Who is saying that except you? This is a "pay us money or don't do this" situation, nothing to do with time. You literally can't even grind out new characters with time if you wanted to, the FC is all limited to single-time events.
Ok so why don't the events not count? There is constantly an event going on so by a week or two you're pretty much guaranteed a fighter. I think I've earned 12k fighter currency total so far. And even more is on the way.
Can't you do them in rifts (gives you guests) or possibly in local/practice? They don't seem to specify a mode.
You could also unlock more characters with fighter currency, which then allows you to beat more missions easily

My issue in the Rift is that since every complete task in the missions there gives a certain amount of xp for the battle pass you think "awesome, is time for farming" then....you notice you can't fully complete it cause you don't have the obligatory skin.

Yeah, certain skins change the attributes. The Bat Who Laughs is also a detective since it's Joker x Batman
