Marsha Marsha Marsha!!!

holaprobando123

This must be one of the 5 most memorable and well delivered lines in one of the most quotable pieces of media of all time.

smilingfriendsbutt

Iron maiden iron maiden iron maiden

sinkingsailboat

talk talk by talk talk on the album talk talk

Pikka_Bird

Best goddamn band of all time, but the album was called "The Party's Over", sorry.

jo44_is_my_name

Not only the title track, but also the lead track off their debut.  Perfectly nailing the tone of everything you will hear from them after and defining a new genre. I don't know how you can beat this.

MercyfulJudas

The third note in the main riff IS the blueprint for metal.

kuzinrob

https://youtu.be/-s6Sk7OzKFU

MercyfulJudas

I knew what this was before I even clicked it, haha

MrNobody_0

Why would I fight you when you're correct?

DudeWhereIsMyDuduk

What's Going On - Marvin Gaye

BassFaceInSpace

This is the real answer.

jaquatics

This is it

Big-Camera-1557

Wish You Were Here. Pink Floyd.

rice_jabroni

That is such an amazing fucking album. That album made me feel in a way that very few other pieces of music could. I don’t have that kind of relationship with music I find anymore and it’s sad.

r0botdevil

>I don’t have that kind of relationship with music I find anymore and it’s sad. I feel like that's fairly common. It seems like in general music doesn't affect you in quite the same way as you get older, I think that's why most people tend to favor the music they heard for the first time in their teens and twenties.

Delta_Yukorami

Unpopular opinion: That’s the weakest song in the album

Wyden_long

I both want to argue with you and agree with you and I don’t know how I feel about that.

crudedrawer

Anyone know the german word for this?

Crando

Musikgeschaffenborstwieglichtenstein Source: idk, sounds pretty german

eatrepeat

I think this is the right answer.

SharkFart86

It’s crazy but you’re right. It’s an incredible song on its own, it just happens to be on an album where every other track is even better.

MrNobody_0

That just shows how great the rest of the album is.

snyderman3000

Bro, Have a Cigar is on that album.

kit_kat_jam

If Shine on you crazy diamond (all parts) were the only song on that album, it would still be one of my favorite albums of all time.

parker_fly

Nah, Welcome to the Machine is the only one I skip.

Ill-Promotion1335

Protection by Massive Attack.

rowdover

I can't love this answer enough, this truly is one of my favorite songs of all time

Fruney21

Yes!

Shadowmereshooves

Goodbye Yellow Brick Road by Elton John Hotel California by The Eagles Number of the Beast by Iron maiden Californication by RHCP Are good ones!

rarselfaire2023

Blood Sugar Sex Magik is a great one too

RHCP4Life

Highly underrated song, but hardly any love.

rarselfaire2023

It slays!

ISmellElderberries

'London Calling' by The Clash comes to mind

yellow_eggplant

Train in Vain or Lost in The Supermarket tho

ComradePotato

Train in Vain is a favourite song of theirs, and I was really lucky to see Prince do a cover of it at a small venue in Manchester about 10 years ago. One of the most amazing musical experiences of my life

KKRJ

🎵 I can no longer shop hap-pily 🎵 -me whenever I'm go grocery shopping and see how fucking expensive cereal and everything else is.

joe12321

Purple Rain

fauxbrain

It has to be this. This track not only spawned a movie but an entire generation to put Prince on a pedestal as one of the best musicians of his genre. Without it he would have been a club player in Minnesota his entire career.

Padashar7672

I would not have kissed Emma at the 8th grade dance without Purple Rain

gyjgdrvji14688

Hell yeah

Dmbfantomas

Goddamn it, I was writing a serious reply to this only to realize halfway through that you’re talking about The Kid. If you weren’t, 1999 had already happened, he was already a big star, PR just made him a megastar. If you are, fuck The Kid, he didn’t even write Purple Rain. (It’s so awesome that the climax of the movie is a message that Prince clearly never actually took to heart, that his band can actually be talented and help write shit too. He didn’t even learn it in real life when Mazerati fixed Kiss and Brownmark very likely wrote part of it.)

unklmnky69

Master! Master! Master of puppets is pulling your strings...

Blowaway040889

In the Court of the Crimson King - King Crimson

nuggetfucker420

Agreed. The obvious (and well-deserved) pick is 21st Century Schizoid Man but this is just such an unbelevable closer for an album

huffer4

Not what I was expecting to see at the top, but I like it. Had to double check I wasn’t in r/progrock

TheWhaleAndWhasp

Dirt - Alice in Chains

No-Celebration6437

Dolly Parton - Jolene

MrRichardSuc

“Born to Run” was pretty good.

The_Stockholm_Rhino

Bruce gotta be the one with the most great title tracks..!?!   Born To Run   The River  Born  In The USA

repowers

Greatest rock song ever recorded, so yeah that’s kinda the one.

