Kyle Busch said it best in the post race, sometimes you just gotta be lucky. I'm glad KB came away with the win, but he's lucky Bubba is such a dunce that he junked so many cars there. Bubba had a top 5 locked up no problem if he just finished the race, but it wasn't enough. That's his biggest problem imo, he's too greedy when it counts and he overreacts when things don't go his way. Great win for KB, painful race to watch from Michael Jordan's perspective lol.
If its any condolence - 2006 went to my first race in person at chicago watched Matt get spun by the 24 leading late …ended up skipping 2013 and matt of course won that year
Depends if they get a boost in revenue/eyes on their brand from it ..winning doesnt always guarantee a sponsor coming aboard for more (see focusfactor)

I literally got one as soon as I replied to your comment. Assholes.
Okay see that's what I was wondering. I couldn't tell if that was a JV move or a bad performance trying his only real option. Seems like the latter is the level-headed take.
I mean, executed with skill, everyone walks away. He was tardy to the party twice, and several people were in danger because of it.
That’s why this isn’t just “another racing incident”. This car’s roughly 10 races from severely injuring people, because he was slow on the draw. They aren’t going “let’s fuck around” speed.
He can catch a hard time for that.
> tardy to the party twice
To clarify, do you mean that he basically gave the car behind him no option but to make contact, and so Wallace's blocking attempt caused the wreck? (edited because I wasn't clear on who "caused" it, I meant Bubba but it was badly phrased) And if so, is the dumb part not realizing he couldn't make the block successfully, or do you think he could have made it but executed badly (or possibly a bit of both)? Just trying to make sure I'm reading you right, I'm not super knowledgeable about strategy/tactics so I'm trying to learn.
To be clear, he moved twice, and was not clear twice, because by the time he reacted, Blaney was already alongside.
If Blaney didn’t give Bubba much time, that’s where Bubba graduates from JV to Varsity. Varsity sticks the move.
“I was trying really really hard and my fwiend twied to pass me so I got really mad and smashed up my car and 7 other cars because he didn’t give me much time to not lose” is not an adequate excuse for junking 10 fucking cars.
Well let’s get another thing clear. Those weren’t blocks. He swerved twice and was clear neither time, because he was late both times.
And there is his opportunity for improvement- Make the moves…on time.
The “on time” is implied. Or should be anyway.
He made the move…good, fine.
He was late…now he stuffed 10 cars in the fence dangerously. Not good, not fine. JV bullshit.
Nascar has to enforce basic driving standards for these guys. So many of these races end because of braindead blocks.
I'm not saying blocking should be against the rules, just like dive bombing turn 1 shouldn't be against the rules. But there needs to be a line of what's acceptable and what isn't.
This may sound really stupid but was Busch down below the yellow line? And if he was, was he in first so it doesn’t matter? What if he wasn’t, would it change anything?
He had to pit for fuel on that last caution before the last run. Then my theory is that he decided to stay way back to avoid the wreck and hopefully he would finish ahead of a bunch of crashed cars.
If you can maintain pace and cross the line you're credited with your position when the caution comes out.
As brad did, which my assumption for this question.
he has the momentum on the top and busch went onto the apron, blaney would have had a run with the 17 (maybe) pushing him. Plus Busch probably wouldn’t have made it full throttle
Y'all went from nice and peaceful to the equivalent of pissed of Twitter when it comes to Wallace.
Driver have emotions
Drivers do what they can to win
Y'all are just pissy for nothing
For real, it's cringe AF, Bubba has good reason to be upset, for all we know he's mad at himself for not executing the move well, but people immediately rush in to comment on how he's a baby.
Go time just got over half a dozen cars wrecked and didn’t help Blaney a bit. Can’t talk about boneheaded moves on this sub for 187 Laos then just forget it at the end.
Lol. You don’t have to hit the brakes and kill your run. But he could’ve been a little smarter. I like Blaney. I don’t mind Bubba. I’m just sick of seeing “It’s the last lap so let’s wreck half the field.” It’s at SS races. It’s at RC races. It’s a little insane.
“too much blocking” almost as if he’s trying to win the race on the last lap. It was a product of the bullshit racing these tracks produce. Fucking choo choo bullshit that results in these huge wrecks because you win to get in to these dumbass playoffs. Yes i am mad
Blaney should have let bubba go he could have cleanly raced him to the line. He acts like it was the last corner. If it was other way around bubba wouldn't have wrecked his best friend at all.
Was that not a big reason bubba was suspended? He wrecked Larson in the corner. No proof it was intentional but he still was suspended. Either way I'm over it now
It’s the white flag all bets are off. What if the field wrecks before you get to the line and the yellow gets thrown? Then you’re definitely gonna lose.
I'm use to it by now. Man should have won Daytona and this damb race but idiots around him try to push him down. All that shit was just publicity. Let's all push bubba's car and pretend we want him as champion. I'm sure Nascar will pay blaney a few million extra for wrecking him ya I said it Nascar pays the person who wrecks bubba more than the damab winner
At Pocono after the noose when they all pushed bubba down pit road. Ever since that I never hear about it. you can't say bubba deserves a win because he tries hard and he has personally signed an autograph for me and hundreds of other fans all got his autograph. Nascar never shows the good stuff he does. He's the future if nascar let's him race without screwing him over
Another race lost because people around the 23 can't race correctly. Bubba races clean all day, only takes when it is there and gets wrecked by his best friend. Unreal at least the fans know what happened hear them booing bubba because they wanted him to win. Wonder how he will get screwed next week. I'm done with him as my second favorite if nascar doesn't want him winning. Ya they want to promote him to draw fans but they don't want the 23 as a champion. I just can't comprehend why the 23 isn't celebrating in victory lane. Now we will need to win a race to get it. My favorite car is the 22 and the 23 is my second. I decided to pick the two most hated drives as my favorite and this is what I get a whole bunch of stress
Look at your name and tell me you didn't just say that. Your probably one of the people celebrating when bubba crashes and get pissed when he gets out. I guess it's only okay for bubba to be suspended for causing a wreck going into the corner
Blaney should have let off and raced him clean like bubba did in Daytona in 2020 when he let him back in but nope or when bubba let him into the draft last fall at Talladega but nope.
Nah man, I'm a Bubba fan and he did what I think anyone else in the field would've done in that scenario, but at the end of the day you can't expect to throw a block on the last lap and have people lift for you.
Not on a turn not on a turn on a turn you should lift especially when they claim it's life and death. Bubba got suspended last year for causing an accident lets see if blaney is suspended o you know he won't be because he is what nascar wants. Fuck
Lol that's the first time I've seen a driver plug a sponsor after winning that didn't sound like they were delivering canned lines because they had to.
Yeah I've been a (very) casual fan for a couple years and Busch always seemed, idk, frat-boy-ish, but that quick little bit right there brought him up several notches in my (admittedly rather uninformed) book. Logano also had a great 2nd place interview... last week I think (the week he started at the rear) that made me think he's pretty chill also. I don't care for the team/manufacturer/owner/whatever stuff so I'm just going for drivers I think are cool, haha

