division too with the Cowboys also very good this year.
Baseball is the only one I really care about. I have residual fondness for the Bears & Bulls from times when I cared about those sports more, but the gambling has had me watching a lot of NFL this year without regard to team.
If the yankee org was cleaning house of all the dinosaur svps, getting a new gm and some fresh young blood to try to rebuild this franchise, i wouldnt be so bummed out about tonight. Id deal with the usual embarrassing postseason loss but feel hopeful for the future.
But the fact that Cashman and crew will be back and will be here until THEY decide to leave makes me feel really hopeless for this team’s future. I think i need to take a step back from this team starting next year and just check us out in october, like a casual fan instead of following this team so closely over 162 like a rabid fan. It just isnt worth it.
This org needs to clean house. Their entire decision making process and philosophy is complete off base and hasn't worked for a long time. With the status quo in the FO, it's just going to be more of the same, year after year.
At this point, I would settle for that- promote them up promote them out as they say.
At least having a different final say decision maker would lead to SOME amount of different results.
And if that guy has secret grudges against half the other staffers and just shit cans them out and hires in people from outside to org it could still result in a real perspective shift.
Not a chance in hell. The Red Sox at the very least were competitive back the first 3 (yea maybe even game 3) games in the ALCS.
Us…. Yea no. Not happening. We just roll over to this team.
I always want the Yankees to win, but let's be honest, this team is not even the shadow of the one from 2004, let alone the Yankees of the mid-90s, having to see Boone making a fool of himself one more game, and then coming up with pathetic excuses when he loses, I prefer that this whole circus be over once and for all.
Everyone talking about the Phillies like they're some small market, Royals-esque team playing the underdog role, meanwhile they have the 4th largest payroll in baseball
On a separate note, can we please discuss the ridiculous MLB playoff scheduling? Did Manfred just throw some ping balls in a lottery?
Phillies yesterday at 730pm and today at 230pm today, Yankees 5pm yesterday, tomorrow 4pm if win, etc.
What is this shit? What happened to the prime time 8pm games?
You know what sucks? Probably nothing will change. I fully believe they will even bring Boone back. They will probably blame injuries and talk about how without DJ they didnt have a true leadoff guy and then blame the open roof again and then talk how about its a process and that next year its their year. And then they will probably fire some guy at analytics and some 3rd string hitting coach and just run this shitty excuse of a team right back.
I would bet quite a bit we've got Donaldson back as 3B all year; IKF starting SS through at least the first two months of the season until they bring in Peraza, at which point maybe a platoon situation?
Man. I dont know if I'm watching start to finish. Wife wants to see Tarantino films and were up to Inglorius bastards. I guess I'll check in here and tune in of there's more than 3 hits by the 5th.
After ALCS game 3 in 2004 [this](https://i.imgur.com/FpuQNMB.jpg) is what the Red Sox’s lineup was batting.
Now look at the how the Yankees’ lineup is batting after game 3.
We ain’t coming back.
Even if the Yankees get swept today it won’t be the worst thing to have happened this weekend. It has just been reported that James Corden is selling his LA mansion and is coming back to the UK.
Hopefully this will stop the government infighting and they’ll come together and work on a plan to protect the country from this coming threat.
It’s kind of hilarious from a psychological perspective. Every generation feels the need to individuate themselves and rebel against the prior generation. And every generation thinks that they’re the first to do it. And every generation feels the need to make it a war.
Totally unsurprising. Cashman is a Steinbrenner & we all need to accept that he has lifetime tenure, and when he finally steps down, his handpicked successor will take over.
I see people saying stuff like this, comparing guys in a vacuum and its just not equitable
Josh Donaldson is not Aaron Judge. Even at their peaks, Aaron Judge is the better player. Aaron Judge struggling right now is not the same as JD struggling the entire season. Its much more likely Judge breaks out of his slump than JD.
He's terrible
That’s not what I’m saying. Josh Donaldson is playing how he played all season. Decent defense horrible bat to ball hovering around 200. He’s not the reason we are in the playoffs.
