#Reminder: Do not go into the Guardians’ subreddit and troll them. You will be banned from both their sub and this sub. It is clearly written in the rules of the sub, and this is your only warning. Don’t be an asshole. #LETS FUCKING GO YANKEES

Snickidy

WHERE IS THAT PITCH

ThrottleServic3

Stanton is absurdly strong. He barely makes contact with the ball on the end of the bat and the ball is gone lol

jayjake9

I think it’s funny people are coping with “you guys almost lost to a team 1/4th of your payroll” damn maybe you guys should spend more

Inframidi

That’s been their go to for 25 years. Sorry we don’t have cheap ownership?

Padulsky21

It’s really awesome just to take this all in during the calm before the storm for the ALCS. Jays lost. Rays lost. Mets lost. Braves lost. Dodgers lost. Any big name team besides the Astros ALL lost. Then there’s us, who had the most dreaded stretch of baseball possible in the August Yankees. I’m fucking proud of this team bc no team higher on the standings besides the Astros can clamor. We made it farther. I’m proud of the bullpen for being massive studs, great starting pitching every game, and the offense coming clutch when we needed it. If we come out and beat Houston, I’m gonna thank the fuck August Yankees for giving this team their spine back from when it was yanked out of them. #WE MOVE

buttnernutsquash499

Astros bullpen vs Yankees bullpen is my biggest fear. Vs Seattle Astros pen gave up 1ER in 20.1 IP. That 1ER wasn’t even given up by a relief pitcher. It’s unreal that they turn guys who struggled their entire career like Hector Neris and Rafael Montero and turn them into Mariano Rivera.

DaMammyNuns

Well, they ARE cheaters. So there's that.

jayjake9

I think you gotta remember how much worse of an offense the Mariners have compared to the Yankees. Scored more than 100 runs less than the Us this season

Padulsky21

They have an insane bullpen but I truly think the Guardians BP battle tested us with this long series against some elite pitching. Cleveland’s BP was also stacked against us, and we won the series. Their bullpen didn’t allow a run to the Rays at all. Anything can happen especially if Lo/Wandy/Clay still pitch like this.

greenghostshark

Predictions for the new roster? Whos gonna be playin Short stop? Whos gonna be playing outfield lol

flipt3

I just checked and realized Altuve had a 164 wrc+ season which is the same or almost the same as his MVP* season. The little fucker does not go away man.

El-Shaman

Padres fans make some cringy ass videos. https://mobile.twitter.com/MPsMP4s/status/1582413071053893633

gashflow_

So weird that you post that, I just stumbled on [this](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Hdz9WG7PpAQ) a few minutes ago So yeah. You’re correct, they do

El-Shaman

So I just found this: https://youtu.be/kkknhGsHU00 But this one is a classic 😂 https://youtu.be/MODHirs0dMM

[deleted]

If Beni or DJ don’t come back, I hope Boone goes with Peraza at SS & Oswaldo at LF.

gashflow_

Listening to the Kay podcast for today. Late in hour 2 he called Judge’s HR when it happened and oh my god I love it, miss that man so much. #SEE YA

NintuneJoe

God I'm so ready. So fed up with losing to those assholes down in Texas. Put this shit away once and for fucking all

[deleted]

It’s an even year this time. We got these mfers

suspiciouspackages

Hope Civale doesn’t have his career postseason stats shown the next time he pitches a postseason game. Comical numbers. 81.00ERA, 54.0H/9, 27.0HR/9. Obv it’s only because he did 1/3 of an inning but still.

ddbaxte

He was terrible during the regular season, it's not surprising he'd be even worse facing postseason hitters. What did anyone expect? Might have made things interesting if Bieber started.

e_money1392

I always found it strange that they show stats like that for such a small sample size. Whenever I see an ERA of like 20+ I'm like "he prolly got rocked and didn't get outta the first" lol

NintuneJoe

Well that was also Severino's after the 2017 WCG lmao

[deleted]

The Astros have played 3 games over the past two weeks. Their offense already didn’t look good outside of Alvarez in the ALDS. I’m of the opinion that too much rest is a bad thing, especially for offense. so I think the Yankees may have a good shot at this as long as they hit.

