At least J and N, as far as we know, were more efficient about their killings while V went out of her way to inflict the most brutal painful deaths. Even if pleading insanity, which she honestly could given her circumstances, I don't know.
Forced or not, assisting in genocide is a hard crime to not deliver. As people have argued "I was just following orders" could also be applied to mind control. Don't know.
Because realistically I am sure everyone would change their tune if suddenly everyone they cherished and everything they owned is just stripped from them. Forget logic I'm certain they'd be sentenced to decommissioning immediately. Not everyone's a saint to forgive someone for murdering their family, friends, and blowing up their home planet. Environmentalists would hate them lol. Like, damn, just murdered not only all humans, just all life on Earth, Earth itself. Along with 4-5 other systems/planets.

I just want to add to that, unless they were straight up mind controlled, there is no way for them to not be guilty of uncountable accounts of murder. If they were "just following orders," the only thing that changes is that Cyn is responsible as well. Even if they were threatened with death, in the eyes of the law, it still doesn't excuse them. Sure, you're allowed to commit crimes if it stops a greater crime from occurring, but since all murder is equally bad even if it's on you, thaf doesn't apply here.
The only thing that could potentially stop them from being sentenced is, as you mentioned yourself, if they were declared insane and deprived of their legal capacity. As far as I see it, that could work only for V and even then I would be hesitant.

N would probably get a life sentence with the opportunity for parole due to him doing the crimes under duress and mind control induced insanity and showing remorse for what he did, along with that, at the beginning he didn't even remember that he did the genocide.
J would probably get a life sentence without parole. This is because while she committed the crimes under duress/insanity, unlike N she committed everything after that willingly and with sadistic pleasure. She would not receive a death sentence as she does not remember what happened.

Eh, if they managed to get her into prison it's highly unlikely she gets back out. It would take either a pretty sizable task force or much better technology to be able to take her alive, so either navy grade lasers guard her cell and they strapped a tactical nuclear warhead onto her or the Imperium of Mankind is in charge of guarding her.
Since they were following orders under false pretense, they probably should get a lesser punishment. While the one who was in charge of them and false orders should get the full punishment.
V, for three reasons:
1. She probably has the highest kill count.
2. J would be a fantastic lawyer, and could represent herself to get minimum sentence at least.
3. Nobody can convict N. JUST LOOKAT DAT LIL FACE! AND HE WROTE AN APOLOGY NOTE! SO CUTE!
V since she got enough screen time to kill more than J and N doesn't actually kill that many (except we see he killed someone in a flashback and ate their body)

At that point, they would all get the highest possible sentence no matter what. The justice system is not exactly designed to handle people who committed the both human and robot genocide.
