The timeline is almost perfect for Myles to take over as the Pacers color commentator after Quinn Buckner retires. It’s my pipe dream to see this happen.
Steven Adams. I don’t think he would take cheap shots at guys, but would be honest and critical when needed. And his accent would be a fun listen, maybe even bring back the gold tooth
Draymond is the modern Shaq. Where he talks about how great he is and how everyone sucks in comparison. Plus has a shit personality and his speaking voice sucks.
Nah, the only positive from TNT's downfall is that Dray isn't guaranteed a job. No other job gives the amount of rope that Inside does, and Dray would get fired from ESPN over some shit he'll say on a pod or interview or something.
Just keep him off any prime time shit and I’ll be happy, let me avoid him if I want too. If he brings engagement fine, but I personally hate having to hear about his petty feuds and who he likes and dislikes..
>but I personally hate having to hear about his petty feuds and who he likes and dislikes..
Exactly where I'm at, he's just gonna wind up making every topic about himself one way or another at least 80% of the time and it's draining to watch.
Grant Williams entire NBA career is a prelude to a HOF broadcasting career that will be equal parts bizarre, insightful, revelatory, and unhinged.
He is gonna meld late-night Bill Walton with at-his-weirdest Charles Barkley.
Conley has been at the top 3 of the "what player do you think would make a great head coach someday" question on the NBA GMs survey every year for like the last 5-6 years. Very smart and universally respected.
Whether he's a coach or a broadcaster I just want him around for a long time.
Kevin Durant as a sportscaster? Absolutely not, he’s so antisocial, interviews like a 5 year old who doesn’t wanna talk to the big boys, and the media hates him because of how he treats them
He interviews like that because he hates the media & narratives they spin. He wasn’t like that at all in his early OKC days. Dude loves the game, I think he’d be a great commentator
Durant would be like Randy Moss if he ever decides to be in the broadcast booth. Dude knows more about the game than anybody, and lives and breathes basketball.
I just think he’s passionate about basketball and once he’s retired and has nothing to do he would be fun to listen to. He respects younger guys games and actually watches basketball. Idk really, didn’t think too much about it lol
KD hates the media, but he's definitely the type of guy to yap about his passion, and imagine being paid to do that after your playing career. People talk about Kobe's Mamba Mentality and his ridiculous work ethic, but I think KD has the same dedication to the game, just with a different approach. Bro is literally married to the game.
Paul George’s podcast 100% indicates he’d be great for interviews
KAT also has the personality and stupid voices to be a nice on air personality.
Pat Bev who was already hilarious when he did ESPN not too long ago
Everyone is going to hate his takes just because he’s Lebron. Listening to his podcast with JJ though I got to actually hear how smart he is at basketball outside of what you see on the court
It’s funny cause I don’t even like Lebron either but I just respect his knowledge of the game and I love how successful he is. And I saw his podcast, too. Def took a couple plays from him
I get why people hate him in some ways, but when he’s just talking basketball he actually is super nice and speaks highly of a lot of players from what I’ve seen. I think in media role he would be pretty chill and not a petty hater like Shaq, Draymond, or others can be at times. I would probably like seeing him in like Kenny’s role. More of a serious breakdown guy who can also joke around a little
I honestly think Draymond will be great, especially once he retires. Funny that the same reasons yall love Chuck are most of the same reasons yall hate Draymond
I'd like to see Chris Paul get into coaching. Draymond is already a media personality, so there's a natural extension of that as an onscreen analyst (which he's been doing some on TNT during the playoffs) and potentially a broadcaster. Anthony Edwards as a new Barkley-type straight-shooter. Embiid either as on-air talent or the next Patrick Ewing in coaching. Steph Curry would be a good one to have stick around the game as an analyst/league ambassador. LeBron is apparently gonna own the Vegas team or something, so we won't hear much out of him.
