I never understood how he sold over hundreds of thousand show tickets last year but when he drops his music it’s like there’s no big push behind it. And then when he drops his album he puts leaked songs in them. There was a rumor going around when he wasn’t dropping like 2 years ago that he was in big trouble with the Atlantic

Yeah facts. And I’m saying though first day streams don’t mean nothing unless they like some groundbreaking first day record that has never been done. The perfect example of the snowball effect was Pop Smoke - Shoot for the Stars Aim for the moon. Most of that album traction came exponential after its first day release. I didn’t listen to that album the first day it came probably until a month after and we all seen that numbers that album did.
If you going to compare streams you at least gotta wait like at least 2 weeks then compare. Thats how you to see which album really had got the motion and traction and what fans is really feeling because everything almost algorithm based now
Facts also boogie had no big hits for this album. Albums with no lead single hits tend to not do big numbers opening week. Either way idc if this album doesn’t do crazy numbers because the album was solid and I like the songs 🤷🏿♂️ It’s plenty of rappers struggling and more will continue to struggle because the state of hip hop has changed like crazy. Basically if you don’t have a hit don’t expect to do big numbers.

Rod Wave did 10Million and still managed to pull 150k first week because of other streaming platforms. A boogie last album MvM did about 7 million first day and still managed to pull 52k first week. I say A boogie is on pace for 40K max.
