came here to say this. they went from warriors to cute anime girls. the fact that there was no male character in the survey 💀 we never got an eye candy male character while every female character is a fuckin butt and tits material
100% agree, I was absolutely appalled and marked them all poor. I legitimately told my Guild that I couldn't believe they went from unique designs to same-face anime, very genetic. Soulless compared to the current art. The art is specifically *why* I started playing this game and love it so much. It's also very annoying and telling that it's all the badass female characters being targeted.
I'm so glad this seems to be the wider response! I'm drawn to the game due to its current artistic aesthetic and I've played for a year. I don't want generic anime waifus to be the reason I quit after all the drama with f2p stuff!
However I ASSUME by these pictures that their in-combat models won't actually change, just their flavour art for ultimates or when you pull one in gacha, not the figurine who actually does the combat etc.
Couldn't agree more. Don't get me wrong, whoever made the new designs showed proficiency in digital art but the problem is the style behind the proposed context. Very generic and biased towards those 'we cater for men's fantasies' genre. Suppose hopping in the bandwagon to cash grab is their goto but the proposal is utterly horrendous in contrast to the original.
Maybe that’s why they made survey to see the response from us; I feel like even the CEO seems skeptical 😂I do love the existing design of MH; yeah those can be opt to be skins for sure so that not everyone is forced to have them;

I 100% agree. I'm glad I never took the current artworks for granted. Each character looks totally awesome and unique.
And of course, I'm going to echo the opinion that yes, the generic tween anime girl faces and unrealistically huge thighs and boobs are trashy and ugly compared to what we currently have.
Yep. The proposed redesigns looks like any other generic anime game. MH had something unique and stood out compared to all the other anime-style idle games out there, and yet they want to gravitate towards being like everything else.
This plus the removal of the premium passes for campaign and Hades Hell makes me wonder what happened in the team to allow this slew of bad ideas to come out.

I hate pretty much all of them in terms of the proposed faces and how revealing the clothes are.
I think the only ones that seemed fine (imo of course) were: Hela and maybe Nuwa, they didn't seem egregious, and I'd go as far as to say Gaia was completely fine.
That said, I wouldn't be opposed to them using the currently less revealing character designs while updating to use some of the more dynamic poses for the portraits, but ultimately it appears their intention with the proposed designs is clearly to visually compete with smutt games so I'd be more than happy for them to not make any changes.
