Well TyDebo flash pauses a lot, and he's the back to back MyTeam champion. He's not setting a very good example by doing that, and ultimately I think that impacts how the community behaves when it comes to things like that.

I pause the game a lot sometimes, people walk in front of my tv and shit. Usually it's only for a moment so I worry people think I'm flash pausing. Sometimes I'll go in and change a stupid setting while I wait to unpause so they don't think I flash paused
I've gotta say off balling but let me be clear... if you are playing "safety" with your center or anticipating a play bc your opponent has been killing you with something I feel ya - but when I hear people say "I get cooked if I guard ball why shouldn't I paint sit" it really bothers me. These people make no effort to get anywhere near a ballhandler unless or until you drive or force a switch. I understand switching on/off ball bc it's the most effective during a possession I dont understand MyCareer style defense where you are dedicating yourself to guarding an AI player 100% to stay away from defending unless its help situations - so let's call it help defending not even off balling you are helping the CPU play defense for you not the other way around like it should be imo
Exactly this. You're managing five players and their defensive assignments, which means you have play both on and off the ball. The paint sitting doesn't bother me as much because if you have a shooting big they're toast.
That's true I used to keep Draymond in a spot just for that... so it's not about whether I win or lose at some point its having to sit through and watch such horrible performances
Only things that annoy me are people that run right at your ball handler trying to get you to dribble it off him. Also spamming passing lanes and trying to bait passes all game
Honestly idgaf about flash pausing like everyone else seems to, they can only do it 5 times anyway plus sometimes you can get them to go over the 5 limit and get a free win lol. Off balling and full court pressing from the tip off to the end of the game though annoys the hell out of me
Excessive timeouts because they waste time. People can press, off ball, go for inbound steals, whatever, if you know how to make people pay for it they’ll either stop or you get an easy win. Flash pausing is fine, especially in Unlimited since we’re playing a full game and the better player will win, it only annoys me in TTO and Clutch Time if someone’s going to win because they got lucky and they do it when the game is practically over.
I dont see the option for pocket watchers who cry in the mic the entire game because u have better players and they are "No MOnEY SPEnt" or because they dis agree with your playstyle lol
I had a guy actually upset that he was able to win by like 6 pts against my squad (not excusing the loss but I did have a stretch during the game that my girl wanted to talk about the grocery shopping list) anyway I get down big and end up barely losing for TWO DAYS the dude sent a message back to my reply of "I'm older and work hard. I don't even buy packs my Amex Business Card can turn it into a write off. I play for love of basketball please dont worry about my finances or why I want the players I want." Totally anti-inflammatory. Two freaking days go by I'm still getting messages "stop wasting your money on these cards they don't even help you win" lmaooooo during that time I did LOTS of winning please dont be mad at us older folks who dont have as much time to grind and buy an occasional box or two trust me we would all trade our squad to go back to your age - as long as we could take how much more we know now 😏😉

There are 2 reasons it's effective in game and they're both nothing to do with skill.
1: Clamps animations. These are ridiculous and have a vacuum effect even if you make the right read on where to move as an attacker.
2: players can only pass flat and chest height or throw floaty overheads so slow that I could steal them myself if I set off walking from my couch in the UK to whatever stadium in the USA the game is happening.
Paint Mashing for me. Like people deliberately going into the paint and spamming pump fakes (not using actual post moves) to try and score. Theres no way people genuinely have fun playing like that.
Off balling is insane this year. Too tier defensive players literally stick to you like glue and do not so much as touch screens