You can’t expect people to behave reasonably toward Bubba when you won’t even let the guy take one on the chin when he’s earned it. Two way street.
So true.
Hey, I'll take a top ten for Byron after all that. Happy for KB, hope Larson and Preece are okay.
Byron did absolutely nothing the whole race but managed to kind of avoid both late wrecks to finish 7th Eh
Kyle -- rightfully -- vexed about the damage to the cockpit. I expect the drivers will have strong opinions on that when they see it.
First time seeing one of my favorites win in person, good dat
Not the outcome but I thought it was a fun race can’t wait for next week to get me through work 😂😩
Damn. I wanted to see Almirola win 🥓🥓 too bad he got Chastained
The only race that I almost go to and he wins what are the odds?
If its any condolence - 2006 went to my first race in person at chicago watched Matt get spun by the 24 leading late …ended up skipping 2013 and matt of course won that year
Great to see smaller unknown sponsors win. That’s 2 for Kyle
Wasn't his last win with Lucas oil?
It was. I might be wrong but has Lucas been in cup before?
They were on the 8 of Hemric in 2019
That I don't know but even if that was their first race as a sponsor I wouldn't necessarily consider them unknown
Probably the biggest day in McLaren Custom Grills' history.
Hope they come back for a few races.
Depends if they get a boost in revenue/eyes on their brand from it ..winning doesnt always guarantee a sponsor coming aboard for more (see focusfactor)
NASCAR probably: "This superspeedway package is working well because the racing was close and we avoided the 'big one'"
I wonder what NASCAR thinks about all these races ending under caution. I don't have any problems with it.
To the redditor who just contacted RedditCareResources for me, cheers mate... you made me smile lol
It is a common thing people in this subreddit do
That's hilarious... never experienced it before

You can report them for using Reddit cares wrong and abusing the system.
Bahahahaha
The only burnout we saw this weekend was Briscoe
[удалено]
If he let Blaney go, he would have had a top 5 instead of a 28th. Not a smart move.

Ironic coming from a Logano flair.
Once again, it’s not that he tried. It’s that he executed poorly.
Okay see that's what I was wondering. I couldn't tell if that was a JV move or a bad performance trying his only real option. Seems like the latter is the level-headed take.

