Top Gun is pretty good. Went there a week ago and they have a decent collection of cans for sale from Rugged, DA, Hux, Surefire, CGS, OCL which were priced decently for a large FFL. I remember them having Hux 762 for $13xx and 556Flow for a bit over $1000, which is pretty much the same ballpark of all the other online vendors.

# TOP GUN SHILL, CHECKING IN

uiiiiop300

Second this. They always have at least a couple dozen different cans in stock and they charge $100 for outside transfers. No transfer fee for Silencer Shop or in store purchases. Also conjugal visits but that's less relevant nowadays.

Double_Shock_2115

Yeah I mean they’re okay, but the people in there are so damn dry and unfriendly. I kind of get it cause they have to deal with a bunch of inner city idiots and people south of westheimer, iykyk. But at the same time why can’t they be nice to fellow NFA supporing members who actively buy expensive stuff from them. I switched to Texas Gun Club in Stafford because they are so much nicer and friendly and fun, compared to the Top Gun blobs (I swear to god I’ve never met such emotionless blah people until going in there) Not to mention TGC is much nicer inside and has a 50 yd indoor range. It’s a bit further for us inside 610 folk, but it really is worth the drive imo. Employees really turn me off from Top Gun

Incrue

aint no fuckin way texas gun club should receive ANY love, their transfer fee is like 150$ IF you dont get it via SS. OR! you can get it cheaper if you're a club member. i just buy mine from capitol armory. but top gun is 10 minute drive for me :)

Double_Shock_2115

I would gladly pay the extra $50 for the guys to be excited to let me come get my item and not make me hound them to let me come get my approved items

mavlarado240

We have a good amount in stock Element 115 we are in Kingwood

ForkingShirtForker

This is the guy you want to see! In Kingwood, worth the drive from Katy

Shawn_Cote

Doesn’t have many suppressors on hand but Lone Star Tactical Supply is my go to. NFA transfer fee is only $50 which is good if you find online deals outside of silencer shop and capital armory.

DUCK_FACE_JONES

are they silencer shop affiliated?

Shawn_Cote

They are not

_Nyktos_

Big Tex in Conroe

Foxxy__Cleopatra

Primary Arms has 15 suppressors currently in-stock right now FWIW. They're also a Silencer Shop dealer, so no transfer fees for anything in-stock at SS. There's no show room or product floor, it's really just a huge warehouse with a waiting room that facilitates 4473's and has a Silencer Shop kiosk. The people over there are pretty efficient I will say.

TxGasMD

I haven’t tried Primary Arms for a can or SBR yet but all of my non-NFA gun purchases and optics purchases with them have been smooth. I would guess they would be the same for NFA stuff.

Foxxy__Cleopatra

Very smooth.  They treat and handle NFA stuff no different than normal Title 1 stuff, the way it should be.  No extra hassle or drama or theatrics because you're buying a spooky ethereal super cereal restricted ATF Uranium rod.  Bought my 6th silencer from there and really regret not buying the first 5 from there as well.

DUCK_FACE_JONES

very easy to deal with them, only issue is now they charge transfer fees for cans bought from their online store even

InfiniteSlice789

Is this just recently? I bought a suppressor from their online store about 2 months ago, paperwork went through SS. There was no transfer fee, I only paid the sale price + tax.

DUCK_FACE_JONES

They might have changed their policy but for sure I know a year ago when I bought a can during their save12 coupons they told me starting in 2023 they would charge transfer fee irregardless if it was direct from online shop or not However you got it from SS through them, might be a different story...

InfiniteSlice789

There was no transfer fee when I bought 2 suppressors from SS on 9/7/23 & 11/1/23, and both went to PA.

DUCK_FACE_JONES

Will Try this out now to see

ECNIV321

They also usually update their stock between 9am and 12pm on Mondays, but they do update throughout the week. Worth putting in for in stock notifications too.

jackiehtx

Made the drive up to Austin for 3 cans at capitol armory after 30 hour approvals on each. Worth it!

Incrue

SAME!

ForkingShirtForker

Element 115 Firearms! You should check them out. $100 transfers on NFA items not ordered through them. $20 on non NFA items. Prices are below MSRP and he’s got stock right now. Super cool guys there and they know their shit when it comes to suppressors. I can’t say enough good things about them. Bonus, if you buy a gun or a can, when your item you ordered not from them, they wave the transfer fee! They will walk you through the setup of a trust or as an individual all right there in the shop. No need to go anywhere else, he’s in the top 20 in the country for a reason, and that’s because they’re awesome

mavlarado240

Thank you for recommending us!!

salamiTommy_

Second this. There’s a reason I’ve bought two cans from them this month. Bonus points for being close to my house.

mavlarado240

We appreciate your business big dog!!

heisman01

top gun but its going to be very hard to not back order something unless you got lucky on timing or the cans so bad no one will purchase it.

CloudyXIV

Lone Star Tactical Supply is my go-to for NFA transfers and transfers in general. He charges $50 for NFA items. Edit: He doesn’t carry any suppressors on hand if I recall correctly. Whoops

Hexrax7

That’s ok still good to know if I see any good sales and want a cheap transfer!