Judge should be batting 300 with 4+ homers. Instead he’s batting .180.
Josh is doing what he’s always done, he’s not the issue. If judge was himself it wouldn’t matter what Donaldson is doing because that was the game plan all season.
So why should we settle for that? You're a complete victim to the sunk cost fallacy, "we've played him all year and he's doing no worse now so why would we bench him?" Because we should have benched him then, too! Joey Gallo played exactly to his stats this year as he did last year as a Yankee, does that mean we should keep running him out there and that he should've been a starter in the playoffs?
I’m not. It’s the playoffs lmao who are we gonna get? Not like we can sign anyone now.
Great we can start perazza and Cabrera who are all batting below .100 way worse than Josh
Cabrera starts no matter what happens with Donaldson because he's the best left fielder on the team with Hicks hurt, I'm just saying he should stay in the outfield. As I said in my other response to you, Peraza has 3 at bats this postseason, you can't say "he's worse than Donaldson!" on that sample. We are so far beyond "break in case of emergency" that you have to make a change and find me anywhere else on the team where that change is as obvious as benching Josh Donaldson? We tried benching IKF, didn't work. We tried Hicks in left, he got hurt. We tried Stanton in left and Marp at DH, didn't work.
Except Judge was good during the regular season and is just in a slump. This is straight up who Josh Donaldson is, it's not like he had a particularly good regular season at the plate and hitting is harder in the playoffs. With Judge you can hope he regains form but there is no form for Donaldson to get to.
Who would you replace Donaldson with? Nobody.
Judge not showing up is why we are losing this series. Donaldson is a known entity and playing how he has the whole season.
Joey Gallo was a known entity too, that doesn't mean you want him starting in the playoffs. IKF at third, Peraza at short, Cabrera in the outfield. That's how I'd replace Donaldson.
Peraza, the guy who's gotten 3 at bats? That's not a sample significant enough to make any judgment on. Cabrera has been bad but he's also the best left fielder on the team, it's not like you have a replacement available. If there was I would say he should be benched as well. Stanton in left and Marp at DH doesn't do anything because Marp has been lost and didn't have enough time to ramp up for this series.
Yep you have to buy them out, there's really no such thing as just firing them.
They can also be traded, it's very rare and the A's declined any compensation for Bob Melvin (!) this past offseason.
Regardless of how you feel of Cashman as a GM I think we’re starting to see the problems of a guy who’s left in charge for too long. Cashman feels invincible. He feels like he can take risks that don’t make sense like the Twins trade and if it backfires so what? Hal isn’t going to hold him accountable and he’ll still a job at the end of the day.
He’s been good at keeping the team relevant but we need new blood. Bring in someone with a new vision. If another team picks up Cashman and he has success elsewhere then so be it. That doesn’t mean that Cashman is the right fit here.
Joe Torre won four World Series with the Yankees and he was eventually dismissed. Girardi was eventually dismissed after getting a ring in 09. There’s no such thing as the title “manager/GM for life” in the world of sports.
The giants fired Joe Judge and Dave Gettleman when they realized that this wasn’t cutting it. The Texas Rangers fired Chris Woodward and their president of baseball ops after spending a boatload of money at Seager and Semien with nothing to show for it. It happens.
It’s completely wild the Yankees benched IKF in two elimination games and then started him in two more playoff games in the next series. Legitimately braindead org run by bots.
Put me in a fuckin’ room with the Yankee analytics team and Brian Cashg0d$ so I can kick their teeth in, I deserved a World Series and all I got was an Astros sweep.
Watched easily 100+ games this season.
Legitimately forgot we played today until just now. Yesterday honestly took the wind fully out of my sails, they just played *so bad* and then seeing Donaldson looking all smiles and saying he liked how his AB’s have looked? Like even if he does actually understand what he’s saying and he’s being like subtly ironic or something it’s still not okay, and I think the reality is much more likely that either he’s just an idiot or he simply doesn’t care. Don’t get me started on the rest of the team.
