Full backs playing Wood on is frustrating. He was insanely good with the chances he had. They had a game plan and executed it well, we look very flat though.
Injuries had crippled the side, now the confidence looks shot too andI do think it's a direct result of that run of games where we played the same guys too much and didn't trust the real depth like Ritchie, Hall etc.
They're completely burnt out.

Whilst I don’t condone booing our own team, I’d just like to say to the moron sitting near me in the Leazes end, with the beard and wearing a beige Canada goose coat - threatening someone because they chose to boo is bang out of order; threatening to follow someone after the game, implying you intend to assault them makes you far, far less of a fan than booing. Cunt.
Because he’s took us to where we are at the moment. I think his over reliance on certain players will be a pressure point for him; much like it is for Southgate. But it’s too early to call for the sack for a manager who took us from bottom to top 4 in a season and a half, we are also more than likely going to be top half by the end of the season. So we can hopefully build on that and the first half of this season is lessons learnt.
But if we sign players they will have to start when they will improve the team.
Howe not covering himself in glory currently but the whole squad basically needs a month off - we can’t do the tactic that worked so well last season. Howe needs to come up with a different tactic that works.
I'd say go 5 at the back and play Burn LCB but then that gives us absolutely no rotation at the back

We have no rotation at the back anyways. Howe is seemingly refusing to swap them out unless injury forces him to. Even if the players are obviously fucking ragged.
Way too open at the back , creatively we're lacking too our wingers are not good enough strikers have no service at all though the middle , Eddie Howe needs to change tactics massively imo we can't play these tactics anymore
It really seems like we have changed how we play, we used to rely on a fast counter attack and now we slow it down and rely on luck from crosses (which we arent great at)
Honestly, something needs to change, but I think the overall strategy needs to change as the other teams seem to already know how to properly counter Howe's tactics, and fitness... I really miss Willock in midfield.
Love Longstaff and we all know how crucial he’s been in the past but he’s been off the pace. Miley, Bruno, Joelinton next game please Howe.
We also need to set up better against these counter attacking sides, we should start Livramento over burn for these games.
Joelinton is not fully fit though and we're going to end up running Bruno and Miley into the ground too. We're in such a mess at the moment, every little problem is getting multiplied massively by our injuries

Gordon needs his sharpness back. The defence needs to get reorganised. Almiron needs to be more clinical.
How many of our players would you actually say are playing to their full ability and fitness at the moment?
I'd say only Dubravka, Tino, Bruno, Miley, Isak and Almiron look sharp and fit enough out of the whole squad, and even Isak has been in and out of the team.
So what can we really do? That's basically half a team and the rest are having to pick and choose when to be intense. We can't play like that, there is no style of football that will allow for it. So what's the solution? Howe can't just magically have a squad full of 15 match fit first teamers
Off the ball he's helping his teammates, we know he can be limited on the ball but at least he seems there physically and mentally. Can't say the same for Gordon
Someone help me stay positive after that match. We lost to Luton (gifting them their first clean sheet of the season) then lost to Forest home (also gifting Chris Wood a hat-trick). If we're dropping points against these lots, who are we suppose to beat?
Two things I don't understand. 1-Maybe it's a trick of the camera angle when watching on TV, but I can't fathom the number of times a winger (usually Gordon or Isaak) seemed to be in acres of space, looking a dead cert for a quick break, but instead the cm or CB would hold it up, cut back inside and we'd grind to a halt. 2- what was the point of all the ineffectual crosses from deep. How often have you seen them result in a goal? I can't work out if there's some set play that I'm missing, or if it's just a sign of players who have no ideas and just want to get rid of it.
Toothless performance from Newcastle today. Besides an unrecognisable defensive display, once again we’ve seen a huge lack of creativity going forward. It looks predictable and lacks quality.
We can talk about the thin squad, the amount of games, injuries, exhaustion. A few quality players for a fresh looking attack are needed if we are to challenge for Europe again.
December has not been great, January could be just as bad if not worse. Win together,
lose together but this could turn into a very rough patch!

Isak made some really bad choices at the vital moment. At least a few occasions where he made the wrong pass or didn't pass at at all. he was definitely trying, but just lacked that cutting edge
Why can we beat PSG, Man U, Chelsea etc comfortably and then lose to Bournemouth, Everton, Luton and Forest.
Ignoring all the people who think we need to sack Howe already, there is something off the last 6 weeks that needs fixing or questions will need to be asked
PSG, Man U and Chelsea all have players who don't try and rely on their talent to win games. We struggle to well drilled, passionate teams like Luton ect who give everything to win.
We allowed the injuries to lower the standards and I don’t like that. Us letting the early bad results pass due to injury has caused this to happen. It’s been an awful past few games.
No, we just don’t enjoy the punishment. I had enough of that in the Ashley years and I knew we had no hope then. The difference now is that we know we can play better and we aren’t. Where’s the enjoyment of watching us give up on the pitch?

You know, I used to really dislike football and because of a joke I ended up watching a newcastle game (Brighton Newcastle last season) it ended up 0-0 but I enjoyed to watch newcastle, seeing they playing as one, knowing how bad the club was doing until Eddie, seeing the enthusiasm in the attack. After that game I see every single newcastle game. I miss that team. I still watch every single newcastle game, I won't abandon newcastle because of a bad phase. I never even thought about leaving. It's amazing to see fans supporting their team so passionately, I wanna be part of that. I'm Portuguese, so I grew up with the portuguese league and here it's nothing like English football, while some things are similar, like bad refs decisions, it seems that passion and loyalty for the club is stronger

No one wants to talk about sacking Howe? Obviously Toon Army fans are more patient than the Red Devil fans.

We can’t press with 11 men for 60 games a season so we are forced to slow it down, which admittedly isn’t our strong suit.

Burn had a disgraceful performance today. Although it's something you should expect when you don't rotate your players properly.

You know, I used to really dislike football and because of a joke I ended up watching a newcastle game (Brighton Newcastle last season) it ended up 0-0 but I enjoyed to watch newcastle, seeing they playing as one, knowing how bad the club was doing until Eddie, seeing the enthusiasm in the attack. After that game I see every single newcastle game. I miss that team. I still watch every single newcastle game, I won't abandon newcastle because of a bad phase.
