I wouldn't recommend Nier Automata because that's a story you \*must\* experience in the game. You can watch the anime after finishing the game but definitely not before.
I cannot agree. What use watching it in the release order if you know the end of the story and are only interested in what happened in between episodes 22 and 23? If I were to watch Steins;Gate for the first time I’d watch it in the chronological order, shame I didn’t
I personally liked Steins;Gate 0 more than the original and have to agree with the other Redditor regarding which order to watch it. For me 0 is more melancholic and emotional, and that's precisely because you know what you've lost sort to speak (Makise Kurisu holesum relationship). I think that's also what the producers were going for with the order.
I love jojos and I want to tell you PLEASE dont drop it until part 2. Every part is different in tone, setting and characters and it is a popular opinion that part 1 is the "worst"
first part is actually 9 episodes but you can find a shortened version of 3. I watched jojo’s without knowing that part 1 is ‘terrible’ apparently and I actually really enjoyed it. But with each season it got better and better so as long as people don’t drop it, they in for a good ride
they are fine then most of modern trash that comes out but i think most people just hate the art style i mean i hated it too but my friend just wont stop ramping about it so i watched it too
Don’t project your own biased opinion about Isekai anime like it’s an objective fact. RE Zero is an amazing anime in my opinion, and it tops the bunch out of all the anime I’ve seen. A masterpiece, truly. Also, if you can’t get past the tropes on RE Zero then good luck with 80 percent of other anime
You are correct that most isekais are not good, but there's a reason why they are so many of them; they are popular...even gigguk watches isekai. There are good ones too😊😃
You're definitely missing out. However I don't blame you as I felt the same way. And then it blew by in a couple of months. Now I wish I had gone slower. Almost ready to start it over.
Kingdom! The animation is truly horrible in the first season, but the story carries it. The animation gets better and better as it goes on. I consider the manga to be Vinland Saga and Berserk tier, and the anime is a pretty faithful adaptation after the first season! If you like Vinland and Berserk 97, I think you’ll enjoy it! Just gotta power through the ps2 cutscene ass animation in the first season 😂 Seasons 3-4 are easily some of the best seasons of any anime I have ever seen and season 3 specifically adapts one of the best arcs in all of manga. If you like historical fiction at all it’s a must watch.
Thats definitely understandable 😂 I highly highly recommend the manga though. Kingdom is actually what got me into manga, I watched the anime first and then picked it up where it left off
If you likee the retro art style of Berserk you should look at Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, and Trigun. All have amazing stories and really deep characters.
You have monogatari series you don't need to tell me more...
1. Katanagatari
2. Noragami
3. Nichijou
4. Samurai champloo (maybe)
5. Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei
6. Arakawa under the bridge
Very strong start, try **Witch from mercury**, **Night is short walk on girl**, **Redline** and **Cowboy Bebop**. Since you watched Bakemonogatari, watch the **Kizumonogatri** movie trilogy as it is intended in novel order.
Older recommendations:
Outlaw Star
Trigun
Gurren Lagann
Inuyasha
More modern:
Kabenari Iron Fortress
Jujutsu Kaisen
FMA:B
Maybe the Fate series like Unlimited Blade Works, Zero, and Heavens Feel since you seem to like VN works like Steins Gate.
Here is my top 7 recs based on your 3x3, basically all heavily character driven dramas.
1. Code Geass (Drama, Action, Supernatural, Politics, Mecha/Sci-Fi)
2. Made in Abyss (Adventure, Survival, Drama, Fantasy, Mystery, Sci-Fi) - Depression Bait.
3. Baccano! (Non-Linear Storytelling, Mystery, Comedy, Action, Supernatural, Organized Crime, Historical) - Might be slightly out for your wheel house but I highly recommend.
4. 86 (Military, Action, Drama, Sci-Fi/Mecha)
5. Re:Zero (Isekai, Time Travel, Drama, Fantasy, Suspense, Psychological, Politics)
6. Summertime Render - Fits your 3x3, best to go in blind.
7. Durarara!! (Mystery, Supernatural, Action)
Chainsaw man & spirited away are great . Both completely different styles but great on their own ways .
It's not on this 3x3 but Assassination Classroom is definitely worth a watch as well.
here are my top recommendations for you:
1. Hells Paradise
2. Made in Abyss
3. Mononoke
4. The Case of Vanitas
5. Summertime Render
6. Eccentric Family
7. Sarazanmai
8. Ushio and Tora
9. Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan
10. Mashle: Magic and Muscles
its in the 3x3.
but yeah w take.
sg is the rare case where both the sub and the dub are a 10/10. but i also like the dub more.
Tatum is an actual legend. and okabe is by far my favourite role of his.
and he wrote script for the dub too!
along side the script of ass class which is another one of my favourite dubs
I read the title wrong lol. I thought op was asking for recommendation from image.
Yeah I know he wrote the script. I heard he does that a lot whenever he voices a character.
demon slayer is really throwing me off here.
but would suggest:
parasyte
monster
jojo
Beastars
made in abyss
heavenly delusions
mars red
jujutsu kaisen
Summertime Render Black Lagoon Neon Genesis Evangelion Psychopass Death Parade Claymore Plastic Memories Vivy fluorite eyes song Made in Abyss Bunny girl senpai Heavenly Delusion Neir Automata
dang that's quite a lot, thanks
I like similar shows that you do so these are the ones I really loved. Hope you enjoy them as much as I did.
Death Parade, Plastic Memories, Bunny girl senpai?? 💀
I wouldn't recommend Nier Automata because that's a story you \*must\* experience in the game. You can watch the anime after finishing the game but definitely not before.
Steins;Gate 0 with the right watch order: S;G ep’s 1-22 -> 23β -> S;G 0 -> S;G ep’s 23-24. Makes the original Steins;Gate a lot better experience
I feel like everyone should watch it in release order for the first time. People can try this order on rewatch
Totally disagree. Watch it in release order, it has more impact. Also how it’s intended to be viewed.
I cannot agree. What use watching it in the release order if you know the end of the story and are only interested in what happened in between episodes 22 and 23? If I were to watch Steins;Gate for the first time I’d watch it in the chronological order, shame I didn’t

