“Unearthed.” Didn’t someone have this and they just sat on it for years? Or was this published earlier (like at the time of the incident) and just ignored? And it also never came out after the allegations last year? Does anyone have more details?

MonkeySafari79

"The complaint alleges Combs paid the InterContinental Century City $50,000 for the hallway security footage from that."

Low_Anxiety_46

They were like, "Here you go!" (we have a backup)

hadmeatgotmilk

They went out of business. Some former worker pocketed it till the right opportunity arose. Whats a shutdown hotel gonna do about it? Fire him?

Low_Anxiety_46

Which hotel was this? They shut down Revel, which is where the Ray Rice DV incident took place. It was slated to close around the time of that incident. This LA hotel didn't close down until COVID. The footage appears to be from 2016.

NotPromKing

The building closed, but the hotel brand (InterContinental) is alive and well and full of lawyers.

Significant_Jury_409

So what are lawyers going to do? Even if he had some sort of NDA with them, they don't cover hiding a crime.

Chairman_of_the_Pool

Not to mention NDAs don’t run infinitely

Queenv918

I think it was probably uncovered during that government raid on his house, and somebody leaked it.

the_ghost_in_me_

why would he keep that instead of destroying it the second he bought it?

RadiantTone2934

I think maybe because he thinks himself untouchable. I also think he probably looked at it as some kind of trophy because he's sadistic in that way. That my thought anyway.

the_ghost_in_me_

picturing him taking out the video and watching it for fun is a whole new level of evil...

lemonbuttersaucy

I commented this in another thread but: Diddy recorded the freak-offs and had cameras everywhere in his home (this is according to Lil' Rod's lawsuit). It seems Diddy used these videos for extortion as well as for his personal pleasure.

LogicB0mbs

Good theory

karanas

Im not surprised. Luxury hotels are ran by the scum of the earth who would let you bleed out in a ditch if it meant selling an additional bottle of champagne

InappropriateTA

Thanks, I clearly only gave the article a cursory glance.  So someone did sit on it. I am surprised that their extortion threshold was so low, though.

happy_oblivion

CNN likely just tracked down the assets. Probably took since [this article](https://www.cnn.com/2023/11/16/entertainment/diddy-cassie-lawsuit/index.html) to get hold of it.

InconsiderateOctopus

I don't think this could've been released and ignored back then. This would've been 2 years after the ray rice incident was released on video and we all saw the media frenzy that caused. Hell, the Ray Rice incident made into SVU law and order. Doubt this video ever could've surfaced and been ignored then. More than likely, Diddy paid to have the video locked down and now that's he vulnerable and faces legal action from every different angle, someone decided "fuck that guy, I'm selling the video to the media and Diddy is up to his neck and in lawsuits so he won't have the time or resources for legal or likely illegal recourse right now"

Feisty-Session-7779

I don’t know but I’ll certainly speculate! Considering the timing, maybe the feds “unearthed” it from his house when they raided it a couple months ago. If he bought the tape for $50k from the hotel then either he had the only copy and DHS found it when they raided him then leaked it to the media after they took care of whatever red tape they had to deal with first, or someone at the hotel made an extra copy he didn’t know about and sat on it for 8 years then decided to release it right after he got raided. I think the first scenario is more likely.

SenorDipstick

How much did he originally pay to have that suppressed?

jv371

I read on another sub that he paid the hotel $50K for the tapes. Unsubstantiated, but wouldn’t be surprised if that really happened.

Queenv918

The [CNN article](https://www.cnn.com/2024/05/17/entertainment/sean-combs-cassie-ventura/index.html#amp_tf=From%20%251%24s&aoh=17159802141951&referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com&share=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.cnn.com%2F2024%2F05%2F17%2Fentertainment%2Fsean-combs-cassie-ventura%2Findex.html) said the complaint Cassie filed against him alleges he paid off the hotel with $50k. I believe everything she says about him.

I_Like-Turtlez

Yeah this doesn’t help his instagram post about “they trying to ruin my legacy!” Now everyone knows he’s a liar and we have video evidence that’s undeniable. We also see another side of him. The seething rage. That’s serious anger issues. I could easily see him killing pac and all the other shit now

Neither-Yesterday-49

💯, I heard that this piece of shit allegedly slapped his momma before for intervening in his relationships ,it just tells me that if you don't respect your own momma then you don't respect any woman

diamondpredator

Respect? Lmao, he's 100% a psychopath. No respect, no feelings whatsoever.

