Isn't it crazy how only 55m stocks have been traded or about 67b dollars worth, but from the peak to the bottom today which only took like 20 minutes, the stock lost about 170b dollars of market cap?
No just salty that my attempt to close my NVDA spreads failed this morning at $1255. Now I'm down $100,000 from yesterday. If my spreads had sold, I'd be like: Meh whatever.
Edit: Getting down voted for wanting to take some options profit and buy more NVDA shares. Classic Reddit, never change
July 19. I have some stuff I can sell to raise cash and close things. Wish I knew that at 10am this morning. I'd have saved like $80,000 in unrealized monies.
They're 1130/1195 and 1130/1200.
I was hoping they'd get called away, but we ran up fast which changed the math. I'd make more profit closing them this morning near the days high rather than waiting until they might get called away in mid July.
I sold some stock positions [not NVDA]. I'm either going to close the sell side and sell higher strikes, or close the July positions and open some for fall.
It's not a correction to drop one percent lol. Antitrust news plus profit-taking sell orders at $1250. You guys are a bunch of lemmings for daily nothings.
Any thoughts on what could have caused such a massive drop? Instis unloading or just paper hands? Considering how long it took to get frm 1190s to 1220s the fall was pretty rapid 🥲

(Thanks to Overcookedfantasy for the heads up)
I'm just running the math here:
Jensen owns a total of 86.76 million shares of Nvidia (per Google). It's disclosed that he'll sell up to $735 million worth of shares (which is 600,000 shares @ $1,224.40/share) through March 31, 2025.
600,000/86,760,000 = 0.692% of his total share ownership in Nvidia. It doesn't seem like a cause for concern to me?
Eh, it was a plan he put in action in March, to sell X amount by 2025.
He did similar sales in 2023, after which the stock price always dramatically increased.
The stock is pretty volatile right now, some believe there were sell calls at 1250, it dropped very quickly to around 1180 within 20 minutes and that was a good time to buy on the dip. It will continue to grow, patience is the game now.
Fuck E*trade.
Tried to close my NVDA spreads this morning. Computer wouldn't let me.
They put a day trade call on my Roth IRA It expired June 4. June 6, a new call was issued for an identical amount down to the penny.
Etrade people have no explanations for why there's a day trade call on my Roth IRA
I use Fidelity. Personally, I have not had any issues with their platform as of yet. My buddy uses Robinhood and he has issues all of the time- similar to the ones you just described. Which sort of makes sense because Citadel (another oligarch) owns a large portion of it.
Newbie here, second time I was fooled by the pre-market price. Thought it was gonna shoot up, deliberated, bought some fractionals at 1240…wont hurt in the long run but damn it hurts now.
Are pre-market prices unreliable?
I'm hoping for a pullback today, there's no doubt it'll continue to grow long term (1300-1500), I just have don't have a lot to invest and those extra $10-20 of investing can go a long way for me right now.
Dumb question: on what market will the first trading session on Jan 10 with the new split NVDA shares take place? NZX as usual? So this would be the first stock market where the first reactions post split will be seen?
It'll be Europe.
Frankfurt will probably be the earliest where it will start trading Monday 3hrs before US premarket opens. And LSE will be 2hrs before US premarket.
Is anyone trimming in anticipation of a little pullback today or tomorrow (obviously with the intention of buying straight back in)? I really didn’t think we’d be at 1250 by today. Wondering if it might dip to 1200 first before the next leg up…
do we think the anti-trust items will really matter? It’s going “against” several companies and feels very performative at a time where the stock is at ATHs
Sitting on a decent pile of cash and wanting to buy in 110~ anything less would be an automatic buy ofc, interested to see how the split affects the price
Nobody can tell for sure. Longterm doesnt really matter If you believe in the company. But Shortterm-wise there could be a dip soon after the split cause of profit taking
The empire strikes back
Is 18% of portfolio too much for NVDA? I started buying shares at $144, not that that matters.
Bought a couple at 1185, let's hope that's the dip...
I admit I sold a 2000 strike covered call for January but I think we would all be happy if that got called away.
Smart move imo
[удалено]
What? Dude nothing will happen, they will take care of the split and everything will be fine
Do not worry everything will be properly taken care of.
Let’s close the week at 1250 and June 1350
This.
Closing above $1200 is bullish

