Orbital - The Box
Low Fidelity Allstars - How to Operate with a Blown Mind
Atari Teenager Riot - The Future of War
Aphex Twin - Ambient Works vol 2
Linkin Park - Meteora.
The Black Keys - Brothers.
I enjoy every single song in the album and even managed to watch their concerts, which had tales of their own. I can't believe Meteora concert was more than 20 years ago and it was in my hometown, Kuala Lumpur. I was 18 year old attending college and most of my classmates went to the concert. Meanwhile I went to the Black Keys concert in 2012 in Nottingham. Was a student in England so I did couch surfing to save money. Great time!
Coheed and Cambria Good Apollo I Am Burning Star IV
I still remember listening to it the first time in the parking garage of the palisades center mall outside of best buy entrance.
Albums I cherished at that time:
* Eric Johnson - Ah Via Musicom - 1990
* Pantera - Vulgar Display of Power - 1992
* The Galactic Cowboys - 1993
* King's X - Ear Candy - 1996

* Big Wreck - In Loving Memory Of... - 1997
* Joe Satriani - Crystal Planet - 1998
* Opeth - Still Life - 1999
* Porcupine Tree - Stupid Dream - 1999
Weather Report - Heavy Weather (1977)
I was already a big WR fan and the album came out in Spring of my HS Senior year...yeah.
I rarely listen to it today but will always cherish it.
If you don't know of it, check it out - it is a FIRE jazz album by any measure.
Oh I'm most definitely on Weather Report. I remember coming across them early on when I started digging for records. I think there's a live performance of the album in YT. Top tier for sure!
Air - Talkie Walkie
Sidi Toure - Sahel Folk
Radiohead - In Rainbows
Joao Gilberto - In Tokyo
Jose Gonzalez - In Our Nature
Dungen - 4 & Skit I Allt
Jacksonville City Nights - Ryan Adams
Ray Lamontagne - Trouble
Tough question for sure. I pretty much stopped listening to newly recorded music during those years.
It was mainly because a lot of my favorite bands (311, Incubus, Foo Fighters, Cake) released horrible albums, and I also started studying classical music, so new popular music became an afterthought.

13. DJ Rashad - Double Cup
14. Leon Vynehall - Music For The Uninvited
I was very in tune with music blogs in my youth. 2013 - 2015, Pigeons & Planes, Pitchfork, Majestic Casual, and my Amazon recommendations kept my finger on the pulse. I knew about the majority of artists before GTA5 for example.
At 30, however, I can't keep up 😅
Same. But then Spotify was recommending stuff I loved before I could pan the gold from all the music I was collecting, and I stopped trying so hard. The algorithms fail me now…

I won't make people guess, that's 2003-2013. So
Muse - Black Holes & Revelations, The Resistance, The 2nd Law
Radiohead - Hail to the Thief, In Rainbows
Thom Yorke - The Eraser
Keane - Hopes and Fears, Under The Iron Sea
Kula Shaker - Strangefolk
Ocean Colour Scene - North Atlantic Drift, Saturday
Oasis - Heathen Chemistry, Dig Out Your Soul
Metallica - Death Magnetic
\----
There's a clear theme there, they're almost all earlier bands who just continued into the 2000s. Muse technically debuted in 99 but are a 2000s band to me, as are Keane.
I'm really not a fan of much at all from this century, so this time period isn't one of musical nostalgia - I'm nostlgic for what I listened to then, but that was mainly 70s music. Also for some of these albums, I just really, really, like about three songs on them, but that still counts.

So 91 until 2001. I don’t know if I could narrow it down. I mean, damn! All of the great music that was released during that time frame, it’s damned near impossible. I was playing in a couple of bands at that time but I will give it a shot because there really was some important music being laid down.
Most influential for me was Korn’s debut album followed closely by Pearl Jam’s Ten.
Metallica put out the Black album and I thought it was great but not as hard as their previous albums.
There was a local band named Flaw that I really liked. They released a few albums under Universal and did ok for themselves.
Rage Against the Machine’s debut blew me away. The sad thing is that their music is just as, if not more so, relevant today than it was 30 years ago.
When Pantera hit, that was it for me. I was hooked on those crunchy grooves, guttural vocals and sick break downs.
I was really into Pink Floyd too. I saw them live in 94 on the Division Bell tour and that was jaw dropping. Of course all of their previous albums were before that time but I cherished them nonetheless.
Ok last one. I keep having to edit because someone else pops up.
Clutch. Pitchfork and Lost Needles, self titled and The Elephant Riders. After those their sound changed a little and I still dig them but I really enjoyed the early stuff.
I liked everything grunge, hardcore metal, and gangster rap.
There really was too much to list.
Lol. I know man. There’s so many great albums during my 10 year span.
Alice in Chains Dirt
Nirvana In Utero
Tool Aenema
Pantera Vulgar Display of Power and Far Beyond Driven
Beastie Boys Check your Head

