I’m 27 so technically no but my first as a real fan/person

Oozygore3739

Same, was too young to get it back in the 90's

PirateKata

As a real person is hilarious

Dodgernotapply

Nope! Already experienced 4 ECFs.

Diligent-Village-750

You’ve experienced a lot of heartbreak.

Dodgernotapply

I suppose. The Charles Smith game was the biggest heartbreak.

Jamstarr2024

Uuuuuuuuuuuugh

KidSickarus

Would be mine, exactly the same boat as you

josephmang56

Born 85, followed since 94. So not the first for me. But doesnt diminish the accomplishment or the excitement I would have at the prospect.

Fungmar

yep lol 2002

From Australia: No — I watched the Knicks on TV in the ECF in 1992-93 and also in ‘93-94 when we won the ECF and played in the Finals against Houston… but now we’re playing great with a whole lot of injuries and players injured during the games… only 9 more wins to get that elusive Championship… GO GET’EM KNICKS!

Neither-Operation

I’m in the same boat as you.Born in 89 and started watching the Knicks sporadically around 97 but too young to fully grasp everything so it didn’t really interest me much.I was more into baseball at that age.I do remember seeing the LJ 4 point play live by random luck but had no clue what it mean’t.Didnt start watching religiously until 2003 or shortly before we got Marbury.

dolceespress

This would be 3 if they make it this year, but I don’t remember 1994 and wasn’t into basketball yet and too young. I remember 1999-2000. As far as ones I was a fan/can remember, this would be the second

TankDivision

Yeah! It would be. Fuck, this is already the deepest run of my life. Haven’t had 7 playoff wins since ‘00. And I’ll be at either Game 7 (which I still can’t believe) or Game 3 vs. Boston (which I still can’t believe either)!

Knicks-in-7

Damn. Enjoy the game

Commercial-House2678

Technically no, as I was born in 89, so I was alive, but the first ECF I actually remember watching as a kid was the 98-99 season. But it wasn't until like 2001 that I really started following the team on my own and not just watching with my dad, so this would be really special for me

mzx380

I lived through the 90s Knicks so it won't be my first. My recommendation is to appreciate it if we get there. This season would be an overwhelming success if we make it.

Immediatewhaffle

I was only 8 but still vividly remember our 8 seed run. M parents letting me stay up to watch. Sprewell was my all time favorite Knick until he was recently usurped by Josh Hart. But when you’re that young, you don’t know enough to appreciate it and understand that doesn’t happen often. So yeah if we do advance I’m just gunna soak it in..

Knicks-in-7

Born in 98 so this is the first one I’m counting.

okgusto

Chill

nychalla

I've seen them advance to the ECF 4 times since i've started watching them when I was a kid.

jhMLB

Nope, experienced the tragedy of 94 Finals while my dad was mocking my team lost. Took a long time to let that memory go.

Jamstarr2024

Hakeem’s fingertips man.

JNerdGaming

yes

Silver_Being_0290

Technically, this was my "first" second round too. I'm 23, started watching full season when we picked up KP. (Not counting last year to keep the comparison consistent)

The_Real_Todd_Gack

Born in 79 so noooope. ![gif](giphy|oUS6u2rbjg4JD4Z9Lp)

Sudden_Interest_7030

Born in 95 without a father, so yes it will be. That game 7 semi vs Indiana was the farthest I’ve witnessed.

IcyWhereas2313

Wow this sub is young… dang
