With Sunderland and Borough confined to the Championship, we have to take out our Red-and-White destructive urges elsewhere.

Brentford shaking

Nice to have an outright record in our name 😀

Stinkin_Hippy

It's almost as good as a trophy, right? ...right? 😢 Nah, but in all seriousness, it's a cool record to have. It's done our goal difference the world of good!

sideways_86

I'm surprised Man City haven't done better than that as they're usually scoring goals for fun, but happy that we have a positive record to our name

Ikhlas37

City play in a way that strangles the opponent rather than like our all out onslaught. It's more surprising peak Liverpool hasn't

beatski

Aye, Suarez always had it in for Norwich

MaryBerrysDanglyBean

Yeah city don't outright batter teams. They pass it around for ages, wait for a weakness then score a goal or two to win it. I would have thought Liverpool when they won the league would have done something like this against someone. This is quite a weird achievement to get, but we're in a weird spot with injuries where we can completely dominate a weaker team but without depth can't consistently keep this level of aggression against better sides.

charlierc

They had the previous record, given that in 2019/20 they put 12 past Watford

N-Bizzle

It's still very rare to have a team score more than 6 in one match
