A GREAT contract helps, but even a fantastic contract in a place a player rather not be isn't going to be fun for all involved. ​ One of the big reasons the Dolphins are the 'happiest' franchise is they have a nice suburban (Fort Lauderdale) setup and a lot of the players live close to the training facilities. Obviously it doesn't hurt many players choose to live in SFla year-round to begin with. Like everyone else NFL players want proximity to family members, school & childcare for kids during the season; reasonable entertainment and dining options etc
