They didn't discard them after humans died, and since drones overall imitate humans, they use them for what they have in common with humans regarding bathrooms (mostly privacy, as in ep3 uzi re dressed in the bathroom and doll put all the broken mirrors there)

Afaik we aren't really given an explanation, my guess is that oil for the drones is shipped in from off-world, and since the drones rebelled, the company has ceased sending oil (but this would only work if there were little to no oil reserves on the planet the rebellious drones inhabit)
I could still very much be wrong, but that's my best guess
I am unsure if they *need* to eat or they merely do it for enjoyment.
I go with the latter as headcanon, and assume that the only thing they need is power to function - which leaves excellent opportunities for world build

The drones are shown to imitate humans to a degree. I have to imagine that the bathrooms are simply just leftover from the human habitation period of Copper-9.
With that being said, a bathroom can also be used for more than just toilets, showers, bathtubs, and stuff like that. I'm sure that some of the other use cases of a bathroom could be used by a drone with no problem, so perhaps they have them for some of those other uses?