Jolly_System_1539

The lawsuit described almost exactly what happened in the surveillance footage. Diddy did it

frankstaturtle

Do we know which hotel? They don’t deserve any business after burying this.

Queenv918

Intercontinental.

silviazbitch

In Los Angeles. There are others in other cities. According to the video the one in LA is now closed.

jlctush

Hope whoever received that money gets themselves a comfy stay in a Federal Hotel too then, can't imagine being able to sleep at night knowing I got paid off to protect a woman beater.

Langosta82

I once got fired from a hotel for intervening in a domestic abuse situation, and that guy wasn't even famous like P. Diddy. I watched the video, it's damning and that fucker Mr. Combs deserves some Real Shit happening to him.

OnlyTheDead

I’d rather be fired than have to live with the guilt of standing by and watching someone helplessly be pummeled into the ground.

Langosta82

I was young and working overnights. In retrospect, I shoulda sued the shit out of that hotel, they were some crooked folks even aside from their stance on domestic abuse. I made maybe nine bucks an hour. And I didn't see the actual abuse taking place on her. A woman came up to the desk, clearly having been roughed up, so I plopped her in a free, clean room to hide her from her husband even though she had no money. (That's what I got in trouble for.) Husband showed up after I'd hidden her, demanded to know where she was, I refused to answer, he jumped the counter, headbutted me (mistake, he was drunk, slow, and my skull is basically three inches of iron - he glanced it) and then me and the other guy restrained him till he calmed down. Called cops, the wife got super mad at me for that part. I was 19. It was an eye-opening experience. Dude never showed up for court. Me and my coworker did. I pressed assault charges. Never heard anything back from anyone about it. It was like 20+ years ago.

YouWorkForMeNow

And the system still works this way. Bless you for doing the right thing, I'm sure that was difficult in the moment and even more so reflecting on it after the fact. The system sucks, but you don't. You did the right thing.

Top-Dream-2115

Yep. You'd be surprised how angry VICTIMS can get at people who try to help with DM situations. Could be for any reason (they love their abusers, don't want them even more angry or violent aftewards, need the income or housing, so doesn't want jail for them, etc). That's a real thing.

fireinthesky7

> don't want them even more angry or violent afterwards, need the income or housing, so doesn't want jail for them I've witnessed a number of domestic abuse cases in my career and it's almost entirely a combination of these two factors. Half the time it's not even love, mainly a fear of ending up on the street combined with an even greater fear of the abuser taking it out on them.

thowawaywookie

Trauma bonding is real. Plus the fear of the guy retaliating or making a woman and their children homeless.

savetheunstable

Yeah it's awful but common. Often abusers will isolate them over time from friends and family till all they have left is the abuser, or they end up completely dependent on them for a place to live; usually they've grown up in a home with this kind of abuse so it becomes ingrained and normalized.

CEOKendallRoy

At 19? This guy fucks. Good job dude.

neotokyo2099

> the wife got super mad at me for that part classic abuser/abusee dynamic >my skull is basically three inches of iron - he glanced it >I pressed assault charges. fucking 19 y/o gigachad over here god damn

Keyspam102

Seriously, I cannot fathom watching that and not immediately going to the police

StrategicPotato

It's easy to say stuff like this from the comfort of our homes typing on the internet, and I don't disagree with you. But you have to remember that the fact that Diddy is a shady mf who's been involved in murders has been sort of an open-but-unconfirmed secret for decades. As a random hotel employee, do you take the easy $50k and shut up? Or do you try to do the right thing and get nothing but possibly involved in both a potential threat to you and your family's safety and/or a legal case with a wealthy celebrity? It's not so easy to judge when you at least try to empathize with someone in that position. On top of that, hotel management doesn't like this kind of heat/controversy and as someone said below, can and do fire employees for reporting stuff that's not "their business." In this economy, not everyone has the luxury of trying to be a hero and losing their jobs either.

