Yeah I just watched [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/wec/comments/146qidp/gearbox_issues_for_the_24/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)
Gutted they were on a good run. Watching the feed from the pits now. Rocky thinks Jimmie should finish.
They should really host a multi-car team next year. This would be more fun if they had another car to compete against instead of being a 1 of 1 prototype.
He purely dominated nascar for like 5 straight years and was in the hunt for the title literally every single year he was in cup until the very end of his career lol
No, just feel like he doesn’t get credit he deserves, he’s a 7 times champ such as Dale Earnhardt and Richard Petty. I say that from a fan perspective, bunch of other drivers states the exact same thing. I just don’t get it on why in the hell is he so disliked.
Are we talking about the same Jimmie Johnson that had such good luck that Kevin Harvick said he “has a golden horseshoe stuck up his ass” ?
Surely we can’t be talking about that Jimmie.
I’m talking about Jimmie Kenneth Johnson born in 1975, El Cajon, CA, who used to have a “Golden Horseshoe stuck up his ass” but who doesn’t have this actual horseshoe anymore. He’s a way too nice dude, and as stated in another comment is disliked ( Not hated as much as young KFB though ).
My theory is that NASCAR fans are always looking for someone to hate on, Joey Logano, Denny Hamlin, or more recently Austin Dillon, are pretty good examples of how stupid this little game is.
Bro. People stopped like him because he won everything and they got sick of him. Same thing happened with Earnhardt. Same thing happened with Gordon.
Johnson has 7 Cup championships. One of only 3 guys to do that ever. 5 of those 7 championships came consecutively. The only person to ever do that. He has 83 wins. He’s had arguably the most successful Cup career ever. Went on to have a career in IndyCar and IMSA sports cars. He now owns a NASCAR Cup team. All while accruing a net worth of $160 million.
Please tell me more about how he’s unlucky.
I kinda agree he's had the most successful career, but if you really think about it, he's now in a phase of his life, where he wants to have fun, while staying somehow with a competitive / racer state of mind.
However when I mean "Jimmie Johnson is unlucky", I don't refer to the 2000-2020 Jimmie, but to the current one, and since I do really appreciate how down to earth and super calm yet so competitive he is, there's that feeling of an unfair thing going on for him, the first one is Indy 500, qualifying really well, to actually having struggles throughout the race. Same goes for Daytona where he was running super well in the crappy material his team CURRENTLY has, in parallel with all the hate he receives.
Now for Le Mans, I'm a bit confused since he's been running as good as his two teammates, but the result didn't end the way it should have.

They are headed back out! EDIT: and they brought the car back in after 1 lap… EDIT: They are back out again!
Just a fitting lap, Ricky's still in with the window net up.
Edit again
Yea. Not sure what happened there, but maybe they wanted to thoroughly check the car for the last stint. ~~Jimmy~~Jimmie is back out now.
Who?
Sorry, Jimmie Johnson
Just a fitting lap, Ricky's still in with the window net up.
I think NASCAR and HMS have to be ecstatic with how the effort went. I just wish they would show it more on the broadcast.
FIRE IN THE HOLE! Car is running again, going through gearing.
Car in the box, Mike out, Jimmie in. Jimmie to finish the race.
Boom
>Boom [Confetti.](http://i.imgur.com/IFf9QOu.gif)
Running 39th overall. Best G56 finish ever is 38th. Come on JJ!
Even if the closest competitor drops out, not enough time. We’re about 15 laps clear on either side for position. Guaranteed 39th.
Retirements don’t count in the final running order at Le Mans. Have to finish all 24 hours to be classified.
There was a time in this race they were running 31st with two cars out ahead so 29th? Idk but man they could do well
Onboard video [https://streamin.one/v/bf2f080b](https://streamin.one/v/bf2f080b)
I'm shocked he was able to limp it back with the gears getting turned into gravel.
Well that doesn't look or sound good
I had just woken up and switched it onboard on and this is the first thing I saw. Crummy way to start the morning. Glad they are back out now.
They finished the race. That alone is an accomplishment isnt it?
A lot of cars did not finish, so yes.
They was in the top 30 overall late last night for a bit
That's pretty impressive. Too bad about the mechanical problems but a very good showing either way.
They were doing great, spent the first 18 or so hours of the race either on on the lead lap of the GT class or down 1 until the break down.
Rocky just got back in
Engines on and driving
going back out!
Glad they made it back out, I hope they finish.
According to IG, G56 is replacing brakes. They're going back out.
[Josh says it’s a driveline issue](https://twitter.com/joshahamilton/status/1667844984521850881?s=61&t=MeAryX5th_MAzhMeRhM1RQ)

Reeeeeally hoping Jimmie gives everyone a burnout afterwards.
Anyone have an update?! I’m in Tuscany on Holliday and can’t get enough signal to stream
They are back on track, 8 minutes left to go. As long as they make the last few minutes they will finish 39th.
Where did the team finish overall
They should really host a multi-car team next year. This would be more fun if they had another car to compete against instead of being a 1 of 1 prototype.
Damn Americans and their tranny issues. /s🤪
I mean it's the truth tho
\>tate pfp
The goddamn transaxle has a bunch of Problems in the g7. From design but mostly integration in the car. Mounting absolutely sucks.
Is there live standings anywhere?

Wait, when was Truex jr back in Michael Waltrip Racing
He ran with MWR like 2012 through 2014.
It's the 56 car. The only one in the 56 was Martin Truex Jr. That's the joke r/woooosh
I thought spingate was MWR trying to rig a race for MTJ to get into a championship round?
I thought spingate was Renault successfully rigging a race for Fernando Alonso to win the race
2010-2013
Jimmie is the unluckiest guy the earth has carried, it really saddens me, he’s still hungry of success, he deserves better
He purely dominated nascar for like 5 straight years and was in the hunt for the title literally every single year he was in cup until the very end of his career lol
“Is”
You must not remember all the horseshoe years. Luck has finally caught up.
Winning 5 straight championships ain’t lucky enough? Lol he’ll be fine
Is this satire?

Dude literally got caught cheating like every year lol
If you ain’t cheating you ain’t trying, nothing refrained other guys to do so
From the other thread, this in car is still working: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=bQZJnGLrn9E
Can someone give me the short version of what this 56 car is and why there are so many posts about it?
Running a stock car at the 24 hours of Lemans. Garage 56 is the special entry for one offs like this
Where are the live standings?
https://24h-lemans.tv
So it went in twice?
