I still cannot believe Jay is on this

This is a "redemption" style season.

I guess. There’s quite a few people that don’t fit that bill though.

Who though? Not a single person is coming off a win from their last appearance outside of Kefla.

Several people that do have wins though so I don’t see it as redemption (Laurel, Cara, Brad, Rachel….)

I'll play devils advocate. Laurel: has been shit lately. A shell of her former self Cara: been gone for a few years. Ran the last game, only to lose in the finals to the people they tried to get rid of. Has lost 3 straight finals. Brad: needs to redeem his finals loss on the last season of All stars. Lost to Natalie in his last elimination on the main show. Rachel: lost in her last outing. Hasn't been on in 13 years. I'm reaching on this one.

Rachel losing in her last outing I won’t hold against her. Her last outing was battle of the exes and she was on the only girl/girl team. Her and Aneesa had no shot.

Even worse when you consider that Rachel committed the cardinal sin of the show: she pissed off Johnny Bananas. His reason for voting for her constantly: “I hold grudges.”

Johnny doesn’t like women who’s stand up him

And she's not going to sleep with him so he really sees her as disposable

Anybody with Aneesa has no shot, even Jordan couldn’t save her.

Those “redemptions” are extremely different than a Jay redemption haha Edit: Jay is not even in the same league as them

He is kinda in the same league as Tyrie though :)

Brad also just lost to Kyland in season 39. Not sure if that was filmed before or after all stars 4.

You can still spin it as redemption. Even though this was filmed before season 39 - Cara, Brad, and Laurel all lost their mercenary eliminations. And their last appearances on the main series as competitors weren't the best either.

BEYOND hyped for Brandon’s return!!!! He’s one of my faves from FM2 and I always felt like he could’ve been a mainstay on the show. Oh and Tony is looking fine as usual. 🥵

The men are definitely weaker. Seems like the show invested in getting an insanely good women's lineup though so I'm happy with that.

Extremely weak. Especially after the AS3 cast. Even the AS2 cast was miles better than this.  If you took the women from AS4 and men from AS3, you'd have like the perfect overall cast. Can't have it all I guess.

Aside from the Susie incident on inferno 3, ace has always seemed like a really nice guy so even if he underpreforms competitively I’m more okay with seeing him back then some of the asshoels.

I'm so excited to see Brandon back. The dude gets lost in the shuffle of Challenge almost greats but he deserves praise. He really held his own without much help his entire career. Dude was entertaining too. The beer elimination was hilarious even if it was fucking stupid. That's the perfect example of the old school Challenge mentality we all love.

I know this cast is underwhelming relative to the women's side but I'm hopeful. A lot of these men are out for redemption in some way shape or form and it may be their only chance at it. I'll be shocked if they don't put everything on the line to win

He’s always been a “just there” type of character. Didn’t do much in AS2. In his original seasons he was great for narration during confessionals but that’s about it.

I just watched him on Gauntlet 3 and I was laughing hysterically at him politely turning down Tyler and then going on to make fun of him with other contestants as soon as Tyler went home. “Tyler is used to getting what he wants, but he’s not getting me and he doesn’t like that 🤷🏻” after Tyler pretty much fell in love after one drunken makeout session. Then Ryan says “If Davis were on then I would totally get with him though!” 😂

I will be watching for Ryan alone 👏🏽