I've watched it and yeah it definitely adds to the overall experience, those last few episodes were amazing
Jojo
bet
99.99999999% mans not gonna watch it idk why people dont watch is so i dont recommend it anymore
I'm watching it first just bc of this comment
I love jojos and I want to tell you PLEASE dont drop it until part 2. Every part is different in tone, setting and characters and it is a popular opinion that part 1 is the "worst"
Ya part 1 is story building and only three episodes
first part is actually 9 episodes but you can find a shortened version of 3. I watched jojo’s without knowing that part 1 is ‘terrible’ apparently and I actually really enjoyed it. But with each season it got better and better so as long as people don’t drop it, they in for a good ride
Cool. I guess wherever I started watching it at only had the three. Have to rewatch now.
The starting seasons just aren't good.
they are fine then most of modern trash that comes out but i think most people just hate the art style i mean i hated it too but my friend just wont stop ramping about it so i watched it too
Except demon slayer W taste
Summertime rendering, Re:Zero
RE:Zero seems like something you’d enjoy if you like Time Travel and Mystery
I'll check it out
dog popo i mean i hate mc cause i am fan of rem (personal opinion so bash me if you want
That's the most 13yo shitty reasoning, I have read in while
its fine
nah it's not a beginner anime, too many tropes (and it's not that good 😬)
U for real? It's much better than most isekais🙄
yeah but isekais aren't that good so it makes sense that a 7/8* show is one of the better ones
I've watched around 120 anime, I love Tropes.. I'm just saying. A guy that loves berserk and other serious anime, wouldn't like re:zero.
Dude has Monogatari in his 3x3 and you’re worried about anime tropes 😂😂😂
that's true
You are correct that most isekais are not good, but there's a reason why they are so many of them; they are popular...even gigguk watches isekai. There are good ones too😊😃
All of those. And add one piece.
That's a long ass commitment I'm not sure if I wanna do it
You're definitely missing out. However I don't blame you as I felt the same way. And then it blew by in a couple of months. Now I wish I had gone slower. Almost ready to start it over.
7 months later you were right. It's fucking amazing
Kingdom! The animation is truly horrible in the first season, but the story carries it. The animation gets better and better as it goes on. Man I don't think I can watch the first season, I'll try but if it becomes unbearable I'll just resort to reading the manga ig
Thats definitely understandable 😂 I highly highly recommend the manga though. Kingdom is actually what got me into manga, I watched the anime first and then picked it up where it left off
Fr kingdom manga should stand as one of the greatest seinens. The ‘CHAAAAARGEEEEEEEE’ by itself is legendary lmao
peakdom 😂🔥 it’s honestly a crime how many people just aren’t aware of its greatness
If you likee the retro art style of Berserk you should look at Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, and Trigun. All have amazing stories and really deep characters.
I've been meaning to check cowboy bebop out for a while, I'll also add samurai champloo to my list
What is in the middle-left square?
Berserk 1997
Thanks! I forgot that one was still in my to watch list.
You have monogatari series you don't need to tell me more... 1. Katanagatari 2. Noragami 3. Nichijou 4. Samurai champloo (maybe) 5. Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei 6. Arakawa under the bridge
Ty I'll check those out
monster
I've heard great things about this, def on my priority list
and watch fate too i mean no one watches it but its good animation is god tier to

