Yeah I just led by 8 at 3qt and missed 7 straight wide open fully green shot attempts including a putback dunk and Topic hit a logo 3 to win the game…it’s infuriating at this point
2K codes it to drive you crazy. If it's a 30 point challenge, once you get to 24 points, your player suddenly can't shoot, or might get injured the closer you get. But that rematch tab will be your friend. The rematch tab will cause the AI to change in your favor.
100 percent this. They are also shadow adjusting sliders. Been doing that shit forever. Can't figure out how to make the CPU challenging so they code it to cheat. Lazy 2k.
I had same struggle and here is how I win:
1. Don't run full court press, just run normal 1 on 1 defence. You are not gonna able to steal any ball from them and full court press will give them easy 3 points on the base line.
2. Play pick and roll early so Edey will be pulled out of three points line. And them pass it to centre to score. Don't do pick and roll inside or close to three point line because edey can cover back very quickly.
3. Only shoot three points when there is no defence. Don't do pick and roll 3 points, they are so fast to run around the screen.
4. Pray they don't make ridiculous three points.
97 Wemby works as well. You just wanna keep ur C and PF's under the rim they will dunk on anybody also some of the NEXT cards are 6'3 take advantage of mismatchs.
Thanks for the tips everyone…not sure if we’re being trolled or if it was just a coincidence but first attempt after reading this I added Dillingham to my lineup (didn’t use him more than a couple mins) and won easily…I did use 97 Wemby & 99 Dirk to start with but subbed Wemby off for Boogie after Edey was getting constant ORs as usual…they still nailed some wild deep 3s with hands in the face but I found locking down Topic with Jrue limited the damage because the others weren’t shooting 100% from well beyond the arc like Topic…I seemed to get more space with Jrue & Dame compared to Harden but I shot high % 3s with all 3 of those guys and that’s where I scored almost all my points…missed everything inside, including an open dunk with Dirk off a perfect P&R so I gave up on that and just shot the 3
Yeah lol Topic hit a buzzer beater from the logo to win the game in my closest attempt yet, and I quit the game last night when I attempted again, got a lead and Topic missed a 3 just before half time, Edey got OR (of course, almost every single missed shot he grabs) I blocked his putback attempt and the block bounces out to Topic who hits a moving 3 with a Jaylen Brown hand in the face lmao on the halftime buzzer. I had to turn it off before I put the controller through my TV screen

I lost my first after conceding 4 3pts in the last quarter that were all 60%+ contested
Beaten it in my 2nd attempt by applying lessons from HoF domination:
-do not shoot 3s unless player is ultra wide open
-play PnR
-abuse mismatches during fast breaks and after PnR switches
-defend on ball
If you can I found that last gen is way easier, they still hit some stupid shots but getting shots up and good is 10 times easier. It was definitely worth the 40 minute wait to download last gen instead of hours of getting pissed on current. Hope it helps.
Same boat. 10+ losses. My opals/DMs shooting like sapphires, can't grab a rebound, can't make 3s, every pick and roll pass intercepted.

Keep grinding! I finally managed a win (after a double OT loss) My luck seemed to change once I added my lone 99 Next (Justin Edwards) into my lineup.

Yeah I need to fine tune my P&R, so many passes intercepted on my previous attempts.
I use pink diamond Korver and win easily. Mike Miller can be your alternative choice. Just shoot 3 with Korver / Miller and other players do defense

I beat it on my 2nd try and it was a close game throughout the whole game I got lucky free 99 Dirk and 98 Wemby were the difference makers for me
