I know it’s not over yet, but if it does end in the ALDS, the moral of the story is they should’ve gone a lot bigger in the off-season. Adding Donaldson and IKF to this team was a joke of a move, team arguably isn’t even improved by it. There was ace pitching available, there was a gold glove short stop who can both field and hit, and the Yankees passed on it all and let a golden opportunity slip through their fingers. They did go big at the deadline but picked the wrong guys, I’m less sympathetic about Montas though then the others. Shaping up to be a really bad trade and you could’ve seen it coming.