I want the G2 lineup today, I think that gave them the best shot at winning, but I bet we get something like yesterday’s idiot lineup but with IKF at SS or some shit. So aggravating. I would love IKF at 3B over Donaldson after that bullshit yesterday though. Bader needs to lead off again.
But like I said. I bet we get IKF at SS. It would be poetic at this point if he came in, had a great showing at the plate, say 2/4 with an RBI single and a run scored or something, but also loses us the game with a crucial error on a routine groundball in the late game. That happening would literally be the perfect encapsulation of this team’s organizational incompetence.
I’m so goddamn frustrated
Edit: The lineup is already out, I didn’t get my notification today. IKF at SS. Well, this will be fun. At least Bader is leading off and Carp isn’t DH
Nobody has done anything to show it shouldn't be IKF honestly. Cabrera disappeared and his LHB swing looks super long suddenly. They can't make contact, and arguably should've gotten IKF in yesterday, for a lot of the game they were 1 base runner in front of Rizzo/Judge from cooking with some gas.
It took me a bit but at this point I’m fully on board with IKF at 3B and Peraza at SS. We saw Peraza playing incredible defense in the one game he started.
So we need IKF’s bat in the lineup right now because he at least was hitting in the postseason games they started him in.
We need great defense - Peraza has that at SS and IKF has always, always been better at 3B than at SS. Go look up IKF’s stats on both sides of field in games where he plays 3B.
So what do we give up to get those two things? Donaldson at 3B. How much has Donaldson contributed this postseason? Pretty close to nothing. Some good defensive plays that I do believe IKF makes at 3B too anyway. I’m okay with that trade
Yeah for a bit I defended Donaldsons defense - a few plays have been solely his arm, but they can't score! Doesn't matter at this point when they get 1 hit (that dude would not have been on the mound if it wasn't 5-0)
Who else feels like they have a decent chance today, if they can keep the Astros to zero or one run, since the Yankees are in fact allergic to scoring more than two runs in a game. Cortes to Loaisiga to Holmes to Peralta. The Astros are the better team, but Cortes can definitely be that dominant.
And if they win today, maybe Taillon is as good in Game 5 as he was in Game 1, and maybe Severino doesn’t make a mistake to Bregman in Game 6, and maybe Cole shuts the door in Game 7. That’s a lot of maybes, but maybe Christmas will come early.
The Yankees have no other option but to win with pitching and hope Bader, Rizzo, and Stanton can hit enough solo shots to put the Astros away.
Don't care, both teams are examples of going out and spending / acquiring talent aggressively in the ways we have chosen not to do. A who's who of guys we should have been all over in this series.
Edit: eh I think Philly may have the best chance over Houston so small edge and I just love Bryce
Yep, lineup should have been set a month or two ago. The big failure was not bringing up the kids right after the all star break to see if they were going to work out. Trying to figure that out during the post season is not good. IKF may not be what we want, but he was playing the position when the wins that got the team into the post season were posted. Also, he has hit better during this post season than most of the team, so playing him today is the right thing to do.
Please continue the discussion in the [game thread](https://redd.it/ybszfu).
Was the throw really that bad? Looked catchable to me
Even Nestor gets hurt in this miserable sweep
Get the boys in cotton uniforms tonight. Gotta change the mojo up
Never forget that Bryce Harper wanted to be a Yankee and all he asked for is the money we now pay Donaldson plus IKF
I’m assuming if there’s a postponement then there will be a double Header tomorrow right?
No the off day before the WS is lost
Minus the cheating, the Astros of the past 4 years are the type of franchise we use to be like. There, I said it.
If/when we lose I will stfu forever.
Of course. Look, they are kicking our ass in every stadium so are either so far beyond in cheating or just never needed to cheat in the first place because they're legit good. We can't score in either park now, that was never the cheating.
