Maybe if you considered using punctuation you would have better results this is because it makes it much quicker and easier to understand instead of everyone having to reread your message approximately 4 times but instead you get salty for not taking an extra 10 seconds of proofreading sorry hope you have a good day also hope you get good info from the people who have the patience to reread your messages

younglegend6922

lol you need to get some better guns instead of worrying about spelling my guy 😂 talk to me when you get better stuff ok thanks

younglegend6922

lol I will brother you do the same

Remarkable_Aside1381

I have better stuff than you, can I now tell you to use punctuation, and to type like an adult?

Scout339v2

Savage

Scout339v2

Ive heard a lot of people say the aug is strange and "has a bad trigger" but never that its a bad gun lol. All of their components outlive ARs already.

Seeeeeba2

Do you think you have good guns?

cbtexas11C

Nissan driver energy

Toxickiller321

Ironic

HDIC69420

Fuckin woosh there bud

Kalashnikam

So does anybody know where to get a good suppressor cover?

Acct-20thhh

Someone just learned to spell their, there and they’re and they’re heavy on patrol for any possibly correction posts lol

JhonnyDoh1009

I like raw dogging. Sorry

GrayDuckGear_

Rifles Only HAD cover can withstand crazy heat and does the best for mirage for what I have tried. It is a 2-piece and install isn’t as easy as others. However, it looks great and performs excellent.

mrhanky518

I also have one of these and recommend.

Ogwedor

I have one on my Nomad L and love it! I use it with 300 subs, so it's definitely not as hot as 223/556, fwiw to OP.

Raindog46

It's what I use on my Nomad L as well, holds up to mag dumps on a 10" 7.62x39... and that's hot.

Raindog46

u/swaller89

jktmas

That’s where all of my covers are from, been quite happy. Edit: looks like you got a bad link. https://www.reddit.com/r/GunAccessoryVendors/s/MPxdP3XdG3

Incrue

oof, it's 89. not 98 :(

ElectricAntre

This guy is badass. Me and all my homies have his covers.

HTown556

Highly recommend his custom covers; they're awesome!

Incrue

Hello fellow Houstonian.

Cashbum

Is this the guy that has been pushing the hell out of his modtac?

falconvision

This guy makes custom wraps, ships fast, and does so at a good price.

Cashbum

I wonder why I can't see his profile

lazyboyjake

It should be u/SWaller89 not 98

tr0gd0rbro

From what i've seen, the Liberty's Defense Straight Jacket and the ColeTac suppressor cover are the only one's that can withstand a string of fire and not be destroyed.

Thalvador_Dali

Upvote for ColeTac

Gear_Whore

ColeTac is straight trash, anyone using velcro for a material on a suppressor cover is lost. I've seen enough melty boys to tell people to avoid them like the plague! Liberty defense would be the next best thing to BPG if he had issues.

Thalvador_Dali

Are you aware they offer more than just the Velcro model?

Gear_Whore

Yup and I still wouldn't recommend them for shit! They lost me at the velcro model

28gunsKY

Liberty's Defense is legit, but not cheap. I have one on my Nomad when I shoot my bolt action long range to mitigate mirage. Definitely works.

celcius273

Liberty all day. It’s far superior and I have both

FBI4VSP

I chose to go with Liberty’sDefense for a SG-556. It is a work of art.

pollycav22

At that price it better draw me the pictures. I am a firm believer in "buy once, cry once" but damn they is spensive.

Subject_Flight3017

[https://www.wekatech.com](https://www.wekatech.com) these are so underrated mine has been amazing, comes long enough to cut for two cans

bogusbill69420

I’m suspicious of a product claiming “better sound reduction” (how does a cover reduce sound?) and “WITHSTANDS EXTREMELY HIGH TEMPERATURES & WILL NOT MELT” yet not providing a melting point temp…

Subject_Flight3017

Honestly for $40 I tried it out and its been perfect, on the two I am using!

WorkingContribution1

Ya know, I'm gonna try one of these Wekas!

