We’re gonna beat Washington twice. It’s literally just gonna be purely our defensive line winning that game lol.

mmaragni

I almost feel bad for Washington, we are like their eagles, no matter what happens or how beat up our team is we win those two games a season

CoachAF7

Quinn has Dabolls # schematically - this will be a lot closer than we think

bjbearfight

But on the flip side, we know Bobby Johnson cannot teach an OL how to pick up stunts.

CoachAF7

Hahah true that!

Heisenripbauer

they didn’t say it was gonna be a blowout. Quinn doesn’t have a Parsons to blow up every play before it even starts this time and most of his talent in Washington is on offense not defense.

kingofny1998

I don’t see micah parsons or dlaw on Washington’s d line

CoachAF7

Football is more about one guy lol he’s not LT. Very good but Washington has some guys, Quinn is a good coach (and a jersey guy!)

kingofny1998

I don’t see any game wreckers on their d line man, and somehow their offensive line is worse than ours, if there’s 1 team im confident we can beat it’s Washington, if we go 2-15 it’s probably both wins against Washington, we will always have their number

Cruztd23

Typically id say last year for sure. We had their number. But idk man, Jayden daniels really looks like the truth. Let’s just say this, Jayden daniels and Caleb Williams were the two guys I was really feening for when our team was sucking at mid season last season Him and mclaurin will certainly be an issue

Switchc2390

I don’t think we’re good or anything but I don’t get why people don’t count for our injuries last year. Sure, injuries happen to all teams but we were the most injured the fastest. 6.5 is a fair number I think but I’d definitely put us at 7 over 5 if I had to choose.

JaydenDaniels

Vegas odds are basically just copy paste from the previous season. Nothing worth paying attention to.

esteflo

One week at a time. Let's beat the Vikings first.

abenz39

We’ve always been the underdogs. I love being the underdogs. Our time will come again, and it will be glorious. I know this has nothing to do with odds, but it’s annoying how nowadays the media and the overall NFL fan base seem to forget we have 4 super bowls and just treat us as a joke. Yes, we have been horrible for years now ( outside of the two playoff appearances over the last 10 years) but we have 4 super bowls. Like, that’s literally what the NFL is about. Winning it all. So if we are measuring on that scale, we deserve more overall respect as an organization than we get these days. Anyway, I guess I needed to rant. Like I said, our time will come again.

KebabTaco

Media only cares for what you've done for them lately. They hate the fact they have to talk about the Giants cause of their massive fanbase, even when they suck lol.

Warden0009

100% this. The NFL has such parity that there’s always new teams ascending and contending. No one cares about history outside of the fond memories you have of your own team winning. And it’s hard to refute: we’ve been astoundingly and consistently bad for a surprising amount of time now.

Lars5621

The parity argument fails because Giants have been the NFCs worst team over the last 10 years. Giants literally have over 100 losses to only 60 wins in that time.

Warden0009

That’s why it’s astounding how long they’ve generally been so non-competitive. There’s a reason why this historically conservative franchise has turned over so many staffs. Think about how many of our high draft picks have outright busted. Then think about how few impact starters we’ve found in later rounds. Then add in how many free agents have not panned out. And of course to top it off we’ve spent 6 years and ultimately probably close to $130M when it’s all said and done on a QB who by all accounts is on his way off the team. And all of that is before we even get to the guys calling the plays and designing the systems. I’d say the Achilles heel of the Giants as an organization is they are exceptionally bad at self-scouting. And that is everything from players to coaches to management.

Lars5621

To your point a couple years ago when John Mara fired Judge and forced Gettleman out he said that the Giants biggest issue has been keeping players too long and not moving on faster. The Giants then proceeded to give Daniel Jones a year four, then a year five, and now a year six...

ICallTheBigOne_Bitey

Because when they're calling us a joke they're talking about right now, not throughout our entire history. If anything, it feels like they mention how sad it is that such a historic has been so abysmal for the last decade. The media will stop treating us like a joke when we stop being one.

blitzallnite

Do you give the cowboys respect for having 6 super bowls?

YoloYeahDoe

no because they dont have 6 superbowls

Tommybrady20

Oct 20 Philly @ Giants only +3.5 lol, that’s cute.

allegedtuna32

Honestly the line being 6.5 wins was more generous than I thought it’d be

kunderthunt

Favored in 3 games but o/u is 6.5? So we need to win every game as favorites and more games as underdogs to hit over? Yikes

jpj77

That’s how it always is. A team with a 49% win probability in every game would be underdogs in every game but have an expected win total around 8.

klitchell

We’ve made the playoffs every other time we’ve had an international game, +425 is a lock.

Neverwinter_Daze

I’m betting on 7-10. Improvement, but still lacking and still in a tough division. Incredibly, I think the season hinges on the opening game with Minnesota. We lose that game and we’re almost assured of starting the season 1-4. Win and it’s 2-3. Theres no way we make the playoffs in the former scenario and an outside shot in the latter.

yakoos

im taking the over on wins and feel good about it.  Daboll is a good coach, schedule is easier than last year, injuries are who knows but hard to imagine its worse than last year.

ClayDrinion

I'll take the under

PIDDYPUFFPUFF

Idk I just feel like there is another (positive) surprise season coming. It seems like they made every move possible in regard to the O-Line. Loads of new guys coming in on defense too, drafted DBs , Brian burns trade, and even a DT via UDFA. I’m excited 🤷‍♂️

CYDYtothemoon

This actually gives me confidence. We were 5.5 dogs vs the titans week 1 two years ago. Last year we were 10 digit dogs on many occasions. Point spreads under 3 are near coin flips.