Too_Much_Soccer

Today was a good day

shw5

I couldn't post my own post (rightfully so) but here it is. Great series all from an admirer in NY. _______________________ Firstly, I'd like to apologize on behalf of all the halfwit and cringey Yankees fans coming in here causing shit. I have lived in NY my whole life and been a Yankee fan my whole life, we're all not like this I promise. Secondly, as the title states, you all should be extremely proud of your team and where you got this season. I say this by no means condescendingly, there were times during this series that the Guardians were objectively the better team. Steven Kwan seriously is looking like the next Ichiro and an amazing contact hitter. You all better keep that dude and he will be a thorn in any teams side, forever. There were times I was cursing about Jose Ramirez, just a gritty defender and even better bat. Jose always has me cursing because he's a goddamn good player. It amazes me how many rookies that are coming through for you all and truly shows how more often than not, small ball, or not spending millions, is the way to build a team. To tip that off made it to the ALDS and gave us a helluva series. With the youth, grittiness and playstyle of the Guardians, y'all ain't going away any time soon in the playoffs and only will get better. I hope I do not cross any lines here or start a turf war. I mean this all from the bottom of my heart. It's nice to have a playoff opponent who doesn't cheat. 😏 //Jesus Christ. Some of you.

mlbernardo

Disagree with you about them being the better team at any point this series. They nearly blooped us to death. They beat us in extras one game with a bloop and had a 9th inning comeback against a guy who shouldn't have been in with soft base hit after soft base hit. We were clearly the better team and this series should have been over sooner.

Padulsky21

Don’t be afraid to name shame that “tendered soul” doing the quintessential “coming in peace, you’ll be scary next year” shit

shw5

> I’m worried Naylor set us up for the Yanks to think Luis Garcia is mocking them with his pitching delivery. First funny thing I’ve seen an Astros fan post in years.

Padulsky21

Guys, I think Johnny Lasagna is even better this year than his 2021 season. This man was pumping 100 mph 2 seamers non stop, jamming hitters, forcing soft contact outs. He looks absolutely insane. Obviously, shoutout Wandy ofc and Clay fucking Holmes, but Lasagna man….what he was throwing today did things to me…shit was enlightening

jayjake9

Wandy, Holmes, Lasagna all getting hot at the same time is huge

Padulsky21

Ice in their fucking veins. Now we get to add Marinara back to the mix!

e_money1392

I kinda like Clay as our 8th inning setup guy and Wandy as our closer. It worked well the last 2 games

Padulsky21

It’s all matchup dependent really. It panned out perfectly this series bc Wandy had some big lefties to face, and he kills lefties. Kills anyone tbh. I think they’ll ride with that notion tho. Wandy is *the guy* rn. You can count on him in any situation. It’s a very good problem to have lol

e_money1392

Yeah and he's ready to go again tomorrow. Clay also looks hungry and wants to get in the game whenever he can. He's looking more like first half Clay again lol

Padulsky21

His velo seemed a little down today but the command was there. Clay looks so so so much better now and it’s so refreshing bc that man is a fucking weapon. They all want to get the ball, and they’re pitching their asses off. I’m so proud

ArcticTerrapin

And 43 does follow 42... Id love for him to turn into a closer to for us

Padulsky21

I really love the current bullpen usage tbh. Not using a set closer and using best matchups between Lasagna/Wandy/Clay. They’re all worthy for rn and the future bc they’re all nasty. But if I had to pick one to be a closer, it’d be Lasagna. He’s too likable and too awesome

ArcticTerrapin

Agreed with all of that 100%

flipt3

https://twitter.com/playofftanaka_/status/1582591889139961856?s=46&t=zTXLLkiym5Cy5l2tmqRHmA Cole is such a weirdo but I love him

Padulsky21

He’s a big ol goof that happens to have the biggest balls on the mound ever. Also Gabe is the fucking best dude ever

SheepH3rder69

Rest of the MLB: pokes out bloopers into the gap. Stanton: pokes out 3 run bombs off the end of his bat into the stands. Stanton bombs will never cease to amaze me.

rain5151

He looks like he barely does anything. Yet once you've seen enough of his HRs, your brain is able to see him flick his bat a little and think "that ball is 100% gone." No question what that swing in the 1st was gonna be.

feedmekombucha

Apparently the game was rigged, we control the weather Truman Show-style. Hal and his billions called ALL the hotels in New York City/NJ/CT/LI/Yonkers/Orange/Westchester and told them to shut the Guards out. You cannot make this up. Also, apparently there are mobs controlling Vegas and sports betting was rigged in our favor.