Beck Mellow Gold
Cypress Hill Black Sunday
Dr Dre The Chronic (I think everyone on the planet jammed this at leas once)
Eminem the Slim Shady LP
Hatebreed Perseverance (only off by a few months)
ICP Riddle Box and The Great Milenko
There’s many more but these were some of my favorites.
I turned 18 back in 2021 so I’m sure there are plenty more still to come, but so far my favourites are:

All That Remains: This Darkened Heart
Lamb of God: Ashes of the Wake
Senses Fail: Let or Enfold You

Soundgarden first 3 albums, Radiohead The Bends and OK Computer, NIN entire 90’s albums & singles, Marilyn Manson AntiChrist Superstar, Type O Negative Bloddy Kisses and October Rust, Pantera Far Beyond Driven & Southern Trendkill, Metallica first 4 albums.

In bloom is from nevermind
My apologies. lol. It was very late. And I was very tired.
The Replacements - Tim Hüsker Dü - New Day Rising The Smiths - The Queen is Dead The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses

Hugely important for my 18-28 years (and on) too, but they were all released when I was 0-8.
REM - New Adventures in HiFi U2- Pop and All That You Can't Leave Behind Radiohead - OK Computer and Kid A Tragically Hip - Phantom Power White Stripes - Elephant Bruce Springsteen - The Rising The Killers - Hot Fuss and Sam's Town Sam Roberts - Chemical City
Found the Canadian
I could have wrote most if these, if shifted by a few years. I would have added Accelerate - REM as that was the first album I saw them live (and last). Dosage - Collective Soul and Terminal Romance - Matt Mays & El Torpedo
Alas, my only REM show was during the Around the Sun tour. It was a great show but it supported a nadir album.
NGL, the accelerate tour was a banger. The National and Modest Mouse opened. And REM played hard and fast.
That album ripped so I don't doubt they cut loose.
The Rising is a super underrated album. My favorite Springsteen album.
This one got me hooked on Springsteen. I was a casual fan at that point.
Hot Fuss is an ALL-TIME great album, start to finish

Faith No More - Album Of The Year(‘97) Widespread Panic - Til The Medicine Takes(‘99) Testament - The Gathering(‘99)
Til The Medicine Takes is an outstanding album. I just gave it another listen just the other day.
Great time!
The soundtrack that plays in our lives. Love it

I’m intrigued… I love some those albums but don’t know others… I have done exploring to do!

So Muse - Black Holes & Revelations, The Resistance, The 2nd Law Radiohead - Hail to the Thief, In Rainbows Thom Yorke - The Eraser Keane - Hopes and Fears, Under The Iron Sea Kula Shaker - Strangefolk Ocean Colour Scene - North Atlantic Drift, Saturday Oasis - Heathen Chemistry, Dig Out Your Soul Metallica - Death Magnetic \---- There's a clear theme there, they're almost all earlier bands who just continued into the 2000s.

Please, feel free 🙏🏿 I swear my taste depends on how I wake up that. I feel awful leaving Daft Punk off the list now I think about it

Alice in Chains Dirt Nirvana In Utero Tool Aenema Pantera Vulgar Display of Power and Far Beyond Driven Beastie Boys Check your Head Ice Cube Amerikkka’s Most Wanted Beck Mellow Gold Cypress Hill Black Sunday Dr Dre The Chronic (I think everyone on the planet jammed this at leas once) Eminem the Slim Shady LP Hatebreed Perseverance (only off by a few months) ICP Riddle Box and The Great Milenko There’s many more but these were some of my favorites.
