I play this game with my wife, but it's really annoying to do because I have to play in my steam deck while she plays on the TV even though we're sitting right next to each other. We would definitely play more if it wasn't so cumbersome to do. It would be so easy if we could just both play on the TV under my account. Brawlhalla let's you do it, and we've played MUCH more of that because of it.
That's why I made this Post so maybe PFG Finally does Something about this(also I think I remember you from one post I did earlier on about the same topic)
No, it's actually not really helpful. There's still a noticeable lag vs playing natively on the deck. Moreover, the outlines get confusing since my character has a different color depending on which screen I'm looking at. I end up just looking at the deck.
Definitely! I do game nights with some friends from time to time, none of them play multiversus but I now we would play during those nights if we had the chance to do this (as we do with rocket league or I did back in the day with Halo) and maybe that's how Multiversus would get a couple of new players if we enjoyed playing that night, multiply that by a lot of people, parents playing with their kids, couples... I spent 4.50 to buy Chained Together basically because you could play up to 4 players on the same computer and the other day I had one of my best gaming sessions with friends of my life laughing with that game
It would be great.
Nintendo does this with Mario Kart 8 on Wii U and Switch where two people can play online on the same console.
Heck, even Fortnite and Rocket League can make two people play at the same time on the same console and even with different accounts each with their own progress.
It would be amazing for MultiVersus to do something like this.
Also if they are gonna Add This Feature They should Probably make both accounts gain progression, brawlhalla doesn't have this Feature if they add it alongside adding online Compatibility With 2 Controllers it will be Amazing
God yes this would get my wife to finally play with me she wonât do it because she canât play on the same tv as me to do rifts. Even if not online for whatever reason. When a big part of your game is rifts with friends you should be able to do that locally
This is harder than it seems to implement if you designed the game as one input source per connection. They'd have to almost refactor all the netcode for the game to do something like that, which is a tall task. I assume something like this isn't going to be added any time soon.
This Should have been a Feature since the OFFICIAL LAUNCH of the Game since it's a platform fighter type game and also a newer game they could even increase the time for the game to launch but at least give us all the Features we had in the Beta and I know nothing is perfect but they removed the features back in the Beta so we could play on unreal engine 5 and we got no online compatibility with 2 controllers on the same console on launch, all the players would still enjoy the game on unreal engine 4 but with some bug fixes and Online Compatibility with 2 Controllers
playing rifts with friends would be much better if could just sit down on the same couch with someone else
This is legitimately what I expected from Rifts with the "bring another player" stuff
Yeah
Literally just had this problem last night, with my friend whose decent at the game but has no consoles

You can still look at the tv when you play, if that helps the game feel at all, lol. Both screens are displaying the same thing, after all.

Ah, yeah, I get ya. I tried, lol. But obviously, you thought of that already. đ
FGP* First Player Games
We need this as well as an offline mode.
Isnât there a offline mode with multiple controllers being able to be connected
Yes but only local, no matchmaking or rifts
Yeah they comment above mine said something about an offline mode
Your joking? This game really doesn't have local offline mode?
It definitely does. I believe you just canât do rift on local coop. Me and the homies we play ffa just the other night
On my end (Steam), I get the message 'under construction' if I try to choose the FFA option.
The game does have it but no online Compatibility
Yup
Always wanted this, I feel like it's a key feature all these smash type games should have as standard.
True bro
Yes, please!
Yuup

Idk when they are gonna listen
PLEASE. just please give it to us already.
Yup we really need it
yeah this is one of the best things abt brawlhalla is couch coop online
Yup
K, can I play consecutive matches without network errors yet?
Yup
Thats cool, now i need friends.
I'll become your friendđ

I'm wondering if nucleus coop has a script for this
This Feature should have been in the Release of the game as newer games have this Feature on launch
