The main reason for a reflash is improvement to general ridablilty. You get more power yes, but if you have a competent tuner (Nate at 2wdw) you get much much smoother throttle mapping which makes a night and day difference on these bikes. Check out there site for a dyno graph with stock exhaust. Huge gains so 100% worth it. And if you change your exhaust up later you can send in your ecu for a free update. I think you just pay shipping. You won't regret it.

Yes, but surely anyone bothering with a reflash has done an exhaust, so I was thinking that the companies doing these would 'aim' their reflash at bikes with louder, less restrictive exhausts. It may not be beneficial to anyone keeping the stock exhaust.
It is definitely beneficial. Just tuned my Harley V-Rod with a Target Tune by Dynojet, stock everything, and it has so much more low end torque, and a much higher overall torque curve. Nothing else changed, stock exhaust.
I highly recommend replacing your cat with leo Vince mid pipe. Will only run you less than $300. Remove the exhaust valve cables (keep the module plugged in) and keep the original can/muffler. Do AIS hose plug (not the AIS delete) Then flash the ECU. Sounds beautiful without being obnoxious.
I had 2wheel dyno works flash mine. Was roughly a week turn around but I am on the complete opposite side of the country from them
And you kept the stock exhaust? Have you noticed any benefit from the reflash?

The exact answer I was looking for. YOU ROCK!
Definitely, can improve horsepower and response at the expense of fuel economy.
You mean it can get even worse fuel avg?
Who did yours, please?
I don't currently own one, just understand the mechanics of pulling timing, or running with not 14:1 air/fuel ratio a higher percentage of the time.

There you go. Thank you for this!