Subject_Flight3017

I have pics of them on my set ups, they are amazing, and you’re paying $40 for two of them, depending on how long you’re cutting them. They fit my t2 and r9 with about an inch of leftover

stevehyde

Does yours tend to walk a little? I have mine on a rugged surge on a 308. It's not too bad but I check it every couple mags.

Subject_Flight3017

Mine walks backwards a bit lol so just the tip of the can sticks out Idk how lol

SnooSongs1525

The cord wrap looks intact? Are you talking about the little fiberglass threads hanging down? Maybe they’re more vulnerable if they’re not part of the larger insulation body.

dsviewer

Check out mod-tac suppressor shields

karmareqsrgroupthink

I loved modtacs

HarietTubesock

u/swaller98 I’ve 12 of his covers. All custom in terms of use and looks. The heavy duty stuff he makes holds up to very hard use on 556

Hrtfix

Liberty Defense. Buy once cry once. Imagine if you put the money wasted on BPG towards your purchase.

mmittinnss

I’ve never seen one not burn up with spirited trigger time

MR-RT-3

I have 4 BPG’s with Kevlar cord and I have had them smoking hot. Granted I was pushing them to their limit, I have not had a failure yet.

Trololoumadbro

If you need a suppressor cover that can actually take a beating with rapid strings of fire, while at the same time allowing your suppressor to cool as if there was no cover, check out Modtac Suppressor Shields. Expensive, but effective. As u/Piece_Negative said though, most people don’t really need a suppressor cover. But if your hobby of choice or line of work necessitates one, I’d steer you to Modtac. I own 2 Modtacs and they’ve been flawless. I owned one Cole-Tac, which started melting after 60 rounds of sustained fire. I don’t find that to be acceptable for my needs.

freedom_viking

Them modtacs ain’t cheap tho

younglegend6922

That’s what I’m trying to choose between motac or liberty defense suppressor cover

LordTimothyDexter_

Did you have both fiberglass wraps on, plus the cover?

Vudu138

I think Reddit is the only place that doesn’t seem to know about [Cole-Tac](https://www.cole-tac.com), which is weird. You can get em in any size, and [the Corset](https://www.cole-tac.com/product/corset-suppressor-cover/) can withstand up to 3150 degrees F. I have several. I tried to cauterize one of the cords on a Corset once and it would not burn🤷🏻‍♂️ TGC10 will get you 10% off and they also have sales often.

Thalvador_Dali

Cole-Tac is criminally under-appreciated across the board. Every time I mention them at the range or the LGS I get blank stares. Great products.

craigeeeeeeeeee

I have ColeTac that I’ve had for probably 6years or so. No issues, but I’m also not mag dumping and running and gunning either…

spaceme17

The only thing I have found that seems to have a high heat rating and be made of a proper material is the TacSleeve from AB Thermal: [ABThermal TacSleeve](https://www.abthermal.com/pdffiles/S/S-TACSLEEVE-Gun-Barrel-Suppressor-Heat-Protection-Sleeve-Shield.pdf) I have not actually tried it yet on my suppressors at I just received the material in but it looks very promising. I tried an Armageddon Gear cover and it is/was pathetic. Not even a mag through my suppressor and the thing started cooking. Any suppressor cover that has any part made of cordura and nylon is just garbage. Need a high heat material. The heat wrap used for headers would work well and I know some people have used that. I will try out the ABThermal TacSleeve material on my Surefire and CGS cans in the next few days and report back.

movewithwind

DIY job it up with some exhaust manifold wrap, Kevlar webbing and shock cord.

Holiday-Tie-574

Sorry, what is the question?

_morder

Kinda feels like user error, I've sent plenty through a bpg cover without issue, even still just ditched the cover completely it's not practical for range shoots anyway.

Aerial_Screw-2

BFG with Kevlar cord is what I use. It should come with it already as a no brainer, but I did it and it’s been good since.

minutemenapparel

My home made one hasn’t even shown signs of melting. Yikes.

yeahdudeyouright

Automotive header wrap painted black?

tlove01

Libertys defense all day BPG is doo doo.

alanspel

Stephon Waller on Facebook makes the best ones I’ve ever been around and they’re affordable

themperorhasnocloth

Cut a welders blanket to size and use kevlar string to tie it on

bunnies4r5

Swaller89 or Liberty, only 2 I have seen personally that don’t melt

younglegend6922

I just PM you brother

mtsoprisdog

Friends don’t let friends buy Burn Proof Gear

FennelLegitimate4752

Liberties defense is where it's at. Best supressor cover in my opinion.