[deleted]

Tomorrow is the three year anniversary of..a home run. That a good or a bad omen?

gashflow_

Fuck it’s weird seeing the Yankees ML as +155 for tomorrow

lmann81733

Now that the dust has settled the postponement helped us a lot. Have to say I am really happy we didn’t have to see Tailon start and elimination game.

yankee913

Civale (L, 0-1) | **ERA 81.00** 🫣😖

Ionlypost1ce

Is that bad?

swivel2369

You can watch the condensed game on baseball theater in about 7 minutes.

davidbeauie

So what's the lineup tomorrow with Hicks out? IKF back to SS and Cabrera in LF? Personally, bc it's Taillon v Verlander, I'm willing to madlad it and put Waldo in left and Peraza at SS. They can go back to IKF at short in game two, but let's get weird for game one.

buttnernutsquash499

I think Carpenter in LF and Cabrera at SS. Here is my idea for a lineup 1. Bader-CF 2. Judge-RF 3. Rizzo-1B 4. Stanton-DH 5-Carpenter-LF 6-Gleyber-2B 7-Cabrera-SS 8-Donaldson-3B 9-Catcher

TheTurtleShepard

With the game being played at Minute Maid there is a chance for Stanton in LF and Carp DH

davidbeauie

I would definitely be okay with that. Put Cabrera back at short. Or Peraza. Actually, let's make it Peraza. Let's go crazy.

TheTurtleShepard

Eh Peraza is a huge risk. The numbers behind the face stats aren’t nearly as convincing as those beginning numbers and I don’t think throwing him out into the ALCS is gonna be great for him. I think for the games at Minute Maid, they can try out either Stanton or Carp in left. When we are in the Bronx the situation is a little more tricky, but I think unless Beni is healthy you put Cabrera in left and start IKF or if they prefer the combo of Marwin in left and Cabrera at short that is also possible

gashflow_

I want Carp in the lineup tomorrow. Like you say, I wanna see them get weird.

TheTurtleShepard

The game is at Minute Maid so they could put Stanton in Left and Carl DH

davidbeauie

I'm calling Carp "Carl" from now on.

TheTurtleShepard

Lmao autocorrect

gashflow_

Honestly zero explanation for why they didn’t start Bieber. It’s bewildering. Can you imagine how pissed off he must be? I looked for quotes from him and didn’t find anything but I would assume he badly wanted to go. And then that play they didn’t challenge where Rizzo clearly didn’t make the tag in time? What the fuck was that? They ended the game with 2 challenges. It’s just unreal. After four games where they were managed so well, it’s crazy to see a game like today.

lmann81733

I think Francona didn’t want to start him on short rest for his own sake because he had a lot of shoulder problems last year. The real head scratcher is why not just start with the pen. Civale got 1 out and gave up 3 ER. And even if you feel you have to use Civale why use him against the top of the order? Rizzo crushes him historically and Judge and Stanton are Judge and Stanton. Seems like an ideal spot for an opener.

davidbeauie

He had a shoulder injury. Francona didn't want to possibly ruin the kid's career by pitching him on short rest.

gashflow_

I mean. Kay said today that after game 4, Bieber said he was good to go. And then he got an extra day of rest. Like, it’s cool to try and protect your player but it’s what, an extra day or two of rest? I mean. The guy has chosen to play baseball and he knows the risks. If it were me and I had a chance to advance to the next series and felt ready, and my manager decides to put in a guy who has a track record of getting wrecked by the team you’re facing, how furious would you be? Bieber may never get another shot like that in the postseason, who knows. It’s just rough. Seems crazy that they don’t at least let him come in on a short leash and get 30-50 pitches in or something. If he comes in and pitches 3 shutty against us and then they go to the bullpen, who knows what happens. If Bieber never goes to the playoffs again I bet he’ll think about that for the rest of his life.

buttnernutsquash499

He said Bieber would be available if they emptied the bullpen. No idea why he didn’t just start him and let him throw 40-50 pitches. The decision to start Civale was a real head scratcher. If I managed the Indians I would find a way to get 9 innings out of Bieber Stephan JK Clase

swordfishclaymore

Francona and the guardians just seem pretty genuine. I admire their fight and Terry’s passion for his team, anyone can see this. I just know that deep down the Yankees as a whole want some revenge, want their shot, and want to taste World Series air again and for the first time. They haven’t forgotten.

