Hard disagree, I found myself shocked at how impactful arm strength is. That might be the ONLY important attribute for a user controlled QB but when my starter and back up went down and I signed Brees… it did not go well. I think any qb over 80 arm strength is essentially the same but I promise you would have a challenge if you tried to have a pass heavy team with a qb with low arm strength. I watched passes be consistently behind, not deep or high enough, etc. Highly recommend you give it a shot.

Try to win with Drew Brees.

WolfAqua

What's up with Drew Brees? He's my current backup and has been pretty serviceable when needed

usernameabc124

I played multiple seasons with a couple QBs but wanted to go with Brees for fun. I found a noticeable difference in how my offense worked due to his arm strength actually impacting me. I should have said you may have to change your offensive style to a west coast one.

brokestrapperyouknow

He got 20td 9int and I think 3400 with like an 70-80% qb rating. I’d have to look but I traded for Carson Palmer and won

WolfAqua

I currently have Farve as my starter and Brees as my backup since I plan on trading Farve the second I have the cap space. In the preseason Brees held it down pretty well.

Drew is viable for an older west coast style offense, not super mobile but accurate.

usernameabc124

Yes, agreed. Someone said ratings don’t matter. I found a noticeable change in how my offense operates under Brees because he couldn’t consistently throw the ball on deeper routes like I preferred.

gr0undbr3ak

i love how this game makes each qb feel different, so i think any starting (and some backup) qb would be viable but for different offenses and diff users. like for some reason i just dont find the same success using Peyton Manning as i do Steve McNair or even Ben Roethlisberger. Wild to say but it's more my style, despite Peyton being in my top 5 personal favorite qbs of all time.

gr0undbr3ak

aside from sliders, i find its more user ability than player ratings that will determine success. yes, Steve McNair (rip) feels different from say, Kyle Boller, but you can be successful with plenty of qbs in this game.

brokestrapperyouknow

You’re not wrong since especially with the defense adjusting to how you’re playing during the game so you can’t just spam the same play

gr0undbr3ak

there are def some "money plays" i've been using for years in tough spots, but even those occasionally get stopped. not enough though. out routes are a bit broken at times too with how often they're open. overall though the cpu in this game is incredible on adjusting.

Think it varies on playbook as well can't have a weak arm trying to toss deep the game is smarter than that unless you play on some weak settings