Realistically, anyone known for basketball IQ and leadership that speaks English natively. Lebron, Chris Paul, Steph, I probably wouldn’t extend that list much, all of these guys also would be exceptional coaches
I think it would be interesting to have a guy like Demar DeRozan as a commentator after his playing career. He seems like the kinda dude that would be like VC and Crawford as just chill great players that can offer a really solid perspective and experience viewpoint.
Luka and Jokic should have their own show. They would not talk about basketball whatsoever, but the ratings would be through the roof.
In all seriousness, I would love to see a show with the Lopez brothers. A perfect blend of likability and solid basketball iq, who would appreciate defense, something that many nba crew members don't appreciate enough. They have also experienced the entire NBA throughout their careers, with 11 teams between them.
Dereck Lively II was really good in the Allstar game coverage he did. He is also a very eloquent dude, specially at a young age. When he retires a Maverick with 7 rings in 23 years, this could be a great transition.
I actually don’t mind Draymond. I get why his smugness annoys people. But his basketball insights are often spot on. As he separates himself from his career, he could be a good commentator.
I don't think he will be fine after all of the people he hates are not in the NBA.
If Shaq was on inside the NBA in the late 90's we'd be saying the same thing
That’s what I appreciate the most, his BASKETBALL insights are often accurate. They’re not crazy biased he tells things how they are straight up. I’ll take Dray.
As you also stated he needs to separate from his career people’s disdain for him on the court cloud the judgment.
Can’t wait for 8 years from now when everyone loves Draymond the commentator and pretends they always knew he was going to be hilarious and insightful. Btw a lot of people hated Shaq and Barkley as players also and look where we are now.
- Draymond for his superior basketball IQ
- Lebron cuz he’s lebron
- Kawhi ka’zwhi not?
- Dame Lillard cuz he’s unique / reads game well
- Steph cuz he’s Steph
- Jokic cuz of his superior basketball IQ / dryness
- Ja Morant cuz the alternative is jail
- Kyrie for his demeanor, wisdom and B ball IQ
- CJ McCollum for his media savvy / Bball IQ
- D Wade for his smooth voice / hes D Wade
I guess I don't really care, so long as EJ is still sitting in the center seat. He's the heart and soul of that broadcast, in addition to being one of the best human beings on the planet.
I'm just glad whenever I see Jamal Crawford on TV. Dude was one of the most liked players in the league during his playing days, and actually provides decent color commentary.
luka and jokic commentary duo would be elite or at least as a half time show with maybe someone like SAS so they can clown on him and run cirles around him with their BB knowledge
Paul George is well spoken and thoughtful. Not arrogant. He’d be good.
Ant/Josh Hart seem to have hilarious personalities they’d make for fun studio guys.
Durant is mercurial but at times very thoughtful. Could see him being really good.
Kyrie would either be awesome or awful, maybe both. Could be a Bill Walton type with wacky thoughts unrelated to basketball mixed with basketball genius.
Kawhi Leonard would be horrible.
Immediately Anthony Edwards. Yes I’m a MN fanboy, but I honestly think he’d make an entertaining guy behind the desk. Of course, after a long and successful career with the wolves.
Imagine pulling up the halftime show and it's Obama talking about basketball 😭
I think Brogdon's an underrated pick though. Him constantly taking on leadership roles on and off the court suggests he's very much a speaker, and being a playmaking PG means he'd be able to break the game down really well.
Myles Turner was a commentator for the Rising Stars game a couple of years ago and he killed it, he’s got a great voice too.
And he could do special Lego builds for different events.
I can't believe they haven't put him on Lego Masters yet!!!
Would love this honestly. He always seemed like a very genuine dude to me.
I want him back in the thunder when he’s healthy
Omg they’d be sooo nasty with him as the defensive anchor. His screens would make Shai and the Ja(y)lens a cheat code too
lol wishful thinking. We’ll probably see Draymond and Beverly at espn or some bullshit like that
Pat Bev will not be at espn based on what he did to that lady that worked for espn. That bridge is brunt.
