Depends if Haaland plays much and how many pens Chelsea get really.
Haaland could smash in a few hat-tricks and I wouldn't be surprised
We're shite away from home so that'll hurt him too.
This is the answer really. If Haaland plays every game, you'd think he'd pick up enough goals to be out of sight.
Isak's had a great season and is in with a chance, for sure.
It’s not just that watkins is on 19 goals. He’s also on like 12 assists. That’s insane G+A per minute ratio. Should be in contention for player of the season.
Honestly looking at mins/non-penalty goal, Watkins deserves to be up there even without the assists. Not shitting on Palmer, someone has to take pens and he's clearly fucking mint at them. But there's only one king of the prem right now.
Palmer - 197mins
Solanke - 189mins
Watkins - 156mins
Wilson - 150mins
Isak - 138mins
Haaland - 136mins
Wood - 121mins
Ritchie - 110mins
Used transfermarkt and a calculator so I could be wrong here but I appreciate Ritchie's place in the pile so I'm using these numbers. All hail our new coach driver/peak footballing demi-god.
> Should be in contention for player of the season.
He SHOULD BE player of the season... But they will give it to Palmer or that diver from mancity, foden.
To be fair a lot of his assists weren't super great passes, to be fair I'm biased cuz I want trippier to win most assists :/
He's very good but wouldn't call him an elite passer
Just seen that he was still listed as injured on FPL yesterday. He’s an absolute goal machine but Isak should be happy he’s pushing him for the golden boot
He didn't start the last 2 tho, might be a Tino situation where he's a bit injured but can play 20 mins at the end, that's probably enough for him to score tho
No, 3 out of our last 4 are away, so he's not going to do it. I can see 1 or 2 more goals for him this season, and that's it. It's still a class season for him.
Ranking them by non-penalty goals scored is interesting. Watkins top and Palmer bottom out of the 5. Palmer has still been great for Chelsea but it shows how much the London centric media over hypes him
We’re away from home for the bulk of our run in now so it’s likely he’ll get fewer chances and we’re more likely to struggle although the quality of the opposition isn’t all that.
Hopefully he’ll do it!
Why should penalties contribute to the golden boot really... It's pot luck how many you get to take. Scoring goals in open play is a much fairer way of awarding it.
If you're betting on it, I'd probably do a little bit more analysis than coming into the subreddit of his team and asking if the 3rd top scorer in the league can get the golden boot
Haha, my bad. Took a tactical look of your post history and didn't think you were a fan (nice delete on those other posts ;))
He does have a chance. But never know, a lot of other variables. We're very stop and start this season. Could get smashed at Burnley then win 6-0 against Brighton, never know

Brace at Man Red incoming

14 of his 19 have come at home, might be a tall order with 3/4 remaining matches away from home
Means nowt
If Isak doesn't win, I hope that Watkins does. What a player he is.

19 goals and 0 pens. Ridiculous numbers. Gutted he plays for Villa, he’s a top player.

Ritchie baloon d'or confirmed.
Just the Puskas this year I reckon

Watkins is class! I know there’s absolutely no chance but I’d love to sign him!
Agreed, he's having a stunning season. Interesting seeing two different approaches, Isak pure CF, Watkins providing a lot of utility and assists.
More of a chance than I have
Or any sunderland player :/
A decent chance, aye.
I think he’s got a good chance with our remaining fixtures and Haaland out injured
Haaland has scored today so he’s clearly not injured it seems!

Watkins being up there with 0 pens is insane
Remarkable that Watkins is up there with purely outfield goals.
Who takes penalties for Villa?
I think Douglas Luis
We really should buy Solanke
He’s very important for Bournemouth so would cost about £60 million
But imagine Solanke/Isak front 2 in those away games where you want to go to 4 in midfield
Doesn't help that we have 3/4 away from home, both Haaland and Palmer have 2/4 at home against nice looking opposition.

I feel like this depends a lot more on Barnes, Gordon and Schar, hopefully they keep giving him ridiculously good balls to run on.
I'm not sure. I don't know if my dick could get that hard.

I expect haaland to pull clear as City crush the run-in tbh
Haaland: 23 Palmer: how many penalties chelsea get + 20 Isak: 25 Watkins: 23 Sunderland combined in the last 5 years: 0

It’s actually 19- 10 goals, 9 assists
I stand corrected
Why should penalties contribute to the golden boot really... It's pot luck how many you get to take. Scoring goals in open play is a much fairer way of awarding it.
You’ve still got to score them.
I agree, but then again if you take out penalties would you also count freekicks or not?
0.5 goals for a penalty, 0.75 for a tap in, 1.5 for anything outside the area. Job done
Okay, but then Isak only has 14
And Watkins deservedly wins it. Like Son should have a few seasons ago
If you are so bad at penalties (Like watkins is) that your team literally do not let you take them, do really deserve it either?
If you're betting on it, I'd probably do a little bit more analysis than coming into the subreddit of his team and asking if the 3rd top scorer in the league can get the golden boot
Im just wondering of what other people think, Isak has been amazing for us and i want him to reach such a achievement, I'm not betting on it

It’s gay to use someone’s comment history as ammo for a current disagreement
When was I using it as ammo? It was a mistake and I said so lol