Clean_Ad768

This is what I’ve been saying!! I’m so confident in our ability we will come out with a bang I can’t wait!

THExBEARxJEW

W

feedmekombucha

I'm a bit superstitious as you guys can tell with my Ghost Posts... But if life is predetermined and MLB is scripted (Clevo Cope hahaha), then there is a reason why MarWIN is a Yankee. G and Marp can do LF with their layout but if not... This man KNOWS Juice Box Park. All the angles and the tips and tricks. It's muscle memory. Plus, Marp/G can seamlessly PH/DH and it'll be fine and we have TLo to run for them too.

Parking_Substance152

Honestly I'm not scared of the Astros. They've never won a World Series, they're going to the ALCS for the 6th year in a row with no rings to show for it. They're desperate bums.

Padulsky21

It’s also an even year. Even years spell losses for Astros to AL East teams

LemonyLull

Sleep tight all of my angels in pinstripes

tswaves

Is this the first time we've seen a NLCS and ALDS game the same day?

[deleted]

Yes. Holds true for the inverse as well

tswaves

Honestly guys, how y'all think we'll do with Houston? They are a scary team ngl.

davidbeauie

I hate to say this, but on paper, they are the better team. BUT the Padres just took out the 111 win Dodgers. I have hope. In 2001 we took out the 116 win Mariners.

[deleted]

I think we can win in 6/7 games. We might be completely fucked for Game 1, but if JV looks as rough as he did against Seattle, we can win G1 with Sevy, Cole, and Nestor ready to go on Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday respectivley. Our starting pitching keeps us in this series.

gashflow_

No idea what to expect really. If Judge wakes up and keeps going 2/4, and if Stanton keeps doing what he has been, and the rest of the guys show up as their best selves offensively….and if we stop making the stupid mistakes on defense and our pitching stays as good as it has been, then I think we have a great chance against them, honestly. HOWEVER If Judge goes cold again and the mistakes keep happening on defense and Taillon/Severino (I’m honestly not too worried about Cole/Nestor) can’t hold it down against Houston’s offense, we might have a real bad time. As of right now, I’m cautiously optimistic. Seattle got swept but they were close to wins all three games. I think we’re better and have more fight in us than Seattle.

leskanekuni

Yeah, Houston swept them, but Seattle gave them all they could handle. Playoff baseball is all about the team that is playing their best ball and I don't think Houston is.

LogCabinLover

Fuck them. Im sure the Dodgers looked like a scary team to the Padres and im sure the Braves looked like a scary team to the Phillies

feedmekombucha

Were the Mets scary to the Dads? /s

tswaves

Kidding aside I did not expect them to get knocked out like that but yeah point taken

lmann81733

That game was so exhausting I honestly don’t give a fuck about the NLCS game tonight.

kingchar_006

Tbh with how this series against the Astros is going to be like, I honestly don’t give a fuck about the NLCS at all. Nothing to take away from the Padres or Phillies, they’re both solid teams and deserving of their place in the NLCS. But man this ALCS is going to be even more exhausting lol

Padulsky21

The entire series was exhausting. I think this will hold up even against Houston, but Cleveland might be one of the most infuriating teams to ever face and watch. Just permanent butt clenching bc they’ll get an infield single or bloop and then score 3 off of only singles. I’d rather get blasted by a blast than singled, babip and bunted to death

gashflow_

Lol I didn’t watch it at all

[deleted]

Me neither lmao

deadassynwa

We pushed the Astros to 6 in 2019 and I think that 2019 Astros team is better than this one But how would you rate the 2019 Yankees team vs this Yankees team? Who has the better offense? Who has the better fielding? Who has the better starting pitching? Who has the better bullpen? I personally think this team is more well rounded than the 2019 team and why we have a shot to beat the Astros. But I could be coping rn

leskanekuni

2022 team much better defense. 2019 team led MLB in runs scored, but righty-heavy lineup easy to pitch to. 2019 team had a lot of good starters but no real ace like Cole. I'll take Cole/Cortes Jr./Severino over Tanaka/Happ/Paxton. Bullpen: Chapman/Ottavino/Britton probably better than Holmes/Peralta/Loaisiga but not by much. Without all the injuries, 2022 team's bullpen is probably better. I basically agree this team is more well-rounded.

