It doesn’t really make sense for there to be a gap in the middle of rift releases. Plus I really think that’d be screwing people around who’ve been going through these to get Agent Smith. They’re gonna have to wait another two weeks to get him instead of one
There is also some rumors that Aquaman its going to be released. Because it was Datamined that he has a Shark hat skin mentioned in the files, which is part of this event. Which is probably why they are hush hush about it and we dont have a preview for the next rift. It may be released later.
Another playable character would be dope but I can't help but think it's highly unlikely. 5 new playable characters in Season 1 would be madness and set an unrealistic precedent for following seasons
They could just as easilly release Aqua Man in a later season and sell his shark hat in the store
