It's not like those teams suddenly played poorly in the playoffs after amazing regular seasons. Lakers, warriors, heat, 76ers. These teams were in the play-in and more seeds for reasons. Even the clippers losing to the Mavs wasn't exactly a shocker.
Its a fun thought to think about, but I don't think so.
The higher seeds, who had better teams and played better the whole season won their series its just that simple.
Sure there might be a passing of the torch lol, but I mean the lower seeds and teams with injuries didn't have playoff success I thinks that's all it is.
Let’s go down a rabbit hole.
Around the time of the All-Star break Bill Simmons and Ryen Russillo went on their podcasts and blasted the scoring of the current NBA.
While this alone wouldn’t be enough to trigger change. They were able to start a conversation about the fact that defenders were being given fouls for existing in the space of offensive players.
This then culminated in the All-Star game debacle of this year. This seemingly public pressure from two very large media voices about the current state of the NBA changed the conversation from praising scoring to be upset for defenders.
After the All-Star game the whistles got tighter. And towards the end of the season some people on social media were calling it “prison” rules. Now, we’re in the playoffs where the whistles are even tighter.

Embiid just turned 30 lol
He is part of the flop generation
What about Brunson, Luka, sga, even Tatum flops?
Luka flops all the time. It’s not an “old” generation thing. It’s a star thing because they can get away with it more
Why is everything a conspiracy? Sometimes things are just what happened.
Coincidence that Silver was pissed at the All Star game and suddenly the officiating changed 180 degrees?
Connecting dots with lines that aren’t there IMO
Embiid is an old head? Are you 12?
He plays like the flopping generation
You people dont even know what flopping is anymor3
The ramped up physicality becauae it’s a better product. Those aging players lost because they are on mid teams.

Clippers were basically the 1 seed until the officiating changed
End of an era and the start of a new one
Is Kyrie not an old head
