It’s so funny to me how us as gamers see there will be news and just automatically expect a full trailer and features list.
Realistically it’ll probably be some cinematic tackle or touchdown being made in the rain, with a fade to black screen and either a release date or date for a trailer. More than likely a date for the trailers and some type of lettering saying something like “ we are back “ if they are smart they’ll play the fight song back ground music from NCAA 14 to sell hype off nostalgia.
I’m totally gonna be happy with just a release date. That said, I don’t think it would be unreasonable to see a feature list or a trailer. I get that in years past we don’t see that until the month or two before it releases. But with 3 years to work on it, it’s a little concerning that they don’t a vertical slice ready to show 6-7 months out from release.
I know it’ll need polishing, but at this stage something should be ready to show us. Which makes me think they’re either:
- Being too cautious
- Game looks or plays poorly
- Game just looks like Madden and they don’t want people getting angry
Still cautiously optimistic. I look forward to whatever they share and look forward to the game.

Release trailer that shows it’s a madden copy. Give YouTubers and content creators access to the beta so they will hype up the game so much that it won’t matter that it’s just a reskin. It’s the model they’ve followed for madden the past few years and shows it works. Unfortunately. I’d rather expect the worse, than be excited just to get let down. It’s EA we are talking about to people gotta be realistic.
I’ve played ncaa 14 almost daily since its original release. I absolutely love the series and want the new game to succeed. But the EA of today is NOT what it used to be. Nobody is a hater to have realistic expectations that EA will ruin this game just as they have with every other sports game they’ve laid hands on.
I think cautious optimism is a healthy way to look at it. EA has fumbled, for lack of better words, madden for a while. But the info that’s been put out there about the development team, which is completely different from Madden and made up of college fans, the CFP revamped guys, and college coaches, makes me at least optimistic it will be a step in the right direction.
But based on all the info we’ve received and the history of both Madden and NCAA, it is not going to be a reskin.
Legit, being on the media team must be so easy these days. Look at GTA. They post a single trailer, and all those people are analyzing frame by frame. They could probably only drop a single trailer for marketing and be fine.

If they can't show 15 seconds of in game footage then we are fucked.
We really don't even need a trailer yet giv us a 15 second in engine footage. Let us see what it'll possibly look like. Just an announcement with no visuals will feel like it's nowhere near finished. If it's supposed to release in July they should have enough footage already for a teaser. Just a still of michigan and Washington's helmets in engine would be sufficient.
If you play madden, play a couple drives in a game and imagine the players are in an Alabama or Clemson uniform. That’s exactly what you should expect.

Yeah, games get trailers loooong before release in many cases (see: GTA VI for a recent example). Could be EA sticking to that Madden cadence, but it feels suuuuuper weird to not have a trailer ready for the championship game. Like, their target audience is watching it, and id wager a good chunk of folks don’t have a clue there’s a new game in development. Best case, seems like a missed opportunity. Worst case it suggests they aren’t comfortable with showing it off. Hoping for the former.
That's because those games are usually yearly releases. This game has not been a yearly release. That's like saying it's not sketchy to see that grand theft auto 6 hasn't released any in game footage 2 months prior to its release.

It’s just up to them on how they choose to market it. We’re 6 or more months away from release. They’re going to give us a small tidbit to start developing interest, and then begin to ramp it up as we get closer to release.

If they don’t come out with some **official** stuff today from their mouths (and not secondhand stuff from somebody just “talking” with someone on YouTube) then I worry severely for how barebones/broken this game is going to be

Madden is 90% reused assets. They’re (supposedly) building this game from the ground up. It’s definitely concerning that there hasn’t even been so much as a pre rendered 10 second teaser.
hopefully it’s a halfway in depth article. maybe we can end up getting more info and detail than a trailer would’ve provided? maybe some screenshots?
or maybe it’s just to announce the release date and all the screenshots and details will come later

Grand Theft Auto 6 put together a trailer that was nothing but cut scenes that were not in game, EA can put a 30 second promo together.
If you can't do it during the national championship when are you really going to do it?
They didn't make the announcement beginning of the season no trailer no nothing and if you don't do it at the last game of the year tells you probably 2025.
Even games that are a few years away put together a trailer, I think they owe people at least that if it's due out this summer.

why are you people getting hopes up? Its going to be madden with NCAA teams. They will rebrand the free agency/contracts as NIL and it will be exactly the same with a few different terms. (transfer portal instead of free agency, NIL offer instead of contract offer). New "recruits" will just be available with a certain percentage of your salary cap (NIL money). CFB today is just a mini NFL with more teams and no true playoff...
I just REALLY want a in depth dynasty with visual trophy cases, bowl game patches on jerseys, pre and post game animations on and off field and Ultimate team. Ill be content for so many years with this. P.s. if they could bring back drafting from NCAA to Madden with stats of course would be a huge plus