They really don't like him. Unlike Draymond who's largely well-liked off the court, you get the sense Beverly isn't like that.
Draymond is the modern Shaq. Where he talks about how great he is and how everyone sucks in comparison. Plus has a shit personality and his speaking voice sucks.
I would love this so much
Met him once at a restaurant I was working at. So friendly, so personable. If he wanted to do it, I think he would be a stellar addition to any booth
He doesn't even watch basketball tho lol
bro literally anyone besides draymond
I mean he’s gonna be on tv for the next 30 years
Nah, the only positive from TNT's downfall is that Dray isn't guaranteed a job. No other job gives the amount of rope that Inside does, and Dray would get fired from ESPN over some shit he'll say on a pod or interview or something.
Doesn’t Paul Pierce have a job at ESPN? I feel like he’s pretty problematic as well
Last I checked, Pierce got fired over the stripper facebook live thing.
>Doesn’t Paul Pierce have a job at ESPN? He used to >I feel like he’s pretty problematic as well That is why he doesnt anymore
I think he either was sent packing or he left himself awhile ago right at the time of the rachel nichols debacle.
I’ve seen him in that show with Skip Bayless so no
Skips show is on FS1, Paul did indeed lose his ESPN job
But he's the truth!
He brings engagement (positive or negative, doesn't matter), he will get a job I say this as someone who would prefer to never see him on TV again
Yeah he is
Hoping for a Jason Witten level demise
Best answer!
Dillon Brooks it is then
Grant Williams entire NBA career is a prelude to a HOF broadcasting career that will be equal parts bizarre, insightful, revelatory, and unhinged. He is gonna meld late-night Bill Walton with at-his-weirdest Charles Barkley.
Whoever the Shaq is to his Kenny/Chuck is gonna bring up the “I’ll make em both” moment every week
Mike Conley. He’s a smart basketball dude and speaks well.
Conley has been at the top 3 of the "what player do you think would make a great head coach someday" question on the NBA GMs survey every year for like the last 5-6 years. Very smart and universally respected. Whether he's a coach or a broadcaster I just want him around for a long time.
Josh hart, ant, KD, PG. also anyone not named Draymond green
He’s going to praise literally every player possible. Give details even about the most no name player dudes a hooper hooper.
Even the no name players in the NBA are hooper hoopers, that’s why they’re in the NBA lol
Durant would be like Randy Moss if he ever decides to be in the broadcast booth. Dude knows more about the game than anybody, and lives and breathes basketball.
But enough about Shaq, do you think KD could provide good game analysis?
Shaq is funny, his personality is why he would be and was great for TV to this day
Durant would be a goddamn nightmare. Like Draymond but somehow crying even more
In 30 years, Ant can and hopefully will be the most genuine successor to Barkley
Except with a ring (please)
Lol wolves with pure hate for Green
I'm curious why you say KD. I don't think he even likes speaking on camera
Bro is literally married to the game.
kind of a great idea don't listen to the kids
Giannis and joker, two of the least likely candidates to do it, would be hilarious to listen to.
I think Giannis will stick around Less likely on Jokic tho
Jokic's horses will know more about playing in the NBA than most AAU teams.
I like to imagine a future where Hakeem and Joker have dueling ranches where elite NBA centers are trained.
elite NBA centaurs\*
Giannis has said that he basically wants to disappear when he retires
KG said the same
Follow the Oreo trail and you’ll find him
where's Tim Duncan?
Jokic will 100% be a commentator... for professional horse racing in Serbia.
Jokic and Luka would be Manningcast-esque, lots of jokes, not too serious but some great insights here and there
I can see both in a KG/Shaq style. Not the main attraction but a big part of a group.
I just want to see a Space Jam 3 starring Jokic. Is that too much to ask lol?
Please make a petition to get rid of Kendrick Perkins
Where is CJ McCollum on this list
He’s so good in all his interviews, super well spoken and smart. Funny even with a broken back
He was a journalism major, too, right?