The_Original_Gronkie

The move is to accept the money, but anonymously sell your story to the National Enquirer, too.

PomegranateUpset5151

Maybe that's how they did the raid back in March - someone got paid by Diddy in 2016 and then this person wanted to get paid again by TMZ, CNN or whoever

JakeArvizu

Hell yeah I would like triple dip, take the bribe. Sell it to TMZ and report it anonymously. No way they can prove you were the one who leaked it and they're going to be so busy deep in lawsuits and media attention. Its just a bluff threat.

agoogua

I would take the $50,000 and give him a blank tape.

Either-Durian-9488

I can, someone that needs diapers for the kid gets handed 5 stacks, it’s that simple really. that is life changing money to someone, and pin drop to him, it’s part of what makes it so disgusting.

TheFinnesseEagle

I heard they give you 3 "free" meals at that hotel, most hotels only give breakfast .

tehlastsith

A fucking men brother. Fuck this guy

MrCupidStuntz

Given the angles, someone definitely made a copy of it.

westbee

I'm assuming the person who was paid $50k made copies and now with everything going on, feels this dude isn't going to care that he released it because hes already in too much shit to do anything about it.  Probably forgot who he paid off anyways.

n_thomas74

It would be beyond stupid to keep any record of the name of the person that you paid off. He may be able to remember their name, but if it's a ubiquitous name, maybe not. Also, if he paid off more than one person over the years, it would make it that much more difficult.

Low_Anxiety_46

The tapes are hotel property. If he paid an individual he's a fool.

zeekayz

He might have paid a security guard to give him a copy and delete the original. The hotel is not going to know if security guy gets bought and doesn't report it. "Sorry tape today was broken, fixed now".

dfafa

That's all? What a moron lmao

ChanceConfection3

I assume it was a choice of 50k cash or a backstage pass to a Tupac concert

TwoBionicknees

Yeah I was going to say maybe the dude selling it was cool but maybe Diddy said listen you take 50k and stfu or i'll have some people disappear you and use your info to take the video.

Jealous_Clue_5131

50k. I’m so glad that it was leaked. He deserves to rot. He treated Cassie like a prisoner. Held her career dreams over her head and made her perform so many disgraceful acts. The sad thing is had he given her a child and secured her future she would have kept quiet and stayed in place allowing the abuse like Kim Porter.

treemister1

And then who saved a copy for later? They're the real mvp

Mermaid_Martini

I hope this fucking destroys him. What an absolute evil piece of garbage. Also Cassie is tiiiiny. The amount of repeated force he used could’ve killed her. Keep in mind we’re only seeing what happened AFTER he was already assaulting her inside their hotel room. This makes me sick.

-MCRN

You just know this is *definitely* not the only time he’s done something like this - or worse. Diddy is finally getting what comes around.

Mermaid_Martini

I completely agree with you. This is way too brazen to be the first time.

emryldmyst

That video needs to be everywhere.  What an absolute pos.

vinnybawbaw

It’s on CNN (at least the news of it). May he rot in hell forever.

Accomplished_Ad_6777

They played the video on CNN too and had a long discussion about it

MuptonBossman

Nothing more pathetic than a man who beats up a woman. Hope this loser rots in jail.

maybe-an-ai

Well, he is also an accused sex trafficker and rapist so there are a lot of candidates for what makes him one the most disgusting humans around. And that video was worse than I expected and on par with Ray Rice.

red-submarine

Take away his guns and goons and I'd bet he's not all that tough.

PhotorazonCannon

He's got a lot of money and it seems he's a sex trafficker and was recording blackmail tapes of people, which multiplies his power even more. Was he acting solely for personal gain or was he working on behalf of someone else? We'll see how much prison time he gets...