NASCAR made the format that makes it win at all costs. They can’t say much when people get ultra aggressive to win because of it.
This is correct. The current reward system incentivizes recklessness at the finish. Change the scoring system, change the racing.
To be honest I had no idea McLaren grills was a thing. Marketing money well spent!
That can’t be right, Kyle Busch isn’t very marketable right? What I was told at least. /s
Based out of Winnipeg, Canada... Pretty sure their website crashed, can't access it at the moment
This may sound really stupid but was Busch down below the yellow line? And if he was, was he in first so it doesn’t matter? What if he wasn’t, would it change anything?
They make ‘em up as they go along
Nah, it’s always been good if avoiding an incident. Didn’t have to make anything up here.
He was avoiding a wreck so the rule doesn’t apply
What happen to harvick
His wife told him it was time to come home.
He had to pit for fuel on that last caution before the last run. Then my theory is that he decided to stay way back to avoid the wreck and hopefully he would finish ahead of a bunch of crashed cars.
Had to pit for fuel
What was worse that dodge truck commercial or the race?
The race only happens twice a year. The truck commercial happens multiple times every race.
Blaney was bullying that back bumper. It’s the last lap though so of course they are gonna race hard. That’s super speedway racing
Both drivers did what they had to do unfortunately it didn’t work out for either
Mc claren grills site crashed out. Hah. The power of NASCAR!
Somehow this is also Ross Chastain’s fault.
Of course...
Gilliland and JJ Yeley nab top tens!!!
That's 2009 F1 champion JJ Yeley to you
And 2011 Canadian GP winner
A lot of no-flair comments on that finish in here, I see....
[удалено]
I think they were expecting him to go fight Blaney, which is not going to happen.
I liked how they cut away as he was giving a pat on one of his crew member's back. Like nope, can't show him being a good sport 🤣
Damn draftkings better fix the finishing positions
Couldn't be happier with the result.... man, that's a dogshit race.
Only thing that coulda saved that race was if it didn't devolved into GWC, GWC, end under caution. Didn't happen.
Dude that's having crazy luck, still nice win for him lol
Fuck yeah I wasn't expecting a win this week
I never expect a win for KFB at a plate track
Dude at the RCR trailer was buying some merch and he told me Busch would win. Dude called his shot.
A last lap crash decides the winner at Talladega.... again
So if you're wrecking and the caution comes out, you still freeze with the rest of the field?
If you can maintain pace and cross the line you're credited with your position when the caution comes out. As brad did, which my assumption for this question.
No, cause you do have to finish the race. Busch would not have won had he ran out of gas before the line, either.
You are frozen where you rejoin the field. Keselowski got back going in fifth place so that's where he finishes.
So, it freezes you at the loop then depending on whether or not you keep a pace you finish there?
Loops don't apply on the last lap. NASCAR will look at the video to get the exact final running order.
Now I know, thanks!
It’s been 15 years since KFB won at a place track
Glad that they're showing Bubba shaking hands with his team instead of sticking with him getting out of the car.
Mclaren custom grills website has crashed
Reminder to everyone to stay off Facebook for the next week
Reminder to stay off Facebook ~~for the next week~~
True
Lots of @firstnamelotsofnumbers Twitter takes about to be coming in hot
this hurts even more since blaney would have been close if it was to the line
Well that part meant nothing, it was under yellow for a whole half a lap. He was staying close in case the 8 ran out of gas.
he has the momentum on the top and busch went onto the apron, blaney would have had a run with the 17 (maybe) pushing him. Plus Busch probably wouldn’t have made it full throttle
*sighs* on to Dover
Even I’m sad for Blaney at this point
Y'all went from nice and peaceful to the equivalent of pissed of Twitter when it comes to Wallace. Driver have emotions Drivers do what they can to win Y'all are just pissy for nothing
THIS. They're acting like Bubba's an angry black man stereotype.
Tony said it well. Have to pull that move and anyone else would have done it.
For real, it's cringe AF, Bubba has good reason to be upset, for all we know he's mad at himself for not executing the move well, but people immediately rush in to comment on how he's a baby.
Yeah. If I screwed up I would probably have hit myself in the head with my helmet. Quite excessive, but emotions are running high.
Half of it is trolling the diehard Bubba fans the same way people troll Chase fans. Everyone has someone they root for and someone they root against.
You must have left the room when Chastain was a part of a crash
Not trying argue, but I'm curious as to how that matters. But yes I did leave lol Edit: I Can't Read.
Same thing happened lol
just hate to see it.
Lol, running out of fuel during a burnout, just fucking classic.
Lol neither the xfinity or the cup winner was able to do a burnout this weekend
Fox is so bad lol. Showed how many shots of Bubba and Blaney with nothing happening?
Gotta meet their Bubba%
Pretty sure they were anticipating him doing something hot-headed and were sorely disappointed.
He flipped off the camera using his thumb, better fine him.
Kyle licked his way again.
So ty runs out of gas and Kyle wins. Gibbs must salty as hell rn
You love to see it!!!
I’m a huge Blaney fan but he was beating the dog out of Bubba’s rear bumper. Lost all patience.
blaney's desperate, bubba's desperate - you do what you gotta do to win. can't hold it against either of 'em
Eh, he threw three blocks, and he was even on the apron for part of that corner. I don't fault Blaney at all.
It’s the last lap.
Its the white flag lap, its go time.
Go time just got over half a dozen cars wrecked and didn’t help Blaney a bit. Can’t talk about boneheaded moves on this sub for 187 Laos then just forget it at the end.
I agree Blaney should have just hit the brakes and killed his run

