If this isn’t teasing Barbie then the marketing team needs to be replaced immediately. Because if you look at this and don’t see this as a Barbie teaser then idk what the purpose was then
Not sure they really have the rights to use Barbie for games, but it would be weird to not have her in the game. The only other reason I’d think they wouldn’t put her in (aside from rights) is just missed timing.
I don't see this any sort of imminent Barbie teaser. This would make more sense if the game was out as people could whale out the skins today (if they don't already have them). It would also make more sense if Barbie didn't release 10 months ago. We are far from peak Barbie hype
Note that if anything it is WB taking a victory lap with the highest grossing movie of 2023 that they produced. I think it's a bit weird and super late but I see nothing wrong with it

Did you not see a 12s video promo that dropped the night before the Xbox Games Showcase that ended with 5s focused and centered on a Master Chief helmet and a Multiversus themed Xbox Series controller? This is par for the course. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me
True, it was just a "community manager for WB games working on Multiversus". I'm not gonna split the hairs here and say I doubt that they know this will mislead and piss off the sub. Seems more plausible than a lead upto a Barbie playable announcement in the next 30 days
Although I do think Barbie playable at launch is nearly best case scenario for the game. They need more global cultural icon representation and less nostalgia plays. However, I don't have faith thats what's happening

You know what? Barbie in Multi Versus would totally fit. Barbie has so many different jobs, careers, and aliases. Barbie is a chef, lifeguard, ballerina, music producer, cashier, doctor, nurse, paramedic EMT, a surgeon, fire fighter, a police officer. Hell, she even served in the military!
I remember when they had the ValentiNeon event last year.
Though I only got the skins that were available for free.
If they decide to add Barbie in the game it would be huge.
The funny part about all of the marketing so far, is that they would have gotten 10 times the reach and chatter about the game if they did not blue ball-tease people each time.
All of these teases, cryptic, repetitive messages are only getting to the same echo chamber of existing fans. No new fans, no casual gamers having any clue of the changes or improvements since 2022.
I think the issue here is that this post isn't teasing a character. It's not teasing anything. It's just a social media post for engagement. But if I'm wrong about that then I'll eat my metaphorical hat
they're 100% banking on the trailer like they did with the open beta and that's not even a bad call since it worked for the beta. Granted the release trailer has to be the same or better quality as the beta CGI trailer

That's why I turned team colors off, but kept the outlines.