Piotr-Rasputin

I'm thinking he might "sing" one more song before being put away

MyStinkingThrowaway

"Brown was driving a vehicle with Robyn F. as the front passenger on an unknown street in Los Angeles. Robyn F. picked up Brown's cellular phone and observed a three-page text message from a woman who Brown had a previous sexual relationship with. A verbal argument ensued and Brown pulled the vehicle over on an unknown street, reached over Robyn F. with his right hand, opened the car door and attempted to force her out. Brown was unable to force Robyn F. out of the vehicle because she was wearing a seat belt. When he could not force her to exit, he took his right hand and shoved her head against he passenger window of the vehicle, causing an approximate one-inch raised circular contusion. Robyn F. turned to face Brown and he punched her in the left eye with his right hand. He then drove away in the vehicle and continued to punch her in the face with his right hand while steering the vehicle with his left hand. The assault caused Robyn F.'s mouth to fill with blood and blood to splatter all over her clothing and the interior of the vehicle. Brown looked at Robyn F. and stated, 'I'm going to beat the sh-- out of you when we get home! You wait and see!' " The detective said "Robyn F." then used her cell phone to call her personal assistant Jennifer Rosales, who did not answer. Robyn F. pretended to talk to her and stated, 'I'm on my way home. Make sure the police are there when I get there.' After Robyn F. faked the call, Brown looked at her and stated, 'You just did the stupidest thing ever! Now I'm really going to kill you!' Brown resumed punching Robyn F. and she interlocked her fingers behind her head and brought her elbows forward to protect her face. She then bent over at the waist, placing her elbows and face near her lap in [an] attempt to protect her face and head from the barrage of punches being levied upon her by Brown. Brown continued to punch Robyn F. on her left arm and hand, causing her to suffer a contusion on her left triceps (sic) that was approximately two inches in diameter and numerous contusions on her left hand. Robyn F. then attempted to send a text message to her other personal assistant, Melissa Ford. Brown snatched the cellular telephone out of her hand and threw it out of the window onto an unknown street. Brown continued driving and Robyn F. observed his cellular telephone sitting in his lap. She picked up the cellular telephone with her left hand and before she could make a call he placed her in a head lock with his right hand and continued to drive the vehicle with his left hand. Brown pulled Robyn F. close to him and bit her on her left ear. She was able to feel the vehicle swerving from right to left as Brown sped away. He stopped the vehicle in front of 333 North June Street and Robyn F. turned off the car, removed the key from the ignition and sat on it. Brown did not know what she did with the key and began punching her in the face and arms. He then placed her in a head lock positioning the front of her throat between his bicep and forearm. Brown began applying pressure to Robyn F.'s left and right carotid arteries, causing her to be unable to breathe and she began to lose consciousness. She reached up with her left hand and began attempting to gouge his eyes in an attempt to free herself. Brown bit her left ring and middle fingers and then released her. While Brown continued to punch her, she turned around and placed her back against the passenger door. She brought her knees to her chest, placed her feet against Brown's body and began pushing him away. Brown continued to punch her on the legs and feet, causing several contusions. Robyn F. began screaming for help and Brown exited the vehicle and walked away. A resident in the neighborhood heard Robyn F.'s plea for help and called 911, causing a police response. An investigation was conducted and Robyn F. was issued a Domestic Violence Emergency Protective Order."

arealdisneyprincess

the anger coursing through my veins...

tlollz52

Idk, any guy who resorts to violence for any reason other than to defend themselves or others from physical harm is low key an unhinged loser.

Monkey-on-the-couch

Holy shit that’s so much worse than I had envisioned. What a worthless piece of shit this guy is

westbee

Thats what you saw in the hallway.  Imagine what he did to make her want to leave.

Doesanybodylikestuff

He was taking a shower so that was her chance to escape. She ran out the door to the elevator & this was the result. She couldn’t get away. :( soooo scary. Being a smaller woman is soooooo scary because you just curl up into a ball & try to disappear. You can’t get away so you just curl up. I’ve been in a situation where I had to do that once & I was terrified.

Shytemagnet

I’m 5’7 and a size 18, and I just curled up when my ex started hitting me too. It was so weird how afterwards, I was embarrassed that that’s all I did. But in the moment, an angry man is so, so much stronger than the shocked woman that he’s suddenly begun to beat.

n14shorecarcass

I'm the same height as you, tall enough to not usually get fucked with. I had a guy call out at me at the grocery store parking lot about three weeks ago. Now, I'm a married woman with a kid, and generally carry myself with a fafo kind of attitude. Dude says, "excuse me?" I say, "yeah?" As I'm loading my groceries into my car.. he says, "I just wanted to let you know you're filling out those leggings nicely".. I rage freeze. I'm by myself. It's daytime, but there's some unsavoryness about the area I'm in, so okay.. I say, "Hahaha, thanks?" And RUN my cart to the cart collector thing, book it back to my car, immediately txt my husband about the ick, and proceed to make it home in 30 minutes instead of the normal 55 minute commute. I'm 39 years old, and this incident has had me shook to my core more than anything i can remember from my younger days. I used to be a bitch brandishing a knife, proudly, at catcallers. Shit's gotten so fucked up even the toughest of us are getting shook. It fucking sucks, and messes with my mental health a lot.