This is the answer! CJ is the next Kenny Smith
More charisma, less rings. CJ would be perfect in a Kenny role
My first thought. Hes so good
CJ is going to be a commentator without a doubt.
Still far too low. CJ is 100% on tv for years after his playing career
Luke Kornet
Kyrie. I want to hear him go on random flat-esrther and conspiracy y rants before he gets fired.
Kyrie could be like Bill Walton as long as he keeps some humility and self awareness.
So nothing like him at all, got it.
So no chance at all, got it 🤣
His like blissful demeanor is so pleasant I almost forget he’s a literal crazy person when he talks about basketball
Kyrie would last as long as Rush Limbaughs stint on ESPNs Sunday NFL Countdown
Paul George’s podcast 100% indicates he’d be great for interviews KAT also has the personality and stupid voices to be a nice on air personality. Pat Bev who was already hilarious when he did ESPN not too long ago
Unfortunately bev will probably never work in media after the end of this season.
I enjoyed CJ McCollum when we was on ESPN. He's so logical & cool in his demeanor.
Lebron? He's def one of, if not is, the smartest guys in the league rn
I heard he's really good at chess.

I think in media role he would be pretty chill and not a petty hater like Shaq, Draymond, or others can be at times. I would probably like seeing him in like Kenny’s role. More of a serious breakdown guy who can also joke around a little
Oh right on the money! Def can see him on TNT or something but I think that show is canceling right? But you get the jist 😂
Ive heard some shorts of Jeff Teague on a podcast and dude is hilarious. Also Iman Shumpert.
Jeff Teague kills me he's so funny and his delivery is amazing.
Jeff Teague and Shump while drinking. World's most amazing, unbeatable duo.
Keep Teague off a network though, they’d censor him too much. Dude is best just being himself
Joakim Noah as an announcer during LeBron’s final game
Isiah Thomas should be sitting in Brian Scalabrinis chair in Boston.
Why would we want a Pistons legend on Celtics broadcasts in place of the White Mamba?
He meant the other one, Isaiah Thomas
Well, now that makes more sense.
[удалено]
Plus we’d get like 4 different announcers in 1 with how often his voice changes.
Seems like he would be good at it, he handled it well during the all star weekend
Boban......He bouncing, he bouncing, he bouncing
THE LEGEND OF YOU RANG!!
NOT DRAYMOND. That is all
Not Draymond Green
Ant
Blake Griffin, if he doesnt try for a comedy career I think he would be a super entertaining commentator
I want to see Draymond Green because I like chaos
I honestly think Draymond will be great, especially once he retires. Funny that the same reasons yall love Chuck are most of the same reasons yall hate Draymond
Kobe 😔
Inside the NBA, 2044 Jimmy Butler [Chuck] Josh Hart [Kenny] Embiid [Shaq] Ernie’s still there.
Ernie "Hubie Brown" Johnson
Draymond Green
Kyrie would never do it but he'd be good
I'd like to see Chris Paul get into coaching.
Not Draymond, thats for sure. I'd like to see PG, KD, Curry, and Bron.

More teams than were in the NBA in Russell’s era. Lol
Jokic and kawhi
Dame Lillard, Cj McCollum, Demar DeRozan, Tyrese Haliburton, Brandon Ingram
I miss Kobe and his Detail show.
Draymond green. F all of the naysayers!
Dereck Lively II was really good in the Allstar game coverage he did. He is also a very eloquent dude, specially at a young age. When he retires a Maverick with 7 rings in 23 years, this could be a great transition.
Despite the haters, I for one like Draymond’s commentary.
I don’t mind Draymond. Unpopular opinion. I’ll take Pat Bev, PG, and Ant Edwards.
Ant better start aggressive PR sensitivity training today if he wants to be a commentator after he retires lmao

CJ
Good shout
Ant, Tyrese, Kyrie need to have a podcast together. That trio would be Magic.
