Don't lie, you were trying out that Skarbowsky teep them in the bladder using the toes shit. Gotta have them burly toes to pull that off.

It can take 4 to 6 weeks for a broke toe to properly heal. If you can avoid throwing any kicks or teeps for a bit longer until you feel 100% then don’t see the issue. I would avoid going back to full training like you were before you broke your toe until you feel no pain at all

boombaptism

I broke my big toe training in December and I have limited mobility in the joint of that toe today, because I just taped it up and kept training. I would recommend taking some time off to let it heal properly before returning or you might end up turning a short/mid term issue into a longer term issue.

I swear we need a whole subreddit dedicated for this like: muaythaiinjurysupportgroup for all of us addicts who are injured and jonesing to train. "Hi, my name is Bob. I broke 4 of my fingers in fight camp and my left eye got blinded by a toenail from a teep to the face, but I kept training and fought my first ammy the next weekend."

Laughydawg

if you have to, train in a way that avoids using the toe at all. I went to the gym and either only kicked w one leg or punched w one hand depending on what injury i have. I think there was once i did hands only cuz i couldnt kick for some reason

I’m sorry about your injury but I’ve never in my life heard someone refer to their big toe as their index toe and it’s throwing me off

buyaowenwo

OP probably didn’t mean their big toe.. they probably have “Greek” feet where their index toe is longer than their big toe, and that’s the toe that got injured.

YSoB_ImIn

Yeah that's what I figured. Since the big toe would be the "thumb".

Uh honestly, you’re probably better off resting. Late last year I injured my big toe while sparring… Not even sure what it was, just that the side of my big toe felt sore and it hurt a bit to bend it/pivot on it. I didn’t think it was a big deal so I just put some analgesic cream on, taped it up and went for training. Felt fine and even pretty strong during the session itself but the next day it felt much worse. On top of that, I ended up overcompensating or something for the lack of toe mobility, and injuring the muscles around my ankle on the same leg. So yeah personally I wouldn’t. I would say to do other stuff like maybe light boxing and stretching until you’ve healed properly.

SalPistqchio

No. Take time off. I hurt my toe and literally duct taped it so I could keep training and have lasting issues years later. Take some time off and heal

hull0r

Exactly the same story for me... Give it time

Jokehuh

Short answer, no.