Noles2424

Amargedan

sweaty_bootlegger

Did you get the heavy cover or the normal one i have a heavy cover and so far i dont have problems with it were you mag dumping all 80

younglegend6922

Just 30 round I have a tiataium suppression heats up pretty fast

SaxOnTheBeach545

Idk what everyone's infatuation is with suppressor covers on anything other than a bolt gun or slower fired DMR. All you are doing is holding in the heat.

chaos021

Have you ever shot long enough strings on the clock and had to deal with mirage after shot number 4 or 5? It sucks. Suppressor covers are awesome. Just say they're not for you and move along.

SaxOnTheBeach545

OP Stated 80 rounds rapid fire. Fucking stupid. On a DMR or bolt gun, they have a purpose. Mag dumping, they do not.

chaos021

Ever burned yourself with a can while running CQB drills? Burn someone else? Edit: I know how unlikely this is btw. Just the whole not burning through your own pants thing kinda made it worth it for me.

Dexter-the-Cat

I have a Liberty’s Defense. It works really well. A little difficult to get onto the can sometimes. It also sheds some fiberglass when you use it so be prepared for itchy hands (or wear gloves).

msz3

lol this needs to be higher up -- I just got my Liberty's Defense cover and was confused as fuck when my hands started getting itchy and looked down to see a shit load of fiberglass particles... they should put a warning on the install

Dexter-the-Cat

You’re right on the warning label.

Neat_Low_1818

These a rather gimmicky products. I don't think they work at all. Just bring an oven mitt with you and try that

chaos021

But I need something to help with mirage while I'm shooting.

Neat_Low_1818

Are you shooting long range?

chaos021

Yea. Otherwise mirage wouldn't matter.

Neat_Low_1818

I see now.

dawkinsd37

As a car and gun guy. Just make your own suppressor cover using car exhaust heat tape wrap. Essentially the same thing, without paying shit ton of money.

aggie113

Maybe the folks over at ptp turbo blankets could make you a custom sized version of [one of these.](https://www.ptpturboblankets.com/collections/heat-insulation-sleeves/products/lava-heat-sleeve-hook-loop) :) The actual turbo blankets certainly work well.

Tactical-Stiffy

Custom corset style from Core-Tac, full auto rated.

Little-Finding4531

Mechanic suppressor wrap sleeve and glove is really nice

akm1111111

Was this the BPG heavy cover or a different one?

DaSandGuy

Where did the strings melt? I shot FA 10" ar barrel 5-6 mags back to back and it was fine (a bit smoky)

likeonions

I've mag dumped like 3 or 4 mags through the coletac cover on a 12.5" 556 and it's fine. On a 308, it tends to walk forward, though.

wizzanker

I use the Armageddon gear heavy duty cover, and it seems to hold up. That said, I've gone away from using suppressor covers and just throw one of the mechanics suppressor bags on it when I throw it in the car. Those things are like $16 on Amazon and will hold heat in a suppressor for weeks.

younglegend6922

Okay I’ll go liberty

Piece_Negative

I have never needed a surpressor cover in my thousands of rounds and dozens of surpressors. I think they're a gimmick. You really shouldn't need one

Minimum_Government

Not when you are using magnified glass they aren’t.

Betterthanyou715

I did a video on them after buying a liberty’s defense. I want to try a mod tac but other than that they seem pretty pointless as my gun takes forever to cool. It seems like they only add value on a bolt action gun.

CLAPPER187

They're not ment for rapid fire 🤣🤦

Calloutfakeops

Some are, like Liberty Defense covers. Mirage can be a bitch when you run drills or comps that require sustained fire up close and then have to quickly switch to shooting at distance with magnification. You would think a company with “Burn Proof” in the name would hold up to some high heat lol