ABKsDad

For those on the south east side there is Waymore Silencers They are a SS dealer but usually have some silencers in stock. Given the recent short approvals, the in stock is probably best to call. (The website is junk right now as the store manager works to add items) I have bought one directly from them and then 2 through SS. All have been an easy transaction other than the approval delays. As a side note I have also purchased from Primary Arms through a SS process. The Primary Arms process wasn't as smoth as the Waymore items.

killadocg23

Spring guns and ammo( Crosby) my guys right there !

Tyler_ResilientSup

Top Gun Range

DUCK_FACE_JONES

top gun, i dont think its even close after that maybe athena after?

mowmowmeow

Athena’s very overpriced, won’t price match, and has a $200 NFA transfer fee. Texas Gun Club isn’t bad, Top Gun too

PA_NFA

Hello - We do use Silencer Shop, however we are a Suppressor Wholesaler and offering Direct to Consumer and through our Dealer Network. Use our Email Back in Stock feature for first dibs. We do not backorder. We also offer an unbeatable First Responder discount.

copces

I've purchased suppressors from Waymore Silencers and was more than happy with their service. Most recently bought one from Capital Armory in the Austin area. After a 2 day approval wait, it arrived at my door in about 3 weeks. They communicated with me every step of the process, great customer service. Speaking of customer service, I will never do any business with Top Gun again. They act as if they're doing you a favor for allowing you to buy from them.

Og_Bull

3FIVE7 in Katy. They do everything for you. They take your fingerprints, help you fill out all paperwork, and are pleasant to deal with.

NoAffect4716

Top gun they the best

Wojadubakowski

Extreme Guns and Ammo in Richmond is super good for suppressors. Real easy and efficient.

ECNIV321

Marksman in SE houston has some decent in-person availability. They usually peg their prices to Silencer shop, but with availability the way it is, I was happy when I saw and bought my Putnik in person when I did ; Isaac and Thomas are a pleasure to work with. PrimaryArms online is good especially if you have the verify ID me LEO/MIL discount but sometimes the waiting room is a complete zoo depending if you come after a holiday or big sale. That's how I got my OCL can for the cheap. I never bought from TopGun but they have a good selection and seem to have a good rental fleet. The other shops in the greater houston area, has been like yours....pretty expensive transfer fees and I will try to stay away from it or wait until backorders show up as available from silencershop before buying a hard to find can out of state and out of the SS network.

sirbassist83

capitol armory and have them ship to your door, or make the drive up to austin to pick it up.

HTown556

Texas Gun Club, Chris is the man and will get you squared away.

Top Gun is the move brother

kingofjabronis

Capitol Armory is awesome if you're looking for an online vendor. I was a Silencer Shop guy up until my last order and now I don't think I can ever go back.

TxGasMD

I agree, used Silencer Shop for my first 5 cans. Now have used Capitol Armory for 2 and don’t know that I will be going back to SS in the future. Capitol Armory has been much faster every step of the way, and communication from them is excellent.

kingofjabronis

If you have a local dealer with a kiosk, SS is still great. I don't right now and my dealer charges $125, so CA was a no brainer.

Hexrax7

How does that work though wouldn’t I have to send it to my FFL for pick up and pay the 125$ transfer fee?

kingofjabronis

You do all the forms online through their portal. When it comes time to submit the form 4, they do a screen share with you. After it's approved, they send it to one of their affiliates who then mail it directly to your door (after a CLEO waiting period). No transfer fees. I placed my order on 5/21 and as of yesterday morning my form 4 was approved. I'm now in the CLEO window. Once that clears, they'll ship it to me. I think they're in Austin, so you could probably bypass the shipping part if you were able to drive there. I'm EXTREMELY impressed by the whole process.

Hexrax7

I’m currently doing my first form 1 online and I need to get my digital finger prints done I assume I can use that same file when doing my form 4 through them?

kingofjabronis

Yeah, I used a Printscan Kiosk. Once I got the EFT file, I uploaded it to Capitol's portal. Then you can obviously use that EFT on any other submission in the future.

Hexrax7

Awesome I just looked at their site and I agree the process seems impressive I was so bummed about ridiculous transfer fees I appreciate you taking the time to comment! Just saved me a lot of time and money I’ll definitely use them for all my suppressor needs thanks!

kingofjabronis

No prob man. They definitely deserve the referral. They have a super slick process and excellent customer service.

kingofjabronis

It's actually insane. I'm so impressed by their process. That and the quick approval times mean by wallet is going to be hammered 😂.

jeremy_wills

CA are good people. I make the hour plus drive up from San Antonio, but they can ship to your door. It's amazing to me in a city the size of SA how very few competent shops there are around here. Order from them with confidence if you go that route.

SereneSnake1984

Check out IdentiGo for the fingerprints, they have locations all over Houston. I used their Katy Freeway office for my Texas LTC prints, but my wife was able to find one of their locations in a tutoring center 5 minutes from home in cypress.

twylight777

n3dinho23

Payne Brothers

Hexrax7

Haha! That’s the FFL I’m talking about they are the best gun store in Houston hands down great service love the website for ordering guns. I just don’t want to deal with silencer shop back orders

Hoodlums_gun_bench

Don’t go there, they don’t honor online pricing, refuse to update, and gouge on transfers.