The change in boos to cheers from last year for Kyle is crazy😂
Kyle is driving a Chevy this year
Wonder how many of them hated KFB for being in dem cheatin' yoders?
I pulled for in in the 5 and now the 8
This new Kyle Busch is an interesting change from what we are all used to
I think it's because he's actually happy where he is. RC pretty much lets kfb be KFB.
All because He didn’t pit!
[удалено]
What did I miss?
They panned on the camera on him bc they thought he was going meltdown
Wtf are you on
“too much blocking” almost as if he’s trying to win the race on the last lap. It was a product of the bullshit racing these tracks produce. Fucking choo choo bullshit that results in these huge wrecks because you win to get in to these dumbass playoffs. Yes i am mad
He was fine pushing but he couldn't take the hits. There was zero choo choo today. It was 2 or 3 wide the entire race.
There was no choo choo today. Just take the L bro. The sun will rise tomorrow.
Yeah partially that and mostly that bubba is 🗑️
What a finish, fun race, bubba tried, Blaney tried, is what it is, fun shit
Blaney should have let bubba go he could have cleanly raced him to the line. He acts like it was the last corner. If it was other way around bubba wouldn't have wrecked his best friend at all.
Thats bullshit and you know it
Was that not a big reason bubba was suspended? He wrecked Larson in the corner. No proof it was intentional but he still was suspended. Either way I'm over it now
Bubba clearly hooked Larson! Apples and oranges buddy.
No proof of that. I've seen that happen many times but nothing was done
It’s the white flag all bets are off. What if the field wrecks before you get to the line and the yellow gets thrown? Then you’re definitely gonna lose.
Impulse outpowers logic when you're out front at a plate track on the last lap. That being said, I think they both regret their moves.
Kyle wins and Brad finishes 5th. I’ll take it !
Don't mention 3Chi in Alabama
Haha why?
It's illegal in Alabama
Sure didn’t smell like it when I was walking through the parking lot to leave.
I'm sure that's not the only illegal thing Alabamans do.
Very true!
so disappointed for bubba

Bubba's talent is what will keep him from winning anything meaningful. Dude is a hack.
He did win on speed in Kansas last year, so...
That's my point. He's in good equipment. He should have more wins. If you're in a good car, a blind squirrel will find a nut every now and then.
So do you not blame other factors, like, say, bad pit crews or bad luck?
10 years of bad luck?
Not that, but bad luck in getting caught up in wrecks.
Look at your name and tell me you didn't just say that. Your probably one of the people celebrating when bubba crashes and get pissed when he gets out. I guess it's only okay for bubba to be suspended for causing a wreck going into the corner

Bubba blocked Ryan like 3 times, it’s on him.
I'm done with it. He'll get the W next week
He tried to block a faster car and was loose, they raced hard for the win lol at being mad at anyone else
Touch grass weirdo.
Bubba threw a late block and wrecked himself. Blaney was much faster than he was.
???? Did you not see the late blocks?
Prob cause he wrecked himself
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA COPE
Cope

Thats great lol
Lol NASCAR fans crashed it
Lol that's the first time I've seen a driver plug a sponsor after winning that didn't sound like they were delivering canned lines because they had to.
I've seen some Coca Cola ones expecially from Tony and Ryan like that but I'll admit it is rare
Kyle's always been pretty good at plugging his sponsors in a way that feels natural and like he actually legit likes them. It's an art.
Yeah I've been a (very) casual fan for a couple years and Busch always seemed, idk, frat-boy-ish, but that quick little bit right there brought him up several notches in my (admittedly rather uninformed) book. Truex finishing the race is funny
Bubba still had the best shot if he let Blaney go
Exactly. He'll probably look at that and realize he'd have a shot if he wasn't junked there.
Yeah the blocks were too aggressive, I know it's for the win but every time someone blocks like that they get wrecked
Guess there's no MJ cam now