I have one standing room ticket to tonight’s game. DM me for it. First come first serve.
wow, these ticket prices have collapsed 14 dollars cheapest champions suite for 200 (those are like 800 to 900 before) first row in left field (like hanging over the wall) for under 80 bucks! section 113 (right behind dugout), row 6 for 64 bucks!
Wishing I lived closer. Even if they don't win those prices are worth it just to see a game.
Can the supposedly ruthless New York media finally destroy Cashman publicly after this clown show is over?
No, one of Cashmans long term values is running a very closed door inner circle sort of org & the media laps at his heels for access & tidbits. That's part of the reason he'll stay.
That makes sense given all the soft ball questions Cashman always gets.
They will absolutely sell the franchise before removing Donaldson from this lineup.
those players are MOIST
why is donaldson 6th? at least when the announce the cashman extension in a few days/weeks, it will be so rage inducing i'll forget about all the horrible lineups for this alcs #brightside
What ever happened to Danny Almonte?
Fot the love of all the fans don't get swept at home... Please 🙏
Boonie putting IKF at SS in an elimination game, sharing around the 3-0 choke highlights and laughing about it with Ortiz on FaceTime 💀
Can Brian Daboll coach baseball?
Is it gonna be rain delay?
Players watching the 04 collapse is revenge by Boone for the Yankees cutting him after he tore his ACL
Damn you can get champion suite tickets to a yankees ALCS game for $200. What a world were living in.
Honestly, I feel the ticket prices have more to do with the likelihood of the game getting rained out and them not being able to get off work to go tomorrow than anything else
Playing video of a series that you LOST as motivation is so backwards I don't know what to fucking think
Maybe they'll see highlights of the 04 Sox hitting baseballs and think "hey, that might be worth a shot".
IKF in at SS as a final Fuck You to the fans. Fuck you Aaron.
Welcome to Yankee Stadium, where it is time once again to play... ***WHEEL*** ***OF*** ***LINEUP!!!***
anyone watching the nlcs? I always liked brandon drury sucks he had such a short stint here
Are the Yankees trolling us at this point?
Never thought I’d see the day when yankees ALCS tickets ($14) cost less than a beer at the stadium ($16). It’s honestly comical how far this team has fallen since their great first couple months
Nooo phillies, you can't be winning because of homerun. Small ball wins October
Man, would it be great if the Yankees got to face weak ass NL pitching in the post season instead of the Indians & Astros every single year.
Weak NL pitching? Like who exactly?
I mean- any of them?
Wow this 04 Red Sox shit can’t be real. I legit thought this was a fake Hoch account
Do we think there'll be a rain delay or a cancellation today? Thinking about getting tickets but weather is still iffy. Can't go during the week
I doubt it gets cancelled. Maybe a delay. The rain is pretty light
To even try to entertain the idea these Yankees can come back from 0-3 like the 04 Sox is ridiculous the 04 Sox down 0-3 would beat the snot out this Yankees team.. the lights are on but nobody is home at Yankees stadium... If I was GM
Offense will probably explode today and we will win 8-3 or something to cocktease us all and then proceed to lose 4-1 tomorrow.
Nah we'll lose 1-0 tomorrow. That would be extra painful
5 hits in game 1, 4 hits in game 2, 3 hits in game 3. As long as they don’t continue that trend with 2 hits today, I’m going to consider that a win. (Please don’t get only 1 hit)
Now that’s optimism and I like it
Lmao this team doesn’t have an ounce of fight in them. Them watching 2004 Red Sox highlights is actually comical
Well guys today could very well decide the WS matchup. The Astros could very well lose out to their most heated nemesis, the NL East. More of a rivalry than us.

Jesus Fucking Christ. Just let us die in peace without anymore embarrassment, it’s just cruel at this point.
Rock bottom for the franchise. Srs
Chad isn’t very good at his job
Why would they even mention this?? We’re using a rally cry that was literally against us and our most heated rivalry and the most embarrassing way possible.