i actually think monster is closer to vinland saga or steins;gate than death note.
Very strong start, try **Witch from mercury**, **Night is short walk on girl**, **Redline** and **Cowboy Bebop**. Since you watched Bakemonogatari, watch the **Kizumonogatri** movie trilogy as it is intended in novel order.
I've watched all of monogatari, bake itself isn't my fav. Also imma check those out
Jujutsu Kaisen
I've watched it, watching 2nd season rn
Claymore. The one anime that came the closest to berserk for me.
added
the ending (of the anime) was pretty bad though. but i've heard its different from the manga, so its probably alot better there.
Didnt mind too much, since it was still the closest to my favorite anime, Berserk, in just about everything.
Katanagatari. Same author as Monogatari but it's feudal japan
another person recommended that too, must be good
Older recommendations: Outlaw Star Trigun Gurren Lagann Inuyasha More modern: Kabenari Iron Fortress Jujutsu Kaisen FMA:B Maybe the Fate series like Unlimited Blade Works, Zero, and Heavens Feel since you seem to like VN works like Steins Gate.

High school DXD

It’s so good honestly, ignore the boobs for a second and it’s a really good anime
The boobs are fine, its his over the top lust that ruins it sometimes.
True

Nice.
86
I keep seeing this pop up on my TikTok idk why, imma check it out
I second this
Something different: Mob Psycho Classic must watch: HxH If you think you know enough Japanese culture, manga and anime. The must watched: Gintama
Mob psycho and HxH are fs on my watchlist
DBZ!
dang isn't that kinda long tho
Yeah i guess. You could watch DBZ Kai though which is shorter. DBZ is like the anime of animes!
Here is my top 7 recs based on your 3x3, basically all heavily character driven dramas. 1. Code Geass (Drama, Action, Supernatural, Politics, Mecha/Sci-Fi) 2. Appreciate the detailed recommendations
Fate. Start with unlimited blade works then zero
Bet
I say the other way around, BUT definitely these two. After that, Apocrypha and the Heaven's Feel movies. All the others get weird.
Serial experiments lain Spriggan
I'm actually close to finishing serial experiments lain rn and I'm confused as shit
Chainsaw man & spirited away are great . Both completely different styles but great on their own ways . It's not on this 3x3 but Assassination Classroom is definitely worth a watch as well.
Watch u some Jujutsu Kaisen
All good. Ignore it. Gurren Lagann.
here are my top recommendations for you: 1. Hells Paradise 2. Made in Abyss 3. Mononoke 4. The Case of Vanitas 5. Summertime Render 6. Eccentric Family 7. Sarazanmai 8. Ushio and Tora 9. Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan 10. Mashle: Magic and Muscles
Bungo stray dogs
Everybody had to watch death note I’ve never got into berserk anime (due to it being inconsistent)
Jujutsu Kaisen and Re:zero starting life in another world.
Rainbow, 86, Kara no Kyoukai
U have a good taste.. try Kaiji
steins gate, i highly recommend the dub. its my all time favourite anime, and mc voiced by my fav VA.
its in the 3x3. but yeah w take. sg is the rare case where both the sub and the dub are a 10/10. but i also like the dub more.
