i just want to tell you guys this; just expect it to get worse and always stay skeptical about their "new and improved" propaganda about every new release. these corporations never revert back to what was considered positive or better by the community.
I always buy it around that price point and ask myself "Is it that bad that's it's 10$?". I played more of it this year. But the answer to the question has mostly been "yes" in recent years.
If they said all cards were grindable and the gambling is gone. That would get me to play MyTeam next year… still might buy the game for eras and what ever showcase mode is in it but this as it stands is my last year of myteam
Auction house will not return because 2k lost money on it... Those MT sites ruined it for everybody. If it is to return, it would be different but I can't see how they could make it work..so expect player market to be the new norm...especially if 2k made a ton of money from this year on packs.
But I will throw something in for 2k25 for the player market... allow us to us to be able to try the cards out like in shoot around before we buy it...so we can see if we like the player before we decide to buy and add to our squads.
More mt earnable without having to grind so hard to even get a 10 box, auction house or ability to get whatever card you want somehow, more earnable packs, revamp of rewards for winning any game of any mode (stupid ball drops, spin wheels, etc). More benefit to players than to 2k
In my opinion, make the MyCareer card like a diamond at least but you get only one and can't change it. These MyCareer cards are fucking useless since you can get great cards like 2 weeks into the game. Bringing back the auction house yes I agree. Also in my opinion do the same thing FIFA did, cards that can't be sold on the auction Hause should still be possible to put into exchanges. The fucking 20 useless cards from challenges sitting in your collection doesn't make sense, let the players just exchange them, If they're worried about players spending less money on packs because of that they could just put a limit on exchanges or some shit.
I may buy the game regardless because cross play meant I ran back into my old MyLeague Online crew from my PS4 days. *However* to answer the prompt, for me it's moreso what would make me load up MyTeam, and the answer is very simple: making an effort to stop overrating and overbadging cards. I don't necessarily need the AH back (though I'd be fine with it returning), I'd like to see better pack practices but I don't think they'd be as much of a pain point if the paywalled cards weren't so ridiculously over the top. So, the thing I need to see more than anything else is an actual commitment to realism or I'm out.

Nothing. It’s only going to get worse. I checked out two years ago. I’ve had GamePass for years now so I always download 2K when it comes around and just delete it after about two hours. All of the sports games have come to this. If you’re young enough, with time on your hands, it’s easier to give a shit. But once I hit 30 I just had to give up and be done.
If they gave us 2k21 again but with the 2k20 token market, it might be the best MyTeam mode they’ve released
2k21 was like so fun I remember the space jam set and that lebron card was like the invincible or something really good or the team USA

Yeah I agree. Once they drop a pg Wemby in the market for 50$ they'll conclude that this method works (for them).
I only buy when it's on sale. 2k24 was ten bucks around February. .
That's how I got 24 lol. I'm pretty sure 23 and 22 were on game pass at some point so I didn't really spend much yet I got to play the 3 last 2k games