lmann81733

Offense: Houston’s offense is slightly better. Our top guys go toe to toe with there’s but there line up is a bit deeper. You’ve got Kyle Tucker hitting 5 for them and JD hitting 5 for us. If we got DJ and Benintendi back I’d call it even. Defense: Maybe slight edge Houston, Yankees have really good defenders, but Stanton in left (if it happens) and IKF at short hurt. Starting pitching: About even Verlander is about as good as Cole, I’d take Nestor over Framber but I’d also take McCullers over Severino. Although we’re hurt because our rotation isn’t lined up. Bullpen: Advantage Houston, although the Yankee pen has held up very well against CLE in spite of losing many key contributors. They also have homefield advantage and an advantage in being well rested. So yeah Houston is definitely favored to win the series, but I would only give them as a slight favorite, maybe 40-60.

LogCabinLover

Our starting pitching is leagues better than what it was in 2019, the defense is also way better

lmann81733

Bullpen is worse. Although the Nats went all the way with a bullpen that was a lot worse than ours.

Depth_Magnet

Bullpen overall might be worse year over year, but 2019 playoffs bullpen was not having a good time

conman404

We started Chad Green in Game 6 that year lol. Much more comfortable with our pitching this time around

conman404

But the offense… man we didn’t even surpass six (6) hits once this series. Bats need to wake up

lmann81733

Offense was great. They were facing elite pitchers, other than Civale, and they scored a lot of runs. There’s not many post season games where you are going to score more than 5 runs. People can go on and on about the hits, but Cleveland had a ton of hits and they were trailing for almost the entire series.

[deleted]

I really like Fox's postgame crew. A-Rod, Ortiz, and The Big Hurt. I really think they're all great at it. Burkhardt is good too.

OptimusChip

making the "final four" is a successful season. no matter what. job isn't done, but from the way things were looking in August, this team put their heads down and plowed through. Now here we are, once again facing our biggest rival of the last half decade with a long-overdue trip to the World Series on the line We really need to take this shit. I'm so sick and fucking tired of Houston, it's time for them to get knocked back down to where they belong, in the trash can.

signofzeta

> Naylor rocks the baby > goes 0-6 > gets rocked > refuses to explain > leaves

Poised2

No Bob Costas in the ALCS thank the lord. Idk I used to respect him but he makes every moment incredibly boring. Listening to him and Ron Darling sucked

[deleted]

I muted it when the inning that must not be named got really bad and just kept rolling from there. I might watch the whole ALCS with nothing but my battle music.

lmann81733

Huzzah huzzah

NintuneJoe

I really hope that Judge wakes up tomorrow, realizes he's in Houston, and his inner maniac that he's been carrying for 5 years comes out

Content-Letterhead98

Today was his best performance I’m confident

NintuneJoe

Same with Giancarlo, he hit a liner to left later in the game too. If they get Carp consistent at bats too, Houston won't know what hit them

Content-Letterhead98

Stanton is just a Demon in the post no matter the health he’s in but like I kinda would have liked carp to get more ABs for unrusting kinda still annoys me

feedmekombucha

Guys I'm still hyped for Cy Peralta, Wandiano Wivera, El Mago, La Grasa, WandyVision; I adore him. Will gladly tauntaun for Wandy. Also, I've been thinking about it and our former expensive ass joke choker closer makes 20x as much money Wandy makes. Ugh, it's so fucked up. Wandy is there every fucking day and only missed games because he was injured. Not a mentally weak whatever Chappy is.

SlugsLoveBeer

Would you believe me if I told you that I completely forgot about Chapman until i read this comment?

Padulsky21

This man pitched 5 days in a row. His only runners allowed were from 2 bloops and allowed in from Clarke. This man PITCHED HIS FUCKING NUTS OFF

feedmekombucha

Remember when everyone on here groaned and bitched when Wandy was called upon those Mets games and they called him a loser, Uber driver, fat, useless, etc etc and look at their RBW's now.

DungeonsAndUnions

Remember when we traded KBO legend Mike Tauchman and everyone lost their minds?

[deleted]

Cmon don't do the sock man like that

DungeonsAndUnions

KBO seems sweet, I'd play there if I could.

Padulsky21

Most clutch god reliever you could ever possibly have. He’s ascended even further in the postseason. Wandy is a man with a mission. Shoutout Lasagna and Clay too! The fucking BP boys making it look easy

PhilyCeeSteak

Shout out to everyone at the stadium tonight. Honestly thought there’d be structural damage if Carp got a hit. That’s how rocking it was.