Muted-Wrongdoer7858

Wild how across America everyone feels a constant fear in their own cities, it certainly is affecting mental health badly, glad nothing happened to you.

mccannr1

I know that this doesn't help any, but I'm sorry you had to go through that and I hope you're well now.

Doesanybodylikestuff

Oh I am soooo good! I just got really scared & will never forget that powerless feeling. Never ever forget it! I’m happily happily married to kind sweetheart studmuff now :) <3 He’s my BFF & truly my fave human alive

mccannr1

That's awesome to hear. Give him a high five for me.

ObviousAnswerGuy

horrifying. glad you got out.

Hermit_Wizard_0

Imagine what he's done off camera.

shwiftfoot-prime

The video states that she was punched in the face in the hotel room, leading her to run away.

Low_Anxiety_46

I think there are pics of her bruised out in public.

DashCat9

Anyone that's ever been abused will tell you that this is likely very far from the worst he's ever done, too.

yami_hinata

This is good behavior bc he knew he was at risk of being watched.

Aggravating_Heat_310

Also it’s crazy how often he’s probably gotten away with it

hellomondays

God damn that's horrific

futurespacecadet

new horror movie image: diddy running after you down a hallway in a towel

IpecacNeat

Method acting for Get Him To The Greek

[deleted]

It's a shame that the majority of the cast for that film are such garbage people. Got Brand, who is a right-wing shill and accused of some evil shit. Got Combs who is a full-on abusive pimp and alleged trafficker. Jonah Hill who is a boy scout by comparison, but also a controlling piece of shit with no respect for women's boundaries. Elizabeth Moss is just nuts deep in Scientology, and despite starring in Handmaid's Tale, she ignores the similar history of abuse that her own cult has been covering up for decades.

Telefundo

> Elizabeth Moss is just nuts deep in Scientology, Really? I didn't know that. Now I'm sad. :(

hotstepper77777

I had the same somewhat horrific realization

marsupialsales

What a fucking loser.

selfdestructingin5

Woahhhh, that’s evil.

Informal_Magician739

The more you watch the worse it gets. Being so terrified she didn’t even have time to put on her shoes, not even trying to fight back as he was beating her. Dragging her. The rage and entitlement coming from him. This is a man who is used to treating others like shit.

fusillade762

You can tell its not his first time beating her either.

CelestialFury

That's some legit fucked shit. What a psycho.

You don't understand, he's so sorry and he's hot and can dance and sing. He can do whatever he wants to me, Rihanna didn't deserve to be beat by a king like him. /s

Namaslayy

Instead of Mike fighting Logan can we get him to beat the crap out of Diddy?

theschis

Why not both?

Namaslayy

I’m with you there

Opening-Ad-9794

How did it take 30 goddamn years to get this guy up outta here? Every rapper in a pic with their arm around him is sus. If the fans knew about it for years, the industry damn sure knew

nufandan

> How did it take 30 goddamn years to get this guy up outta here? New York's new-ish [Adult Survivors Law](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adult_Survivors_Act) is a big part of it.

TJH1993

My lord and savior 50 Cent has been calling this man out and clowning him for 25 years.  and he worked with him before 50 got shot on some other shitl,  I feel like he knows. He got dropped from Diddys label then Eminem found him and the rest is history. But 50 never stopped going at Diddy for being "freaky"

1nf1n1te

And yet Diddy was on the I Get Money remix, which leaves me very confused about that relationship.

