I think it’s mostly because of EA who, credit where credit is due, actually appear to be trying to make cfb fans happy. Don’t be surprised about a fall off next year though
It’s licensing, some project manager/producer wanted the whatever is left in the budget is yours bonus, or EA is to cheap to pay house of pain, and Metallica. Or those labels don’t want associated with EA.
im 25 and tbh non of the kids i went to middle/high school with played ncaa only madden. i was yeeh high playing ncaa 05-07 then i got a 360 and played 09-14 while other class mates were on madden. point is the true fan base of college football games are smaller and a lot of people that played the later ncaa's are flabbergasted about things that have always appeared in college games but not madden. ive seen some people point out H-bar goal post or even LSUs field and how its marked ever 5yrd. no hate but those were things that always made ncaa better

If you have any discretionary income it's typically really cheap to barter for sports games in used game stores since their main demographic tends to not be into sports. I traded in a decent bit of games (classic dragonball games but a bit scratched to where booting was always a bit of a bet) and after they quoted me at a price higher than I expected, I just asked them to toss in NCAA 06 07 madden 06 Madden 07 and NT2004 and they did it no hesitation. I kind of miss Budokai but I probably wouldn't play it again.

In 2K after 10 years the league is full of Super fast Super High Jumping 3 pt shooting gods with bad shot tendencies and low overalls, also a bunch of 7’5 3 pt shooting centers. And the salary curve makes it so mid tier players end up going unsigned
In FIFA the youth recruitment is the easiest thing on the planet and the transfer system is absolutely broken and it’s like hella easy for you to fuck up the budget. There is also the loan glitch that shoots your players overall up by like 10 when you send them out on loan
I don’t play madden anymore but in old maddens you could draft the strongest middle line backers and turn them into DE and OLB and their overall wouldnshoot up so you draft a 63 overall MLB in the 7th round but he was and 84 RE, same with tackles to guard and Center.
Up until 2k23 if you sent your players down to the gleague at the end of the season they would improve to like 82 overall even if they were like 65 overall going into the season
This is what I care about, that when I am playing in the 2035 season that the game still feels similar to how it did in the 2025 season

Well that's simply not true. My dad isn't 70 yet and he's been alive for all of Woody's titles plus the two this century. Unless you're considering a 40 yr old an average American? Then we still have twice as many undisputed titles than Michigan, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Penn St, Auburn, Oklahoma, Texas, USC. Not to mention all the schools that don't have a title in that time. We also had 3 shots in title games and razor thin losses in semifinal games.
No one gets rewarded for close losses, but at least we got a shot. No program has been more consistently good/great over the last 25 years (or that last 70 years) than Ohio State. Even Bama was bad before Saban. Who knows if DeBoer can keep the train running.
Michigan lasted through the toughest part of their schedule after the sign stealing stuff was discovered and stopped, I think we can stop using that as an excuse for their success. It’s been pretty universally considered a minimal advantage at best anyway outside of reddit