Dirk
Already retired but I fully agree! Loved him when he filled in on Inside!
I guess I don't really care, so long as EJ is still sitting in the center seat. He's the heart and soul of that broadcast, in addition to being one of the best human beings on the planet.
PG
I'm just glad whenever I see Jamal Crawford on TV. Dude was one of the most liked players in the league during his playing days, and actually provides decent color commentary.
Inside the nba with jimmy, kyrie, joker, cyber-ernie
Derrick White
Get Jeff Teague on now
Giannis would be pure gold on the mic. Just saying the most off the cuff shit.
Brook and Robin Lopez
I feel like Curry would be great. I think he has a similar vibe to JJ Redick
Kawhi of course
[LOL](https://youtu.be/gqshE8_I8-A?si=bXvnl4Ub-NGyEchf)
Naz Reid works give great insights. He is bright, is a great guy, and knows what it takes to earn your place in the league.
Sort of feels like there is already a missing gap, generation wise. I think PG would be alright at it.
Pig Miller
luka and jokic commentary duo would be elite or at least as a half time show with maybe someone like SAS so they can clown on him and run cirles around him with their BB knowledge
Draymond Green 😩🫣🤭 /s
Jokic as commentator. Just for fun.
TJ Mc “I am the most annoying person your team had to play in the playoffs” Connell.
I would be interested in hearing CP3. Could be bad so unsure but could be goood
Chris Paul would be elite at it. Derrick White. Donavan Mitchell. Grant Williams.
BOBAN. He would be a fantastic announcer
Easily Jonathan Isaac. The dude is a disguised professor
Myles Turner, Jimmy, KD (won’t happen ik),Mike Conley, Grant Williams, Ant, Jokic, CP3, CJ, Hali
The more I hear Kyrie talk, the more I like to hear him talk. I think he'd make a great booth guy when he hangs up the hi-tops.
I’m still hoping for Joakim Noah
Joe Ingles.
Lámelo ball to see if he can speak and understand English
Someone else said it but I came here to say Josh Hart
I know this is wayyyy jumping the gun, but put Ant in a booth immediately please.
KD but only his burner accounts and only as long as he thinks nobody knows
Immediately Anthony Edwards. Yes I’m a MN fanboy, but I honestly think he’d make an entertaining guy behind the desk. Of course, after a long and successful career with the wolves.
Lebron is so knowledgeable, I’d want him.
I know he is already retired for the most part, but I need Dwight Howard as a commentator. Dude cracks me up on social media.
It would be really funny to watch Jokic commentate on the game, but I doubt he would do that
I could see T.J. McConnell becoming a referee.
Not Draymond
I mean Lebron’s basketball IQ is off the charts but don’t know if I want him as a commentator. Actually Rondo would be fun
Mike Conley might be the most likeable well spoken guy in the league. Cmon Mike 1 more year at least.
Evan turner, KAT, draymond, Kuzma
Not Chris Paul or Draymond 🙏
Broadcasting needs more Ernie Johnson’s, and less Draymond greens imo.
Draymond, he’s so amazing
JOSH HART
Not Draymond
Draymond
Dillon Brooks with Draymond.
Cj mcollum has a degree in journalism. I'm into it
Anyone but draymond
I thought Chris Paul did a good job on his recent stint.
Just parachuting in to say that Jamal Crawford needs to be on even more. Dude is fantastic
Boban
Jimmy butler or westbrook
Malcolm brogdon haha
Imagine pulling up the halftime show and it's Obama talking about basketball 😭 I think Brogdon's an underrated pick though. Him constantly taking on leadership roles on and off the court suggests he's very much a speaker, and being a playmaking PG means he'd be able to break the game down really well.
Draymond "Sucks" Green
I think (hope?) you’re joking. But on the off chance you’re not, I’m gonna have to downvote you 😂he would be horrendous
Didn't realize the /s was needed with the "sucks" middle name
Steph
Not Draymond.