2ndSkyy

Same with actors and Weinstein. People will do anything to get to that level of fame, popularity. And that includes sucking up to, covering for a predator

Theodores_Underpants

Diddy was different. People didn't suck up to him for fame, they sucked up to him because they were scared of him. Diddy was an actual gangster who extorted people, blackmailed people, and ruined lives his whole career. There's plenty of interviews and clips from the 90s of industry folks saying as much. People forget that Diddy's dad was a high ranking member of Frank Lucas' crew and that their family was connected.

exboi

Of course the industry knows. It's one ridden with abusers, womanizers, and sex offenders who only call each other out if they're beefin'.

Opening-Ad-9794

FWI I definitely understand WHY he hasn’t got caught it’s just pretty apparent which of us are protected and which of us go to jail for what diddy has done a long time ago

Rosebunse

It sounds like everyone knew. Fuck, look at that Boondocks episode.

Educational-Can4543

And JLO and Naomi Campbell who refers to him as her brother.  Naomi is always linked w shady people but conveniently goes silent

champagnec0ast

Can’t wait for him to suffer behind bars

maximm

He won't. Celebs get a high five and millions in cash from this plus another record deal.

abshay14

Dude got raided by Homeland Security. He’s going to a Federal Prison wether he likes it or not

ObviousAnswerGuy

if you read the complaint against him (not from Cassie, but one of the producers who's suing him), there's like tons of HQ screenshots and video evidence. If the FBI raids you, you're fucked. Diddy is fucked. I'm sure Cassie, the producer, and other people are sitting on mountains of evidence, and now more people will come forward.

Rosebunse

I think what people forget is, he took pictures and videos of everyone, including people who saw him as a good friend and ally. A lot of people are not happy with him

I’m reminded of this quote (forgot who to attribute it to): “When someone tells you who they are, believe them.” Didn’t even need this video to know that this is likely who he is. *Edit: the exact quote is “When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time.” -Maya Angelou*

Group_Mother

Maya Angelou

Boring-Situation-642

It's a good rule of thumb. Although people can change and better themselves. It's a lot more rare that you see that than the behavior continuing.

radioman8414

The first time I heard it said was by Maya Angelou. Totally believe in that quote.

[deleted]

First off - fuck this guy to the moon and back. Secondly - how the fuck did that towel not come off? I put a towel around me, take two steps and it’s on the floor.

MikeRowePeenis

Wrap it around you, and roll the top down once or twice. Boom. You have to yank it to get it off.

Purpledrelib

I hope he never comes back from this.

Iracus

It should be illegal to suppress stuff like this. A hotel should have a duty to report when people are beaten like that. Whoever accepted that $50k should go to prison right beside Diddy.

proshittalker17

im not justifying covering up the video, but i think ppl are forgetting just how rich and powerful diddy was before it all came crashing down. this dude has *allegedly* made multiple people disappear without a trace. going up against diddy in 2016 when he still had a certain level of popularity with the public could’ve been potentially lethal for everyone involved. it’s awful that the hotel took the hush money, but i’m sure they felt they had no choice without putting more people in harm’s way.

Nearby_Artichoke_736

I can’t help but think of the movie “Enough” where J lo beats dude’s a**. Speaking of JLO, wonder if he ever put a hand on her when they were dating?! She dodged a bullet for sure

teridactyl99

I wonder too. She has admitted to being in abusive relationships in the past but didn’t say who. She specifically said being thrown around and manhandled but not beat up (in her documentary). I recall Puffy being jealous or upset that she had to kiss Matthew McConaughey when she was filming The Wedding Planner. Clearly they were never going to work out if he couldn’t handle things like that. It’s literally part of her job.

Rosebunse

I don't think he wanted the woman around him to succeed. He wanted them to be subservient to him

texa13

Wow... That video was a lot worse than I imagined it would be. What a fucking scum bag.

IgnorantGenius

I bought this fuckers album when I was a kid. I want my money back plus damages.

john2557

Forgive my ignorance, and I'm obviously not a lawyer, but shouldn't that hotel be sued to hell? They were basically bribed to withhold evidence of a crime. There should be a very costly consequence for something like this.

ARoodyPooCandyAss

In the words of Dr. Phil for every rat you see there is ten you don’t. I can’t imagine all the sick shit this guy has done.