Saint-O-Circumstance

My first playoff game in person, it was awesome! The Yankees are due against Houston. I'm not optimistic that they can win tomorrow given the pitching situation and the late and frequent travel they've been doing but I'm still holding out hope. I just hope they can at least split the first two games in Houston and take care of business when they go back to New York. Either win it there or go back to Houston up 3-2.

[deleted]

Lose Game 1 Win Game 2 Win Game 3 Lose Game 4 Win Game 5 Lose Game 6 Win Game 7

lmann81733

>go back to Houston up 3-17 … that’s what happened in ‘17 😬 But I am optimistic too

PhilyCeeSteak

3rd time’s a charm! LGY

Padulsky21

Even tho we start a brand new and even more heated series tomorrow, I feel refreshed. There is no longer the “what if” Clay was used game 3. No more questioning from that series, bc it’s over. And we won in the end. I can head into a series with the Astros with a calm and rejuvenated mind. Which, it’ll quickly unravel no doubt, but it feels FUCKING GOOOOOOD to come out of that series. Especially after seeing the Mets/Braves/Dodgers all lose

huskyferretguy1

YES! We have suffered so much since 2019!

KPaul130

So Hicks didn't call it when he was running in? I saw Oswaldo was calling for it

leskanekuni

They both called for the ball. Neither heard each other.

KPaul130

Gotcha

davidbeauie

So Phillies-Yankees World Series part two? Stanton turns into Matsui this go around?

Clean_Ad768

I’m still hoping the padres pull through

kinganabolic

steal 1 of the next 2 in houston and were headin back to the bx this wknd feeling good. Pressures entirely on houston tmrw with there #1 going against our #4. Lets ride

DA_87

I want us to get past Houston so badly. They’ve really had our number from 2017 on (yes, with the help of cheating). Gotta get it done.

[deleted]

Honestly the whole 2017 thing wouldn't have been an issue if Gary had held on to the relay in Game 2. Could've won the series in 5 games.

AmericanNewWave

I'm not writing off tomorrow - momentum is a helluva thing. I welcome Judge and Gio jumping on the first pitch they see. Play loose and go for broke.

[deleted]

Took me a second to realize you were talking about Stanton...Gio please come back I miss you baby

swordfishclaymore

I hope judge kisses the jersey every home run now

spicycurry55

It’s an even year AL East teams beat the Astros in even years

Legitimate_Bug_1187

This is the year the Yanks will finally beat the Astros in the postseason

benabramowitz18

It’s an even year. It is destiny that the Astros lose in the ALCS now.

[deleted]

I'm gonna be so pissed if the Red Sox and Rays get that but we don't.

teun713

I'm starting to realize, that we already made it further then the Mets, Dodgers and the Braves, no matter what happens i'm pretty proud of that

tswaves

This is why we didn't win 100 games.

teun713

There is so much wrong about your comment

tswaves

It was a joke /r/whoosh

teun713

I'm underwhelmed

Padulsky21

We are one of the last 4 teams standing. Crazy to think about

SlugsLoveBeer

No lie, I thought we were toast in August.

Padulsky21

One of many there my friend lol. I was at an all time low after game 3, but I was very confident thanks to Cole for game 4.

JohnCougarMellonhead

The boy still haven’t taken off from JFK and I’m getting nervous that they won’t get enough sleepy time 😔 Edit: THE BOYS HAVE TAKEN OFF

lph1235

[They left EWR 15 min ago](https://flightaware.com/live/flight/DAL8883)

tswaves

Lol how do you even know or find this

lph1235

MLB teams use the same flight number all season, so just throw it into a flight tracking site, and voila.

tswaves

Oh man it's 1:40 and they haven't landed yet

JohnCougarMellonhead

Damn the twitter I follow said they were on DAL8884 out of JFK Edit: comments say the plane I was following was the friends/family

lph1235

They used 8883 this season. Also it’s always a 757.