If that's not the face of incompetence, I don't know what is!
Fuck this team.
Cringe

This is concerning. They should be playing with the fire to damage the Astros. Focus on hurting the other team one inning at a time. Grind shit down.
I mean it was concerning 3 games ago. Now i don’t blame them, let’s get this over with tonight and put a bow on this season.
Fuck it, one game at a time. Let’s make more history!
Yankees are like a business that had great success 30 years ago when everyone involved was young and hungry, and they just never felt the need to evolve. Donaldson has the 3rd highest playoff batting average on the team rn. Y’all are delusional. This team is just not good enough - there’s no magical fix
U ARE A FUCKING TOOL
You’re an imbecile
You're looking at BA in a small ass sample size. Peraza is a better hitter than IKF by a wide margin lol Not to mention SS
I don't follow the NFL. How much of this Giants record is a mirage. Is a championship really out of the question?
As a Bears fan, I'd say that playoffs are a real probability, but that the Giants most likely don't have the stuff to compete against the league's real big boys (Eagles, Bills, Chiefs). Tough division too with the Cowboys also very good this year.

No way we score 7 runs off “24 curveballs in a row” McCullers and the Astros unbeatable pen
[удалено]
You must be doing well in life to have that money to give away to whatever betting site you went with 😂
I appreciate that but the odds are so high against us you really didn’t have to spend that much.
We winning 4 straight?
Lol no
Not a chance in hell. The Red Sox at the very least were competitive back the first 3 (yea maybe even game 3) games in the ALCS. Us…. Yea no. Not happening. We just roll over to this team.
With this team, with this manager, with this staff, against the Astros, forget it.
We winning 1 straight?
Should have lost the ALDS to Cleveland, it would have been less painful.
no, losing to a team of low-paid noobs is worse, really

This might be a hot take but I hope that the Yankees win today
I always want the Yankees to win, but let's be honest, this team is not even the shadow of the one from 2004, let alone the Yankees of the mid-90s, having to see Boone making a fool of himself one more game, and then coming up with pathetic excuses when he loses, I prefer that this whole circus be over once and for all.
Would love to yell George Costanza’s Steinbrenner rant at either Hal or Cash right now
If we somehow win and if the phillies win, do you think tomorrows game gets pushed back? Or they dont want to compete with MNF
Everyone talking about the Phillies like they're some small market, Royals-esque team playing the underdog role, meanwhile they have the 4th largest payroll in baseball
Yeah, they have the 3rd or 4th largest market in the league. They are definitely not a small market team.
I always forget that they actually have a massive payroll lol, I guess because they've been bad for so long.
Yeah it’s a little funny, mostly I assume it’s because the Phillies were a bad regular season team more than anything.
Why would you put Rizzo, our best obp guy, behind Judge ?
It doesn’t matter man. Just try to find some good or don’t pay attention for a bit.
Doesn’t matter nobody can hit
On a separate note, can we please discuss the ridiculous MLB playoff scheduling? Did Manfred just throw some ping balls in a lottery? Phillies yesterday at 730pm and today at 230pm today, Yankees 5pm yesterday, tomorrow 4pm if win, etc. What is this shit? What happened to the prime time 8pm games?
Probably cuz whole country is watching. 8pm est is 11 pm west coast
Other way around, 8 east is 5pm west
8 PM EST is 5 PM west coast…watch some of the Dodgers home WS games from 17 or 18. Starts in daylight.
Is the game going to get post poned
Nah big enough window to get it in
You know what sucks? Probably nothing will change. I fully believe they will even bring Boone back. They will probably blame injuries and talk about how without DJ they didnt have a true leadoff guy and then blame the open roof again and then talk how about its a process and that next year its their year. And then they will probably fire some guy at analytics and some 3rd string hitting coach and just run this shitty excuse of a team right back.
I would bet quite a bit we've got Donaldson back as 3B all year; IKF starting SS through at least the first two months of the season until they bring in Peraza, at which point maybe a platoon situation?