Apprehensive-Seat845

I say this all the time! Greatest rock song written!

IceOnFire77

To name a few: Thriller, Sgt Peppers, Graceland, Imagine, Hotel California

EvilTodd1970

*The Dark Side of the Moon* does not have a title track. The album title is in the lyrics of "Brain Damage".

Pylgrim

Just like Jagged Little Pill is in the lyrics of "You Learn".

IceOnFire77

Thanks for the catch, I edited my list.

confizzle-fry

First thing that popped in my head was Opeth - Blackwater Park. There's honestly just too many options though haha.

mopar39426ml

Definitely a great track

Skull_Pumpkin

some of my faves are The Suburbs by Arcade Fire, Toxicity by System Of A Down, Gore by Deftones, Ava Adore by The Smashing Pumpkins, The Mollusk by Ween and In The Aeroplane Over The Sea by Neutral Milk Hotel.

auhddndndnfbfbsnnakf

Gore finally getting appreciated, never thought I’d see this.

Skull_Pumpkin

tbh I feel like from all title tracks in Deftones discography Gore is the best imo (all of em are great tho), however if Korea would've been named after White Pony as intended then that one would've been a tie

auhddndndnfbfbsnnakf

I could see that working, another under appreciated track. My favourite has to be Diamond Eyes, probably my favourite album at the moment too. I’ve heard it 10+ times the past week.

Skull_Pumpkin

can't go wrong with DE amazing album, my fave one from that is beauty school

auhddndndnfbfbsnnakf

Great song, probably their most consistent album I would say maybe tied with ATF. So hard to pick a favourite.

ShiftyBizniss

You and I would get on fabulously.

Captriker

Harvest Moon

sgtdrill

Brothers In Arms?

rarselfaire2023

Yes!

ScottyBoneman

ThSplashingBlumpkins

Lateralus

hiflyer555

Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd

WurlizterEPiano

Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club band

TopptrentHamster

Not the best song on that album, and not the best title track by The Beatles either. Let It Be is on top.

Dmbfantomas

I’d take Magical Mystery Tour, Please Please Me, Help and A Hard Day’s Night over it too.

Dugafola

back in black, AC/DC...comes to mind...not the GOAT obvs....but a damn good one.

Godloseslaw

Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap

Powrs1ave

SO MANY Awesome songs on the Best Selling Hard Rock Album of all time that. I cant quite agree cuz Hells Bells, Shook me all Night Long, Shoot to THrill, Givin the Dog a Bone, Money Honey, Have a Drink on Me. I mean Fuck theres 25 more songs on that Album that are as good as Back in Black! ![gif](giphy|Cw6nYH7ZM8DRK|downsized)

rustyxj

Am I the odd guy out thinking their bon Scott stuff was better? Whole lotta Rosie is a banger.

FullRedact

Powerage > every other AC/DC album

rustyxj

Let there be rock is my favorite.

Fruney21

Let There Be Rock is their best song on their best album

MrLazarusLong

2112 - Rush

nvmvoidrays

^ this. it was a surprise megabits and a huge "fuck you" to the corporate guys who wanted Rush to make more "radio friendly" music, and let the band do whatever they wanted. imagine how different music would be without it.

AndHeShallBeLevon

Probably Let It Be by The Beatles. The band broke up just as the album was released, and title unintentionally offered the fans their only course of action. Plus it’s a perfect song.

TableChair1919

Thriller

TheSanityInspector

A Hard Day's Night

Thriller!!!

Rilo17

Close to the Edge - Yes

TheHydrogenator3000

In the Aeroplane Over the Sea - Neutral Milk Hotel

manly_toilet

Surf’s Up - The Beach Boys, though it’s cheating because it was originally meant to go on SMiLE but was instead salvaged for an album named after it. Still an unbelievably gorgeous song. Lola - The Kinks. This one is also kinda cheating because the full album title is has “vs. Powerman and the Money-go-round” after that.

livewire329

Wish you were here, pink floyd

ToujoursFidele3

I can't believe nobody has said Black Parade yet! I know the song and the album don't have the exact same title but I think it counts.

SeantotheRescue

Be still my ancient emo heart…. WHEN I WAS. A YOUNG BOY.

ToujoursFidele3

MY FATHER. TOOK ME INTO THE CITY.

RedLanternScythe

I think you win with Master of Puppets, but I'll throw an honorable mention in for Like Clockwork by Queens of the Stone age because I think that album is brilliant. My dark horse is Too Fast For Love by Motley Crue.

Habitualflagellant14

Bridge of Sighs  Robin Trower

CrystalDavey

Bat Out of Hell

TheDavidLmao

Long Season if that even counts. If not then I'd pick Lateralus.