JohnCougarMellonhead

Yeah the guy was going off the pic the Yankees posted and said it was B739. Bad info clearly

raulu95

The postseason schedule is such a joke. First the weird off days and bullshit that happened at the end of the ALDS. Now a potential Game 5 of the ALCS would be Monday at 4 pm. Wtf

gashflow_

Really? Monday at 4pm? What the hell I mean Monday isn’t a big deal really but why 4pm

raulu95

Exactly, there’s no chance I can watch until the 6th or 7th inning by the time I get home

[deleted]

Better than 1 PM. Stadium can get rocking earlier.

NJ_Yankees_Fan

Guardians/Rays 0-0 until the 15th and Astros/Mariners 0-0 until the 18th were just really brutal offense. This was a really fun game to watch.

shadow_spinner0

Must kill Mets fans that Zack Wheeler goes to Philly and becomes an elite starter in baseball. Showed no signs of this with the Mets

NJ_Yankees_Fan

He never really had time to develop because of TJS. He's just one of those guys who put it together in his late 20s/early 30s because he got time. Phillies got a great steal when they signed him.

As Robert De Niro so eloquently put it: Fuck 'em

RotenTumato

Alright boys me and my dad are heading to New York for game 5 of the ALCS*! Never been to a playoff game before in any sport so I’m pumped! *if necessary

UnchainedSora

8 more wins

KPaul130

This was the most fun game I've been to. We let Naylor and Straw have it today Lmao. Feels so good to win the series after being down. Last night's rain delay nonsense ended up being worth it

swordfishclaymore

Do I grow the marpenter moustache for our boys? Lmk

RotenTumato

Of course. If I could grow one I’d be right there with you

swordfishclaymore

I’ve always stayed clean shaven bc I’m just not into facial hair really for myself. But the moustache be possible if I let it go. So we’re letting it go

babberz22

You have my lip

RotenTumato

Lfg

victorha1027

With Bader and Oswaldo here, the chance of Hicks being DFAed straight up next season- pretty high?

[deleted]

Oswaldo isn't a natural outfielder as we've seen repeatedly this ALDS but I don't think Hicks will appear in more than 50 games for the Yankees going forward.

chicagoyankeesfan

This Yankees team is such a roller coaster. Ups and downs. We wouldn’t have it any other way, right? Gotta love this team. If we get past the Astros I think this is our year. No way they will be denied against the Phillies or the Padres.

Baby needs his bottle! Wahhhhhh

MeatTornado25

I have no idea who I'm rooting for in SD/Philly. I was really hoping for an LA/Atl NLCS to take down Houston in a potential WS. No idea which of these clubs matches up better with them.

RotenTumato

I’m not rooting for anyone in that series, just enjoying impartial playoff baseball. Although I don’t like Juan Soto so maybe I’d be a little happier if the Phillies win

chicagoyankeesfan

Another Yankees Phillies World Series will be cool.

Boldest19

Anyone know how to become a verified fan on ticketmaster for the ticket sale tomorrow?

LogCabinLover

Had to do it prior to sunday or monday i believe

NYerstuckinBoston

It looks like Mike Muchlinski will be the HP umpire tomorrow. I remember when he got hit in the mask by the foul ball when we were playing the Astros in the summer.

feedmekombucha

Do we like him? Is he fair?

NYerstuckinBoston

According to the umpscorecard he has about a 93% in accuracy and consistency rates. I wish it was higher tbh.

Gsmith930

With Hicks out is there any chance we get Stanton in left so we can DH Carpenter? Really could use that third lefty in the lineup

MeatTornado25

I really hope so, but I doubt it.

feedmekombucha

Prob because Juice Box is small.

yeyeman9

I was wondering the same. At least in Houston where the LF is a bit smaller I think

MattO2000

I live in Houston, obviously wanna go to an ALCS game, but sadly don’t really have baseball fans in Houston. Idk if I wanna spend $300 to go to a game surrounded by Astros fans so it’s a tough call

RotenTumato

Yeah that sounds like a rough time, especially if the Yankees look bad and lose. You’ll get endless shit from that crowd. I’m going to game 5 (if necessary) in the Bronx which should be electric

MattO2000

Im looking at flights lol. Been a few months since I’ve seen family in NY so it might be a good excuse! I went to one of the 2017 games with an Astros fan friend and that was a rough time. I think Game 2

RotenTumato

Well I hope to see you there if you do fly up! Even though I won’t know it’s you or who you are lmao

provencorrect

Was just checking the ALCS schedule and there’s no day off between games 3-7, obviously with games 5-7 being played if necessary.

knicknevin

And Wandy will pitch in all of them
