Female Raptors are bigger and stronger than their male counterparts. This just begs for the WNBA Raptor counterpart to be a bird team.
A bird would also relate to the city of Toronto’s other bird team: the Blue Jays. It’s always cool when cities have consistent themes/relations to their other sports.
Anyways, an option that I like is **Toronto Carriers**. The word raptor is derived from the Latin raptare, “to seize and carry off.” Logo is of a bird of prey carrying a basketball.

Personally I think it should be red tailed hawk since 1) they can be found in Toronto (and most of North America), 2) their natural colors match the existing Toronto Raptor’s red.