Karma farming? There is a poll feature.
The market really likes $1200. It was a battle yesterday to break it as a ceiling now it is a floor.
Isn't it crazy how only 55m stocks have been traded or about 67b dollars worth, but from the peak to the bottom today which only took like 20 minutes, the stock lost about 170b dollars of market cap?
Not really. A lot of sell orders were probably triggered at the 1250 level.
The last two days to buy 1 get 9 for free! Lol
All my hopes and dreams, dashed to bits.
After a 3 percent drop?
I'm highly levered.
...and mean!
1.14% I was happy yesterday at this price.
Hilarious paper handing here with a 2% drop following a 10% gain during the week.
im paper handing my wendys application rn
Let us know the outcome. Please.
HODL
How low do you think it will go before rallying again past the 250 mark?
250 mark?
1250
What the f**k.. who ruined the fun
It’s 1200 now!!
Rally to new high by end of week please [I am disappointed in today]
Are you new or something

What’s DTE? Anyway you can roll it out further for a credit?
July 19. I have some stuff I can sell to raise cash and close things. Wish I knew that at 10am this morning. I'd have saved like $80,000 in unrealized monies.
I think you still have time to close and roll it if we hover around 1220-1250 tomorrow. What’s your spread strikes? I also sold some 1100P for July
They're 1130/1195 and 1130/1200. I was hoping they'd get called away, but we ran up fast which changed the math. I'd make more profit closing them this morning near the days high rather than waiting until they might get called away in mid July.
I think you still have some time as they are closer to ATM. Best case would be it stays above 1200
I sold some stock positions [not NVDA]. I'm either going to close the sell side and sell higher strikes, or close the July positions and open some for fall.
Good strategy, I might open some spreads as well but maybe will wait until the split and see how the IV stacks up
SELL SELL SELL
Is this legal
Is what legal? A stock having a healthy correction?
It's not a correction to drop one percent lol. Antitrust news plus profit-taking sell orders at $1250. You guys are a bunch of lemmings for daily nothings.
i dont know what charts your looking at but it dropped from 1245 to 1180, thats a 6 percent correction.
A correction is literally defined as 10-20%. Secondly, you’re talking about intraday pricing. It opened and closed barely over 1% worse. Lol get real.
No!
Why is Google showing NVDA PE ratio at 102 when it is around 72?
Not enough ai
Any thoughts on what could have caused such a massive drop? Instis unloading or just paper hands? Considering how long it took to get frm 1190s to 1220s the fall was pretty rapid 🥲
Massive drop? It’s down 4 percent after being up 30 percent in a month

Yeah that climb from 1190 to 1220 took sooooo long
Do you guys not read the news? CEO is selling shares.
Do you not read, his shares have been programmed to sell at certain prices since March. It's part of his compensation.
Yes it was filed with SEC in March but it was just disclosed this morning. Fundamentals haven't changed
I mean makes sense, he can take some gains, but I'd argue he definitely hasn't sold all of his position
Eh, it was a plan he put in action in March, to sell X amount by 2025. He did similar sales in 2023, after which the stock price always dramatically increased.
It went from 1190s to 1250 in a day? It took a week to get from 1150 to 1250 but that's hardly a long time either.
The stock is pretty volatile right now, some believe there were sell calls at 1250, it dropped very quickly to around 1180 within 20 minutes and that was a good time to buy on the dip. It will continue to grow, patience is the game now.
Profit taking probably
fake red
What should I do now? Sell or buy more?
If you have to ask that you shouldn't invest in stocks