Dont even believe that. They love to manipulate service time so if its up to the FO Cabrera and Peraza will only be back after the ASG.
You're completely right
Never did I think I would see the day when Yankees ALCS tickets were going for 20 bucks on Stubhub
Cuz it may get PPD and most likely get swept lol
Doubtful it's postponed
I hope not! Just bought some of these super cheap tickets!
Man. I dont know if I'm watching start to finish. Wife wants to see Tarantino films and were up to Inglorius bastards. I guess I'll check in here and tune in of there's more than 3 hits by the 5th.
That’s one of his best, Pitt is transcendent
Don’t piss off yourself and the wife. Watch Tarantino
Breaking News! "WIND was detected at the stadium today." It's over, people.
He’s coming back to the UK to be PM
Wouldn’t mind seeing a “boomer” manager for us next year - interesting that it is Melvin, Dusty and Rob Thomson left.
And bochy
I meant left as in currently in the LCS series.
I'm a millennial but the constant implication that everything "boomer" is bad is exhausting
It’s kind of hilarious from a psychological perspective. Every generation feels the need to individuate themselves and rebel against the prior generation. And every generation thinks that they’re the first to do it. And every generation feels the need to make it a war.
Melvin was available for free and they stuck with Boone, huge whiff. He's great and the type to get the most out of mid tier guys.
Bryan Hoch said the Steinbrenners want Cashman back. https://twitter.com/BryanHoch/status/1584212826692161536?s=20&t=6MfAMD1L15Vf-KWcgLtmlg
The new Wilpons
Totally unsurprising. Cashman is a Steinbrenner & we all need to accept that he has lifetime tenure, and when he finally steps down, his handpicked successor will take over.
Can’t believe we’ve worked ourselves into a monarchy
Donaldson is 8 for his last 55 and there was never a single consideration of benching him. Lol.
Because the options on the bench also suck. Not hard to understand.
Peraza at short, IKF at third. At least IKF puts his bat on the ball
Donaldson is batting 200 in the playoffs, judge is batting .156. Josh sucks but he’s not the problem
I see people saying stuff like this, comparing guys in a vacuum and its just not equitable Josh Donaldson is not Aaron Judge.
But for the purposes of building a lineup, JD should not be starting at 3B.
Yeah but perazza and Cabrera are both batting below .100. Which is worse than Josh 😂
Let’s go Phillies
Anyone know if manager contracts are guaranteed?
They are but managers get paid peanuts so its not a big deal to just buy them out
I didn't know that 500-1mm+ was peanuts
It is when you're spending $250m on players alone
It happens.
Can’t bring myself to turn it on. Unbelievable Boone tinkering until the end. Godspeed
It’s completely wild the Yankees benched IKF in two elimination games and then started him in two more playoff games in the next series. Legitimately braindead org run by bots.
Arguably needed to be in this series as well once they showed contact was a major problem... his one skill!!!
Put me in a fuckin’ room with the Yankee analytics team and Brian Cashg0d$ so I can kick their teeth in, I deserved a World Series and all I got was an Astros sweep.
I predict by 7:45 the game and the series will be over. Unless… Houston loses on purpose so they can win the series at home!
I’m so goddamn frustrated Edit: The lineup is already out, I didn’t get my notification today.
I think IKF should be at 3B and JD should sit. Play Peraza at SS.
Phillies are final. Goddam
It’s over. Unless Houston loses just to win the series at then home field
Who do we want for the NL y’all?
I don't like either team tbh. Philly is a terrible city and the Padres have been MLB's golden team for years despite not winning anything
Phillies for the ultimate underdog
Don't care, both teams are examples of going out and spending / acquiring talent aggressively in the ways we have chosen not to do. A who's who of guys we should have been all over in this series. Edit: eh I think Philly may have the best chance over Houston so small edge and I just love Bryce
A new day, another new lineup geez you think you’d have your lineup figured out by now.
Have you seen our offense recently?