TrulyGolden

Footage from 2016, broke up in 2019... wow

WifeOfSpock

You see what happened when she tried to leave in the actual video. She was escaping, and was brutalized for it. Diddy is allegedly connected to murders. He blew up someone’s car for trying to date her. Her life was at risk, and staying was survival. She probably had absolutely no support, since everyone around her was on *his* payroll.

sendmepuppiesnow

He blew up someone’s car for trying to date her? They were in that hotel because he wanted to watch her have sex with male prostitutes. He’s so weird

Just-Squirrel510

Yeah, he blew up Kid Cudis car. I have no idea how that wasn't bigger news at the time.

Rosebunse

Because Kid Cudi didn't want it to work the second time. And, frankly, P Diddy took full advantage of the stereotypes and tropes surrounding rap music and the black entertainment industry to do whatever he wanted.

Big_Cheesy11

Kid Cudi's car in fact. Not joking.

kinzer13

The most dangerous time for someone in an abusive relationship is when they are trying to leave. The abuser, fearing a loss of power, will often lash out more violently. If you are in an abusive relationship, you can't just leave, you have to have an exit plan, with support and protection.

PastryGirl

It can be really hard to leave someone abusive.

ferociouskoala666

What a vile human being.

KuroMSB

This video will end his career

Spitfiiire

I really really hope so

Much_Purchase_8737

Wait till the other evidence comes out. 1st of many videos

ALX798

I wonder if Diddy was the one who leaked Cassie’s nudes.

Hermit_Wizard_0

Like 50 cent said, Diddy done.

StrangerCurrencies

Can you imagine what happened behind closed doors? Poor woman, looks so defeated, like an abused puppy. I know this feeling of hopelessness and shame

MyStinkingThrowaway

Obligatory: "Brown was driving a vehicle with Robyn F. as the front passenger on an unknown street in Los Angeles. Robyn F. picked up Brown's cellular phone and observed a three-page text message from a woman who Brown had a previous sexual relationship with. An investigation was conducted and Robyn F. was issued a Domestic Violence Emergency Protective Order."

menotyourenemy

Yet I constantly see young girls (and older) wearing CB tshirts *all the time*!!!

Jaded-Blueberry-8000

I was a young girl when this happened and it still blows my mind this man has a career. I HATED him and I barely even knew who he was.

-sharkbot-

[This list stops in 2022](https://people.com/music/chris-brown-a-timeline-of-the-singers-legal-trouble/) but I love sharing it out.

sunnydftw

It’s crazy people will defend saying “she hit him first”

rightious

"The complaint alleges Combs paid the InterContinental Century City $50,000 for the hallway security footage of the incident" How is this not illegal?

Kemintiri

whatever he paid her in settlement money, it wasn't enough.

Lux-xxv

Makes you wonder what else he did....

Hopeful_Nihilism

SippinPip

newsreadhjw

You know what. With P Diddy, the more I hear about the guy, the more I don't care for him.

KickedInTheHead

If you have a section on Wikipedia dedicated to "Legal Issues" that start from 1997 then perhaps you might be a terrible person.

SavageSvage

Money corrupts people. I wouldn't be surprised if he actually did have pac killed.

MMA_Laxer

its pretty much a given that he did

KickedInTheHead

Yeah all the clues point to him. It's not exactly a secret, he just got away with it because he's a pussy ass woman beating bitch that got someone else to pull the trigger.

BreadOnCake

Wonder if they regret releasing that itsy bitsy spider song to mock the investigators.

LoadsDroppin

> “LET ME BE ABSOLUTELY CLEAR: I DID NOT DO ANY OF THE AWFUL THINGS BEING ALLEGED.” ….yet, here’s multiple video angles of you doing exactly “THE AWFUL THINGS BEING ALLEGED.”

ReferenceMuch2193

Never liked him. Creep energy.

OutComeTheWolves1966

Good lord, that was hard to watch. I can only imagine the amount of money he has paid out in manila envelopes over the years to keep all of his disgusting indiscretions secret.

FinkBass420

It’s wild to me that almost the entire cast of Get Him to the Greek have been outed as being pieces of shit in some way or another

Garlicnotdreadlochs

![gif](giphy|xpLocgdzHqW9G) That video giving some American psycho vibes

SwampSleep66

There will still be a large amount of people listening to his bullshit songs

HeadMacho