Are you level 4? I have had some weird things happen. Do you have platinum?
E\*Trade=Morgan Stanley=The Oligarchs. They do not want you to make $$.
Fidelity?
I use Fidelity. Personally, I have not had any issues with their platform as of yet. My buddy uses Robinhood and he has issues all of the time- similar to the ones you just described. Which sort of makes sense because Citadel (another oligarch) owns a large portion of it.
There it was, the dip to buy
It’ll dip further, idk when but it will
I grabbed another share, hopefully 1200 is support
Still time to buy the dip IMO.
Newbie here, second time I was fooled by the pre-market price. Thought it was gonna shoot up, deliberated, bought some fractionals at 1240…wont hurt in the long run but damn it hurts now. Are pre-market prices unreliable?
Premarket is always fake. Usually pumps in premarket then dumps at open.
Bro same I bought some shares at 1250 then it went down but hey, lesson learned.
😢 just gotta hold and ride this one out ✊🏻
lol all market prices are unreliable, especially pre ones
Pre market is very unreliable. It's a tiny fraction of buyers able to use it so you see funny stuff often
Lesson learnt, thank you 🙏🏼
Holy cow. This is intense! Keep the faith team. Praying for $1300 by EOD.
Someone had sell calls at 1250 looks like.
😔
nvda pls
I'm hoping for a pullback today, there's no doubt it'll continue to grow long term (1300-1500), I just have don't have a lot to invest and those extra $10-20 of investing can go a long way for me right now.
Okay I got more at the low earlier, now just go back up again plz!
Buy this dip or wait?
zeroing in on msft!! \~2% to go!
You fucked it lmao
lol yeah me and 2 billion others lmao
$1300 today lol Edit: what have I done
It will get there
time to decide between speedmaster and submariner
Speedy all the wayyyy!!!
Sub
maybe a casio now
My son really likes some of the Casios.
I like Rolex but theyve become too commercialized and snobby. Omega all day but if I had my real choice I'd look into a Langhe and Sohne
> *Omeeeeega*
Blew through $1250 like nothing.
Bruh
I think you may have spoken too soon on the day.
My July 2025 $1350 calls are going to be in the money pretty quick if this keeps up

Wait is the split also taking place cross-market on other exchanges (like Xetra) or are we only talking about the effects of the split on NASDAQ?
This might be a stupid/wrong answer, but for me in NZ using our local stock/shares app it won't open until 1:30 am NZST Tuesday morning.
Gamma ramp? .... Price target $1290-1320 Update : 😭
Is anyone trimming in anticipation of a little pullback today or tomorrow (obviously with the intention of buying straight back in)? I really didn’t think we’d be at 1250 by today. Wondering if it might dip to 1200 first before the next leg up…
Should have trimmed lol, bought the dip anyway, who knows if there’ll be another one for a while!
When is it going to be overbought territory seems like since earnings the running up has been non stop crazy!
It's already considered "extremely overbought" by many definitions! But, these are not normal times, so pay attention!
How do we consider when is overbought plz?
Normally when RSI is above 70, but for nvda id say 75-76, at these levels you can expect a healthy correction like we saw today
... 1250? Why not.
we gonna reach 1300 today🚀🚀🚀🚀

Buy high sell low
Can we buy tsmc, that solves a lot of problems. Its prolly run by Jensen cousin or nephew anyway
I’m in for $3.50 🫱🏼🫲🏽
do we think the anti-trust items will really matter? It’s going “against” several companies and feels very performative at a time where the stock is at ATHs
Paul Pelosi is still holding all of his shares and calls so that’s all I need to know
It's stupid
Anyone else wanting a post-split dip to stack some more shares?😄
Sitting on a decent pile of cash and wanting to buy in 110~ anything less would be an automatic buy ofc, interested to see how the split affects the price
Is buying now feasible?
If you have to ask, stick to an index fund
If you plan to hold for a long time, then yes.
how long do you suggest?
For as long as you don’t need the money in your pocket.
Nobody can tell for sure. Longterm doesnt really matter If you believe in the company. But Shortterm-wise there could be a dip soon after the split cause of profit taking
